I really recommend going back and getting all the berries at some point! In SJ's case I found some of the most interesting and memorable rooms were berry rooms, GM lobby included. It's really been a blast watching you fly through SJ, and gl with the GMHS!

I agree, there are quite a few levels I'd love to revisit for berries! Sometime in the future I intend to allow SJ berries to be nominated on the Patreon wheel.

Congrats on getting through one of the hardest flags in the map! Can't wait to watch the rest of your GMHS journey!

Good luck on gmhs. You can definately do it, it will just take time. So, my guess on your finishing time will be 75 hours. This is based on my clear time up to flag 13, where I spent 3.5h total, and adding on some fact that you won't get proportionally as much skill issue as me on SOME of the later flags. There's a good news for you, that Flag 15 is considered one of the four (?) hardest flags in gmhs, which is pretty insane considering it's originally a yellow level. I think the average clear time for easier flags for you will be around 0.5~1.5 hours, while I will personally guess the longest time you spend on one flag will be 25 hours (sneaky smile) Also there's some important stuff that I was about to tell you at the solar express episode, but I forgot: Many of the later flags have nicely designed transitions between them, and are mostly unskippable when you trigger the animation. To maximize the experience, I would suggest you to not cross any obvious 'endings' of each flag while practising with savestates. Personally I think in this video the transition between stellar oddysey and world abyss is pretty cool, as madeline seems to be going too fast and exiting the world boundary, and then entering the abyss.

I just started following this grind recently. I just started GMHS yesterday. So cool to see other people's journeys to get here :)

Just to let you know, it is totally fine to just debug back to the room you left off at if you returned to map. As long as you have beaten every room in the map it will count.

The hardlist team are pretty reasonable btw. For a flub like returning to lobby...because they couldn't implement the save feature due to a conflict with the chapter system, they would probably let you just savestate to the room and clear, especially since your original clear is recorded. I think issy has done this in one of her videos and she owns the thing...I could be misremembering but there's a lot of "I think that counts" energy to some of the crazier maps, like this one. Either way, more hype to do it in a single run anyway, or at least on a chapter by chapter basis! And you ARE insane! So am I...I'm going for Shattersong berries right now. 😩 Super excited to continue the video now! Very curious how flag 15 went for you...😊

GG Checkpoint 1 and 2! You're breezing through these! There are a couple more flags that are definitely chokepoints...one of the biggest complaints about this level is its balancing. But you're doing awesome! What a journey. I might go back and rewatch your earlier videos. I was such a doubter back then haha...you kept blowing me away with your perseverance and determination. It's so awesome to see, you insane man.

Chris yea as long as you clear every room in the level you can submit it to the hard list, you don’t have to do it in one game session. Just have every clear on recording.

you dont even need it to be recorded for this map. theyre honestly really lenient with this stuff (other 2 stars and all the 3 stars need a vid tho)

For hardlist verification, you don't even have to beat the rooms in order! Just recorded footage of each individual room clear is perfectly sufficient for any hard clear. It's perfectly within the rules to debug back to the room you were up to, or even skip a room and come back to it later. It is usually best to mention that that's what happened if you do that though. What IS required is beating the room with no savestate or pause abuse, and then going into the next room. By the way, even if you accidentally use a savestave in the middle of a room, if you don't die, it's still a legitimate room clear. Don't worry about hardlist verification, what you're doing is more than enough!! Also, I'm so happy you uploaded! I've been waiting for these finale videos for a long time, and it's so good to see you enjoying this amazing mod. Oh, and you qualified as a Celeste Grandmaster ages ago... by playing this you could consider yourself a GM+1 player!

@@michodali5342 As of the hist overhaul a few days ago, you only need verification of 3* and 4*. You used to need video of GMHS because it was 2* and that was the requirement.

That editing mistake in the original upload made me realize that having unedited versions of these videos on a second channel would be pretty cool! I would 1000% watch an indie game Chris celeste stream

I've thought about streaming. I don't have a great setup for my webcam though, with just a blank wall and bedpost behind me. I notice most streamers have lights or books or action figures. Maybe sometime.

You are insane! After this I really hope you play Darkmoon Ruins, it is the easiest hardlist map, but not easy of course. Probably my favourite celeste map, a lot of pure cool movement

Alright: here's the hour count guess... 68 hours and 15 minutes I gotta wonder how far through you are in actuality If it's been 35 days since the last strawberry jam episode, guessing you play on average 2 hours a day (ish?), that's 70 hours, but likely 50% of those hours are going into the other maps... I'm gonna guess your'e 35 hours in.. ooh what flag number would that translate to though. Also wow, rough experience on Superluminary!! Most people struggle with that one but seems like you had a particularly rough time, probably in part because it had been so long since you played the level.

I confess, I haven't been playing every day, but instead switching off between this and the other Celeste maps. I literally finished the Stellar Odyssey and World Abyss flags yesterday.

If you are experiencing lag in some screens, I would suggest to disable all other mods, and only enable SJ + its dependency mods, I think that would improve the gaming quality.

GG first third!! My guess is 10000 hours multiplied by the dimensionless fine structure constant 😊

I'm not planning on it, I dabbled about a year ago, but I'm focusing my creative energies in other places for the foreseeable future.

Yes it's by far the hardest map you'll have done but you can do it! Eventually. Pumber + solar without berries combined is easily worth 1 star hard list. Bino anywhere button is just in speedrun tool, so you mostly like, have it already. And a music change to end the first third 1/3 :) GMHS is just a really cool and really intimidating experience. Won't say more than that.
