Imo its ok to mix brands as long as you don't mix loud logo/branded pieces from two brands that are in the same lane and at the same level. So mixing nike and adidas is a no go, but mixing adidas and reebok is fine.

You can blame me for it, but I wear only Nike shoes and have just Adidas Original socks. In my opinion Nike produces the best sneakers and Adidas produces the best common clothes, so sometimes it happens, that this gets mixed up.
