If you want a sci-fi recommendation, "Project Hail Mary" by Andy Weir may be a great pick! I absolutely adored it and it was my first sci-fi book. It became one of my all time favourites ❤

your cat reminds me sm of mine haha -- they're both menaces, it seems 😂 also i think six of crows could count as a book with a technological plot point (⚠SPOILERS FOR SIX OF CROWS⚠) -- it's a heist to capture the man who invented jurda parem, which i suppose could be considered a grisha-power-enhancing technology? idk
