DO NOT ENTER Sign at The Stalin Building; I ENTERED 🇵🇱

DO NOT ENTER Sign at The Stalin Building; I ENTERED 🇵🇱
Join me on this adventure at the Stalin Building of Culture and Sciences in Warsaw Poland.
This structure is so massive, it took me ages to walk around it, whilst looking for an open entrance.
After seeing a Do Not Enter Sign, I decided to enter and see what the tourists don't get to see in this amazing building.
If you enjoy adventure videos from the former Soviet Union and Central and Eastern Europe, then grab your vodka, some zakusky and join me as I enter the forbidden part of the Stalin Building in Warsaw Poland.

Warsaw Palace of Culture is slightly different from the other twins in that the idea of this project was to incorporate architectural elements characteristic of Poland into the body and interior of the building, including: Renaissance attics ( Kazimierz Dolny), coffered ceilings (Wawel), etc.

22.50 I too have been to the top of that building and looked out and photographed Warsaw from where you were standing back in 1984. You missed it but there are various interesting etchings in the stonework up there as well such as Russian soldiers and officers who carved love hearts etc into the stonework as permanent reminders of their stays away from home. From a social history perspective, I found that almost just as interesting as the view from the top. I suppose as a Russian Language graduate, these little things fascinate me but probably they will not be of interest to you so much. There used to be a nice bookshop inside as well as a cinema that might even still exist though I know that the bookshop has long since gone. Also, somewhere back on street level is a small science museum that shows various items such as the birth of radio and television in Poland which was quite interesting and not too expensive to get into. On reflection, I wonder if this building or at least this type of construction influenced Ceausescu of Romania who built something even more lavish and out of place.

One note. The center of Warsaw was possible to rebuild. The communists made a different decision. The Palace of Culture and Science and the MDM(Marszałkowska Dzielnica Mieszkaniowa - Marszałkowska Residential District) were built. A few pre-war tenement houses have survived. The city is reconstructed in 3D technology. Short fragments can be seen on YT. Production title; Warsaw 1935 3D You couldn't see the Congress Hall in the Palace of Culture and Science because renovation works are underway there. The Palace of Culture and Science is called Stalin's penis, not his birthday cake. Question: Where is the best view of Warsaw? Answer: From the observation deck at the Palace of Culture and Science Question: Why? Answer: Because you don't see the Palace of Culture and Science then.

Łukasza Kośmickiego (w obsadzie Bill Pullman i Robert Więckiewicz), w którym miedzynarodowy turniej szachowy w Pałacu Kultury i Sztuki w Warszawie rozgrywają Rosjanin i Amerykanin (a prawdziwa gra toczy się oczywiście o uratowanie ludzkości).
