    Thanks for the video. The comment from BugKiller makes it seems like if there is a special liquid pest control to pump in the tubing. Can you elaborate on that? What liquid do you advise to use?

    Wow what a great video! I really want to do this myself but the pest control companies refuse to give me any direction how to use my home system or sell me any tools. I'm in the process of making a home made model myself using compressed nitrogen w/ an old refrigerant manifold. What psi do you pressurize your air to? Where can one buy those tips? (Im planning on using a modified pin needle nozzle from my air compressor but that may not work so well)

    Built one for around $125.00. Some parts I had, some bought. Used a 5 gallon air tank and did all the plumbing. No regulator though, found it it's really not necessary if you limit you air pressure between 30 and 40 PSI. The tubes at my house are small so the compressed air goes a long way. I fill the thing by first putting the tank in a vacuum and sucking the liguid from a gallon container. Again a little plumbing work and fittings goes a long way. Just used it the first time without a hitch. I can carry it around and spray the outside of the house as well since it's very compact and light. A lot of thought went into this to make it inexpensive, effective and light to carry. All fittings are brass, the tank itself is steel and may have to be replaced down the line but for $25, who cares.

    Daniel Knox Hey, I wouldn't mind however. I have built a revised edition made out of PVC. I would be glad to share pics as well as parts used. It's regulated. The newer one works better and don't have to worry about rust. The PVC must be the original type, it has a burst pressure of around 700PSI. I still use a vacuum pump to charge the unit with liguid. I use around 50PSI regulated and 100PSI in the air tank. It's enough to do the house and spray the perimeter as well....about a gallon of chemical. I do my house as well as the two of my childrens houses and the results so far are stellar. The unit is light, it can be carried around. no need for a hand truck or separate tanks....it's all one piece. If you want to post your e-mail, I'll send info.

    What pesticide do you use to run through it that won't clog it? I was going to use the home defense from lowe's since I've had the best luck with it. Also can I run nitrogen through the lines instead of air? Or bad idea?

    With respect to the pesticide, can one use Fipronil (Tarus SC or Termidor)? I am currently digging and making the perimeter moat, but would like to pump some of this in the walls just in case. Not too worried about the other bugs. Worried about clogs in the system. Any thoughts on a tube flush after the pesticide? Also, what can I use to pop off the Taexx cover?

    We can exchange some knowledge here lol. I want to DIY my pest control and I need to know what is best for spiders, I have a pond behind my house and the perimeter of my home is full of spiders. I also have the Taexx system. First of all do not use CO2 is Carbon Monoxide and could be slightly toxic to be introduced inside the home. You can use Nitrogen at 180psi. 7 seconds spray with pesticide will be good for a 40 to 60 length of tubing or per tubing. After injecting the pesticide, add 10 seconds of nitrogen gas to eliminate all residue chemical left inside the tubing and preparing it for the next injections. For removing the Taexx cover just use a needle pliers and turn it carefully to not damaged

    @@jaimehernandez5791 first of all, CO2 is carbon dioxide which is what you breath out when you exhale. the "Di" in dioxide means two. Monoxide is 1 (like Mono) so carbon monoxide like from a cars exhaust is CO

    I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish with this video other than jeopardizing your livelihood and other businesses that spend a lot of money installing these systems in homes. Do you install the tubes in homes? If you did you would now that pest control companies have to pay franchise fees to use the systems and usually put them in at there expense hoping the home owner will go on service so they can recover there investment. You can not just throw any chemical in the tank either some formulations will clog the tubes up instantly if you do not know what to use.

  • @MrRenosis

    @MrRenosis

    8 жыл бұрын

    If companies are putting in products at a loss in the hopes of getting later service contracts, then that is a risk they take. Charge more for the installation. If a home user wants to use the system that he paid for, without paying some company, the more power to him. Why should anyone limit their self because some business made a decision to install something at a loss. Build into the price of installation the potential loss to DIY type customers, don't try to silence the spread of knowledge!

    +Bug Killer If you mean by "a lot of money"--less than $200 only to turn around and bully the homeowner into using their service only at inflated prices meanwhile threatening other companies who bought machines that they are not allowed to use them.... ok....
