Tbh. I appreciate when true believers talk about real issues because I can receive it. We need it, because there are a lot of non Christians out here giving poor advice and causing a lot of confusion. I respect a reliable source. A lot of Christians battle gluttony and I’m excited that y’all are addressing it💚

This episode right here felt like a gut punch, but I needed to hear this. I’ve always been Active but I’ve also always been an emotional eater. I’m 42 now so losing and keeping the weight off is more challenging than before. I go from one extreme to the other. I no longer recognize myself and I find myself hiding in plain sight. I know that with God’s help and my obedience to Him, I can become the healthiest version of myself again. Thanks for being transparent. I’m so proud of what you ladies are doing❤️❤️❤️❤️

Great topic! This is real, God in His wisdom created men to be attracted to a woman’s beauty and they like what they like. We need to understand this and use it to our advantage rather than attacking it!

Yes yes yes, looks definitely matter because presentation is everything. My mom taught us the same thing about the accident. Lol 😂 but honestly, when you look good, you feel good and if you do it for yourself then you won’t have a problem doing it for your partner.

Great topic! As women, we tend to be emotional beings. If we don’t “feel” good or appreciated by our significant other it tends to weigh on us mentally which translates to our outer appearance. It may not be that she “fell off” or “got him” so she chooses to not do the same things that it took to get her man. Ultimately, it has to start from withIN. Just like the saying goes, everything that “looks good” isn’t always good. It’s important to make sure your innermost parts are optimal and then it’ll translate outwardly. Wearing makeup and nice clothes doesn’t cover up internal trauma and hurts. I can only speak on my own experience and journey.

This was a good episode. Gave me a lot to think about. I’m not a girly girl but there are things I can start to work on so that I am presenting the best version of me. I do think looks matter. For me it’s about discovering my personal style

Great episode. I really appreciate the transparency. I applaud your commitment and discipline regarding your transformation, Coach Shameka. Looks matter indeed. We were reared to always look our best, even if we were going outside to play as children, we put on a cute outfit and combed our hair, evening growing up in public housing. Our mother ALWAYS dressed to the nine. There’s a saying. “Cleanliness is next to godliness.” Hygiene is paramount. We were told to always have on clean underwear because if you end up in the emergency room, clean undies matter. I taught my daughter always look your best because you never know who you will run into. What if you see your celebrity crush, or someone you like. Always look good, more so for yourself then others. It boosts your self-esteem. I want to encourage ladies who are watching who are not in a position to pay for professional services, you can do it yourself, your hair, nails, brows, working out at home. If you don’t know how to, Google is your friend, you can learn to do anything. Learn how to mix match your wardrobe. Look good for you and your boo. It’s also good to communicate with your spouse on what he likes, and tell him what you like. Finally, DO NOT compare yourself to others. Remember, you were fearfully and wonderfully made. God look at you and said, “That’s good.” Wonderful episode, ladies. Great content. Needed discussion.

What is the best way to communicate to a man that I love it when his beard is groomed. I am intentional about my self-care and how I look and feel at all times. I am realizing it is a need for me to see my man's beard and face groomed at all times, how do I best communicate that in a feminine way that makes sense to him?
