They call those “cars” that slide up & down, you should get some extra’s if you find them. You can probably get a machinist to make you some if you can’t find any or anything you can use to make one. I was thinking that they looked like a part that I saw on something else but I can’t remember what it was, maybe a bike?

What type of boat does your friend have please? Many thanks. I really enjoy your videos. Could you mention about any disabled sailors you know or facilities for disabled sailors ant the ports you visit. I'm fine(ish) on a yacht but would struggle on land. Cheers!

Hah! Gaaaaaaay!

I think that you may have to use larger sail slides and squeeze them to fit with a vise grip, once you get the perfect fit you can then squeeze them all because the grip is set. My understanding is that your boat, like mine have nice bronze slides that are no longer made so we settle for stainless diy fitting... it's all good and I would rather have your dinghy set up any day over the rib!

My q is how do you stay motivated? and how do you deal with been alone a lot of the time? I do a lot of months solo sailing around the Mediterranean probably 6/7 months a year and want to do it full time, and go further but i loose my drive come October when things go slow and shut down in the med so good luck and well done for keeping your self positive

I meet a lot of other sailor friends and as we all go in the same direction we keep meeting over and over. its not lonely at all. unless maybe when you only do long distances

Whats a good average weeks or months budget look like . Ya know fuel ,oil, filters, food , hygiene,weed everything !

Do you have a wind vane on your boat, if so can you do an episode on it's operation?

Good question! I have never thought about making a record. Not so much as usually distances are short

I suspect there is an aweful lot of boat maintenance work you could do to your boat. Sure much of it would be cosmetic, like stripping back your decks and repainting them, ditto the wood trims, but perhaps more importantly how about fixing your drooping lifelines on the starboard side. They have been like this for too long. That is an issue of safety after all. Also, surely installation of an anchor windlass is long overdue as hauling up by hand your anchor must be a real pain in the arse. What would be interesting to know, is what are your longer term plans, eg are you planning to get down to Panama and to go through the canal to the Pacific to head across to the Marquesas and French Polynesia etc or to where might you go.

Did you have to get covid tested in Antigua?

Lots of nice water scenery in today's vlog. At the beginning of the video we saw you tossing away a black bad of trash on the island however we never seen you emptying your holding tank. Do you do this at a dock or do you just empty it in the water? if you empty it in the water do you do it before or after you swim around your boat scraping off barnacles? 🙂

My questions would be: How does a young single guy not go crazy from loneliness spending so much time alone and not being around other people and having a social life? Also- have you thought about bring crew on the boat like the other you tubers do? Have you thought about offering something like week-long sailing classes for us fans? 🙂
