Do Liberal Women Want Conservative Men?

Ойын-сауық

I keep seeing more and more women talking about how they can't seem to find liberal men who hold certain "traditional" traits they desire. One woman recently shared her frustrations on TikTok, which quickly led to a larger discussion about this dating problem facing liberal women in 2023. Let's talk about it.

Yeah. It's a strange demand. Sorry to get mad suddenly, but I don't get this idea that "traditional gender roles" translates to women being stuck inside and exclusively a mom in so many people's minds. That's what especially liberals' and feminists' seem to think and it is a very narrow view of the past. They've gaslit everyone to think all those adds from the 50's of women just cooking and staying at home were somehow the norm and bad. That was never how it was. Those adds were an ideal (if you can call it that). Women were always working their a$$es off as hard as the guys. Before public school, the women were educating kids. Before people could get to town quickly, the family was gardening. Women weren't uneducated or prisoners before feminism, we just didn't have as many rights or opportunities. It's horrible, coz now even the manosphere has this narrow outlook too, except they embrace it as if that's the natural order of things. Edit: Her life or freedom is not undermined bcoz he is different from her. People that are working together need to compliment each other or build each other up, no matter how that manifests. She can't say "I want, I want, I want" in a relationship and expect the man to never dislike anything or have his own wants.

At least she apologized, maybe she is in her journey from feminism to feminine. I never was extreme feminist but because of how badly my father treated my mother I grew afraid of depending on men, and I did everything I could to be or look independent. I still was kind and and with a smiling face though, which attracted some conservative guys, and finally when I met my husband and truly met Jesus I realized how Satan used my fear to keep me from being who I was really meant to be. A feminine and not feminist. I’m far from being perfect but my views and values sure changed for the better over the years. Be patient and forgiving guys. If a women is willing to apologize and learn something new, she may be a better catch than many out there. I have known conservative women who become prideful and think there’s nothing new to learn. Don’t ignore a red flag, but also don’t completely judge someone because of one mistake, is not like conservative women’s are perfect and will never offend your feelings. Now you need to give the example of not getting offended and forgiving.

  • @NunyaBusiness...

    @NunyaBusiness...

@@rebecaanderson1935 I'm happy for your and your happiness. I truly am, but the journey is a bit different for a man, especially a conservative or traditional man. You say yourself that you were kind and that attracted men who approached you and you were able to find a good one. That's a solid departure from what a man experiences. Men are not approached or pursued by women, especially conservative feminine ones. They have to step into the shark tank and hope to not be bitten and incite a feeding frenzy. All it takes is an accusation of being (insert current trendy ist against men here) or of doing anything that a woman FEELS is inappropriate, and it can ruin a man. It doesn't have to be true. It doesn't have to actually be inappropriate. A woman just has to feel like it was, and then it's blood in the water. Those are the worst case scenarios, but even in the best case scenario it is the man who is taking the responsibility of pursuit and the risk of rejection. If a man could sit back and just smile and be kind and have multiple suitors demonstrate that they are interested, that would be different. He'd already know that a compliment wouldn't be deemed harassment. He'd know that looking in her direction wouldn't be considered creepy because she's already shown that to some degree he isn't physically deficient to her. That's not a man's role. He has to wade into the waters and approach the sharks hoping he's found one that won't bite. Don't take this as me being on the idiot wagon with Tate, either. A loving monogamous relationship that leads to a nuclear family is the healthies and best thing for society and the individual. Society has just raised the risk to men and popularized the demonization of men to the point that some are tired of being bitten in the hopes of finding one of the sharks that isn't hungry has lost some of it's allure. The lowest risk, that of rejection, has always been enough to cause trepidation, but now? When there is no recourse to the accusations and no punishment for false accusations it goes far beyond trepidation into outright risk of livelihood, reputation, and even freedom. Is it not understandable for men to be unwilling to assume the risk after being nipped a few times, or after being used, lied to, or led on? Would anyone blame a woman for not wanting to take on the risk if they were subjected to the same level of risk? Why would a man increase that risk in giving a walking red flag a second chance, so to speak?

However, all that money and time put towards a career, then you realizing your "desires changed" and you didn't want that DOES lend credence to the idea that a lot of women have bought into the "boss babe" propaganda when many, if not most, don't truly want that. Obviously there are exceptions, but young women are being propagandized that they won't be happy unless they do that. The fact that you could even *choose* to leave a career and "come home" perfectly highlights the difference between men and women. And of course, because she's a modern feminism, I heard a lot of chatter about how horrible men are and how horrible of a man I am, because this that and something else. It drained me. That woman and her nastiness, pushed me away from more modern thinking of relationships. It pushed more more towards conservative women. It pushed me right. Going through that whole experience. Right now I'm just trying to learn to trust again, and to trust women again, and that a relationship can be a healthy and happy thing. Made me realize, I want the traditional roles. I don't mind being the provider, working hard to take care of my family. But I want someone that meets me on that. That works to help keep the home happy and well, while I work to provide and take care of us. Most importantly, I don't want someone that is going to fight me for control. Let me lead, let me take care of us. Don't constantly second guess me, don't put me down, fight with me for control over every situation. You want me to be the man of the house, then let me be the man of the house. Uggh. It frustrated me so much. The thing that pops to mind was the home we were renovating to be my office. She would not let me renovate it myself. I kept pushing, but she just didn't seem to trust that I could do it, that I had the skill. Despite the fact that I had been doing woodworking, and have helped on numerous remodeling projects all throughout my life. She pushed to hire some guy to do it. Under the table, cutting her a good deal type. The dude was awful though, and slow. His craftsmanship was appalling. He was so slimy too. He'd talk to her differently than me. She spoke Spanish and I so he did that right in front of my face. The ex at least had the decency to tell me what he was saying. I ended up pushing to fire him and finally convinced her to just let me finish it right. We had a major fight within days of that, and I left her. I had enough. I was sick of it. That office never was finished. I lost a ton of money through that period of life. I'm starting over from scratch. Have barely anything to my name anymore. I am so happy I'm not a part of that anymore though. It's lonely some days, but I'm happier now.

The idea that an opposing or contradictory political belief equates to grooming is just another example of how broken the notion of "democracy" is in the United States. There's no democracy. It's like, ''are you even following what's happening? They are destroying civilization.'' Red states can actually produce women, and men. The other side, is basically keeping folks in a perpetual state of childhood who can't cope with life, so that they can win re-elections. And instead of divorcing ourselves from them, it's ''well, one man will be able to solve this'', no, he won't.

At that point, they realize they’ve been lied to but it’s too late. We have created a society of mindless consumers who have no foundation, discipline, or direction. We need to raise our children with conservative values in the home, set a good example, create community where we live, in our houses of worship, teach and guide our children ourselves.

I admit, I used to be in the same boat, so to speak. When I was fourteen, I had a crush on a guy from my high school who was moderately conservative. Most of my friends at the time were very liberal, and me, not having much exposure to other perspectives, agreed with them. Because of this, the boy I liked wasn't very interested in me - we were friends, but not especially close, due to our differences in perspectives and priorities. However, now it's two years later and I have had the opportunity to expose myself to a broadwr range of opinions, and as a result have begun to lean more right. When he and I talk now, we have much more common ground to discuss and we are a lot closer; he seems to be initiating conversations with me much more frequently than he's ever done in the past. I know I'm only sixteen, but I've realized that if I want a long-term relationship with a right-leaning guy, I should get my priorities in check and know what to expect on my end.

I was a single mother (now in long-term relationship of 7 yrs) went through a divorce after almost 7 years of an abusive marriage. The reason I stayed so long is because I truly believe in the traditional marriage and family. I was demoralized thinking it was my fault we couldn't have a happy family and live out our vows. Still 15 yrs later everytime the date of our wedding anniversary rolls around I get super depressed and beat up on myself mentally for not being able to keep a happy family and home. I still want that. So just because a woman is a single mom doesn't mean they are liberal.

One year late, we have a house, a rental property and a wedding in the way. At the end of the day, it’s about finding someone you can build a life with. I realized that we ultimately had the same core values. Many people are not so political and tend to be more liberal by default. I’ve never been more loved and well treated, even when I tried to be with like minded conservatives.

I spend 3-4 hours a day doing my work and have the rest of the day to do whatever I want. My husband doesn't have that luxury. He works 8-12 hours a day, so when he comes home, *I* like to have the house in a comfortable state and, if possible, have dinner waiting. That's my choice, not his demand. Men aren't the monsters that feminists make them out to be. They're just people who want to be treated like they matter.

gold star for you. it's crazy how many women don't realize/see this think about it, the alternative to having a family is doing what many of us men have to do, work full time, so 8 hr days, for 30+ years, many times for a job we don't particularly care for. That's the tradeoff for women if they choose to not get married. Sure, having kids is hard work and, once they are here, could be more time than a job. But I see that as many times more appealing than working a corporate job. Sadly I think many women will realize this too late, after they've hit a wall and then realize they bought into the lie that they could have it all. not to say they can't get married still, but I'm warning young women early, you'll have a heck of an easier time if you start sooner rather than later, while young, to snag a quality mate. Otherwise, you are competing with the next gen of 20's yo women's which you don't want to do. Men and women are different, don't believe the lie of the l d f w movement. We want diff things in a relationship. most men don't care whether a woman has a career, they care more about her being young and fertile (that's what biology at least has us men initially attracted to). And I'd say that you aren't entitled, and don't spend recklessly. After it's getting to know and see if you are a quality person. I warn a lot in comments, sadly many women don't seem to take heed. Wait too long, and men will stop approaching, they can still be found, but you'd have to start making a lot more effort vs your prime years in your 20's, where men are more likely to initiate and treat you to stuff. most women I think would be happier, long term, having a family and being surrounded by loved one and relationships, vs working for a soulless corp. And many men would very strongly want to be in a relationship and get married (good men, albeit perhaps socially awkward), yet many women don't give them a chance. We'd all be happier if women started becoming more traditional again, and stopped believing the bull crap lies of the l d w f movement. I myself have been wanting to get married since I was in kindergarten. The older and more established I get, the pickier I get though, I can't justify giving away my life savings+ for a girl who won't try to communicate, isn't at least somewhat teachable, and won't show me basic level human kindness (unless she wants something from me). Don't simp gents, if you're doing the right thing and what you should be doing, you are the prize. It's better to be alone than with a girl who can't at least try at these base level things

Nah, a girl broke up with me like 5 months back after we'd been together for years because she had begun identifying my growing conservative leanings over the last 2+ years. Finally came to a head when she said "I'm embarrassed to bring you around my friends and family". I am never over the top about my thoughts at gatherings, or anything like that, and I fully accepted her lefty personality. She's never been "activist" level of libtard, but she definitely was NOT conservative in the slightest. I tried really hard to compromise, but she simply could not tolerate my viewpoints, despite admitting that many of them were correct in prior discussions. Despite all that, I made it very known I accepted her; she could not accept me. This really is a leftwing behaviour that they just cannot tolerate anyone who does not share their views.

Why she has to compromise if she does not want to change like you did. Do you believe her love and feelings includes a part of Loyalty and this should make her change or compromise or admit you are "correct"? That's sure a conservative way of thinking. I guess the outcome of your change made the ending of your couple inevitable. Don't blame her. Blame your own change.

I still miss the physical and emotional moments we had, since the love was genuine, I cried so much for her and did not have the heart to dump her. The issue is people no longer 'just talk'. Simple conversation has gone away and everything has become a debate. Maybe we can thank the idiot box, or politicians, to divide us to the point where we become adversarial and every talking point becomes a debate to win instead of a conversation where empathy might leak in. It's pretty simple, in a conversation - everyone wins and we get to understand each other a little bit more. In a debate, there are winners and losers and both sides are more likely to become entrenched in their beliefs. When was the last time you heard someone say "hey, how are you?" and intrinsically knew it was a genuine question?

When I asked why they wouldn't go for the many liberals trying to worship the ground they walked on, they remarked that the men they used to date before me were irresponsible and pathetic. Anyway, we "broke up" (were never official) they were ULTRA pro choice, up to the moment of birth shout your baby deletion type of person, not religious, hated their father and men in general, a member of the pronoun police (as you can see they trained me well), and only wanted ONE child, and it had to be through surrogacy because they didn't want to carry a child... all due respect to them and I still pray for them to this day but... it wasn't for me. I found me a conservative.

@@poeloganyou’re absolutely correct. I’m a young woman, and I want my future husband to have all of the wonderful characteristics that my own father has. It’s only natural, because our parents are supposed to be teachers and role models for us, to lead by example. A boy learns how to be a good man from his dad, and learns what a good woman is from his mom. Girls are the same but opposite. I’ll probably have someone with a different personality to my dad because he and I are very similar, but I want a man who’s as hard working, smart, loyal, Godly, and funny as he is, because I know how wonderful the life he’s given my mother and our family is. I can imagine that a woman who grew up with an absent father wouldn’t know what a good father looks like, so she looks for a man that will be just as vacant as her own father. She isn’t looking for a real man, but an idea. And she doesn’t have a good idea at all.

I hate this whole idea that "trad wives" and conservative women are confined to the home. I am a stay home mom, but by no means am I stuck in the house! I'm not chained to the kitchen. I'm not oppressed by my husband. I chose this lifestyle for myself. And my husband has made it abundantly clear that I am not just welcome but encouraged to find ways to get out of the house and take breaks from our toddler, even to get a part time job or make money in some way. Also, I have never and will never blindly submit to my husband. I choose to follow him, because he's earned my trust. I know that every decision he makes for our family is about what's best for all of us. And he would never lay down commands; he talks with me, gets my perspective, listens to my concerns and ideas and weighs them in the whole equation. The second he stops doing that, I would call him out and push back, and he wants me to do that! Because I carefully searched for good man, and I found him.

I don’t know, some men may actually have a complex thought process about many topics. I am Pro-Choice right up until the zygote becomes a fetus and could survive outside the womb with some assistance from an incubator. Up until then, the zygote is an embryo and is nothing more than a glorified appendage attached to a woman’s body. I mean it takes few months to reach the fetus stage, so why did it take the mother that long to decide to terminate the pregnancy? See, I can subscribe to many ideas, that may be progressive, while also wishing to maintain certain traditions that are not treading on others rights.
