Great video. I’m getting ready to start up my car hauling business with a one car trailer and I am learning a lot from these KZread videos. One tip if you go on 150 miles or less per day you’re considered local and you don’t need an ELD or paper log.

I have used Keep trucking but i am thinking of switching to a company based out of north dakota. Someone based in the USA!

Going to the grocery store and personal running i would just unplug it! You only have to sit stationary for 15 minutes if you 10 hours just ended. If they had been off duty for the 10:34 like your is showing then you can edit the log and move it back and then your good to go to save that 15 minutes!

If you in plug it comes up as unclaimed the next time you actually use it, so I just take the 10 seconds to long in PC and carry on about my day When you are actually doing “driving” you have to show 15 minutes for a “pre trip” and 15 minutes for a “post trip” yes I know my screen depicted off duty hours how ever if you where actually on drive time , the inspection would be needed

Let me add a few things 1. If you dont travel over 150 air miles which is around 188 road miles you do not need a ELD! 2. If you do travel over the 150 air miles or 188 road miles but only do it less than 8 times a month then you do not need a ELD! 3. If your truck is older than a 2000 then you also dont need a ELD!
