- Make your own simple circuit to experiment with high voltage discharge in the air. The spark generated is very strong and can be used to make a lighter or to ignite a remote engine.
- The circuit consists of an NPN transistor, 2 resistors, a primary winding, a feedback coil and a secondary winding wound on the same ferrite core to operate at high frequencies of hundreds of KHz.
- The principle of the circuit is to generate oscillations by themselves thanks to the feedback coil. The secondary coil consists of thousands of turns of wire (about 2000 turns) to create a very large induced voltage to ionize the air and create an electric spark.
