You *can* use step up rings…but my experience is they are another thing that’s fussy, that can get lost, etc. And then there’s the weird flaring of VND (not a deal breaker) and fogging in between the plates (the absolute worst, though I’m sure some are better sealed. For the moment I am sticking to matched diameter, or non-v NDs. Swapping lenses faster and without the nails-on-chalkboard sound of step up rings

To be fair he’s using the magnet filters so he’s not really screwing anything in except the first time he installs a step up ring

I love these filters. I know Freewell has a nice filter system also but these have a nice simple mechanism to it, really easy and simple

how are you popping off the vnd that quickly? im using a 67mm-58mm ring but have to screw it...

same esp with 16 mm and below. better to have a dedicated 77 and 82 IMO

Polarpro made this video out of date ;-). Step up rings are horrible to use in my experience. Even with tools removing a step up ring from the filter is an hour long process for me. Polarpro Maglock solves everything!

You are not buying the largest VND, there is only one size. You buy the base plates for all of your lenses and then never remove them and that single VND fits all of them. It works because the defender shields that attach to all of the base plates protecting your glass.

Which mm do you have brother?

I believe the Helix MagLock system goes up to 82mm and I use it on a 67mm and 82 mm lens.

350$ for a filter is insane. It would have to be gold-plated and covered in red diamonds for me to buy it at this price lol Then again, all of his products are a rip-off for the fanboys.
