Like he said, Hinduism is all encompassing. Whether you an an atheist of an Advait (non-Dual) you are all Hindus. Therefore in Hinduism they do not convert. There is nothing to convert to. The minute you are born anywhere in the world, you are already a Hindu. You are great the way you are. This is Sanathan Dharma, this is Hindu.

In Hinduism we don't convert, but we do teach people. The teaching of the sages is what made people know the Dharma. Many times these western Hindu experts tell us that "Hindus do not convert people". This actually is to keep of pacified because they know that once the dharmic people start teaching in mass numbers there is no way that they can with stand the logical conclusion of the human mind. So they always talk about many deities in the Dharma to befuddle and confuse people. However they themselves do not understand the basic principles of oneness of god and that there is the central doctrine in the Hindu Dharma - it is that of Dharma - that all things must adhere to righteousness. Other things such as our technology of using deities is complicated for the western mind to grasp. But for a person who accepts and lives in the Dharma it is obvious.

@@paulinetaylor2810 "Hinduism", to begin with, is NOT the correct name to describe what it is. It was a name given by the invaders of this land who addressed all living beyond the river "Sindhu" in the west as "Sindhu people", which later got distorted to the word Hindu. Later on all people of this region were identified as "Hindu" by the Britishers for their own convenience and then the name stuck. The correct name is "Sanatan Dharm" - the eternal principles. (The principles that are applicable forever in Nature). The "Brahman" that is being talked about here is the "all encompassing energy" that is present in all beings. Beyond that, let me simplify my answer about the confusion you have in your mind about the "braham, kali, vishnu and thus diety with 8 legs", etc. Honestly, I don't recall any deity with 8 legs, but we do have deities with multiple arms. What if you looked at all the "gods" and the "statues" that we worship as representation of the "principles / dharm" that the "Sanatan Dharm" talks about originally. So, these statues of different types of gods are just the "representation of the traits" that each individual needs to acquire. "Ganesha", the god with Elephant head represents multiple traits and basically seen as a god who removes all kinds of ill or negativity. "Maa Durga (Mother Durga) is also know as "Shakti" (energy), who at times is seen with multiple hands representing "multi tasking" like a mother and can also take care of all the evil around us. So are there other gods who represent different traits. Stories created around them are to teach the mere mortals within us to learn from example. It is often say that there are "33 Crore" (three hundred thirty million) gods and goddesses present in Hindu religion, which is NOT true. It is again a confusion which has been created by the western translators who just could not understand the meaning of the Sanskrit word "Koti". There are two meanings of this word "Koti" - 1: "Prakaar" or types and 2. "Crore" or 10 million. The semi-educated translated the word according to his convenience and called it 33 Crore gods and goddesses, where as there are 33 TYPES or categories of gods and goddesses, who have been given a place according to the jobs they have been assigned to. See it as a corporate hierarchy... from President to an Executive and so on. So, please don't get confused. The different gods are there to focus on their traits and pray to them according to the specific requirements you have. Once you have acquired those traits and have made them a part of your being, you can let them fade away (it's called "visarjan") and move on to another god to upskill yourself. The system is very clean and simple. It has only been complicated by those who refuse to see the simplicity of the system and just complicate it. After all, the complication is easier to sell. There is so much more I can tell you, but prefer to stop here. But finally, even you can be accepted as a god in Sanatan, if you possess certain traits worth learning. Then you will initially acquire the role of a "Guru or Guide" (Coach in modern terms) and you will be valued even more than the Gods that we pray to. That is the beauty of this path, Sanatan Dharm. It is NOT a religion as per the definitions of the western world.

I am familiar with the more atheistic interpretations of Buddhism (non-Indian, though) and with Bhuddism in general but not so with the currents inside Hinduism proper. I learned about these Carvaka that I didn't knew before... but to be honest I am not specially surprised that they developed such an advanced philosophy so early (relatively) knowing that Asian civilizations go so far back in time. It's humbling as an European.

Interesting topic. My understanding is, in India people worship Siddhas/Thirthankaras/Buddhas (those who believed to have attained Nirvana- no rebirth) or their ancestors from their own caste or other caste. Jains worship Neminatha who is a cousin brother of Krishna. Krishna was a blackman ( a negro, all dark people in India are African descendents). They don't worship Krishna simply because as per them he has not attained Nirvana. People should know that there are 10 different versions of Mahabharata, Ramayana by different authors. Though Jain/Buddhist Ramayana looks similar it is different from Valmiki Ramayana. In Jain/Buddhist Ramayana, Sita is a younger sister to Rama and both got married. In those days this practice was common. As per Jains, Krishna was a king having 10 official wives and each having 10 children. Apart from that war widows (with/without children) were also made as Krishna's partners. Krishna's daughter was married to a Pandya King in Madurai. Idol worship was started by Buddhists/Jains. I don't think one can give a name Hinduism to any sect of people in India. One thousand years back, every Indian was either a Buddhist or Jain. The demiGods of Buddhism/Jainism/Aaseevagam or Siddha Seelas are today's popular deities in India and they are called Hindu Gods. I would like quote some of the popular South Indian Gods. Bhagwan Neminatha is worshiped as Perumal, Balaji in Tirupathi. Neminatha's other names are Balaguru, Balarishi, Balaji, Balasubramaniam...etc. These names sometimes confused with Skanda or Muruga. Manimekalai, a buddhist nun is worshiped as KamakshiAmman in Kanjeepuram. Taradevi, lotus goddess of buddhism today is Thiroupathy Amman in many villages. Every Buddha statue under pupil tree of all villages was replaced with Vinayaka (elephant faced son of Shiva)idol . The interesting thing is Vinayaka was one of the names of Buddha. The original deities of Tiruvannamalai are Lord Neminatha and Rajimati i.e. Annamalaiyar and UnnamulaiAmman (a virgin). They are not Sivan-Parvathi or Shivashakthi. In fact, no temple in India is dedicated to Shiva and Parvati; what I mean here they are not seen together as an Idol. Only in colourful Sivakasi Calenders, we see them together. Murugan is again a Siddha known as Skanda, a BodhiSathva in Buddhism. The most popular deity Dakshinamurthy or Gurubagawan is none other than Avalokitan (Avalokitiswara, Loknath, Lokeswara) who is a Bodhisatva. Skanda and Avalokitiswara’s abode is Pothigai hills in Tirunelveli dist. Avalokita worship started in Pothigai and now it is all over the world especially in Burma, Indonesia, China, Laos, Cambodia, Thai, Japan …etc. Sabarimalai Ayyappan is a gain a BodhiSatva. Ayyanar, Saathan, Saakyamuni, Muniyandi are some of the other names of Buddha. All Buddhist manuscripts were originally written in Tamil, Pali and Sanskrit at Kanjeepuram. Most of the early Jain texts were in Tamil and Kannada. Truly speaking, these 2 languages were the gifts of Buddhists and Jains to India. Now only these languages exist but the religions are systematically buried in India by so called Hindu Champions. When we look at the table of 18 Siddhas, 24 thirthankaras, 27 buddhas we definitely see common figures with different names. People play around these with different stories. Shaving heads/ ear piercing is Buddhist practice. A Buddhist/Jain/Aaseevagam pilgrim today is a hindu pilgrim. I have so much to write…but not everything at a time.

Sundar vedanth Just to let you know, I stopped reading your comment the moment you said "Krishna was a black man". It is not only misleading for people that aren't aware about what real Hinduism is, but it isn't even true in ANY sense. Krishna is simply another avatar of Lord Vishnu, who is one of the trimurti which is similar to the christian Trinity except in this sense it has three Gods Vishnu, Brahma and Shiva.

Dr Nick Sutton, what a wonderful rendition and explanation. One of the major issues with Sanatana Dharma is that it is so overwhelming, that if one is interested in studying it, it's vastness could be quite intimidating. I find that many people decide not to pursue understanding/studying the Sanatana Dharma simply because they find it as an endless goal. One of the reasons why the emphasis on guru is stressed upon so that a student can structure his/her curiosity, learning and understanding. Guess KZread is my guru.

Yeah, well, words are not important! "Hinduism" is used here for an audience for a perspective. Majority of people call themselves Hindus, therefore that works too. Just like one can say, "It's not India it's Bharatbarsh", or "it's not Brahman, it's sat-chit-ananda".. these are just words.. pointing to the same thing. I think it doesn't matter, what matters is the vast knowledge this professor has about Sanatan Dharma.. that is very rare, and he certainly mastered in spreading his knowledge in an efficient manner.

Vedic tradition (3000bc) is preceded by another tradition, called Pouranic of which the most authoritative (although repeatedly revised) is Vishnu Puran, centered around a public worship in a public temple of anthropomorphic god Vishnu, of the Yadav people (centered around Dwaraka, created by Krishna) compared to domestic worship of material god Agni of the Harappans. Recently a date of 9500 bc for Dwaraka, requires a revision of what Hinduism might stand for. However your exploration of Hinduism and Hindu theology was extremely interesting and quite accurate. In general I believe Hinduism is just about the only religion that evolves in spite of a lots of inherent rigidity.

And meanwhile down below your loved ones might be suffering/starving/jobless/homeless/sick - you don't care? So God is rewarding soulless uncaring cowards? And all this creation - this earth, this life - was all a mistake? But those who don't think so, the Warriors who take on this pain & suffering, those who choose Reincarnation - what does God think of them? Brilliant speaker. Very Engaging. Was not aware of some of these ideologies and the thin lines of differences between different beliefs.Towards plurality of beliefs, there is a very interesting concept of anekantavaad in jainism, which likens men's attempt to understand god and universe, to the tale of twelve blind men and the elephant, where each sees a different part of the truth. Each believes the elephant to be trunk, legs, teeth. No one is wrong and yet no one is complete in his truth. The concept of plurality would then have to form the basis for seeking truth.

According to general Hindu philosophy, all forms lead to god. Whether it is Jesus or Hindu devas or other idols or Black stone of mecca or people who care for others or plants (Tulsi plant) or weapons or machines or even a cab which helps in feeding a whole family. It doesn't matter. Hinduism's Atman applicable to both living and non living things. West's soul is only applicable to humans In simple words for average minds - Why do we have many gods? It will make sense only if we back it up with Hindu/vedic philosophies. We can apply both Advaita and Dwaita philosophies to explain why Hindus have many gods. Explanation based on Advaita philosophy We have to take consciousness in to account which the west has no clue about. In other words, matter is divine for Hindus. So it doesn't matter whether it is jesus or Prophet muhammad or krishna or some guy selling sandwiches on the road side. or a cab or machine or a weapon. All matter or forms lead to god since both living beings and non living things made up of matter have divinity in them. If you look at gods of Hindus, we have an idol for wealth, idol for education and other millions of idols. All these stone idols also have consciousness or divinity in them Advaita Philosophy in detail. Though there are many mahAvAkya-s in the Upanishads the following four are considered to be the prominent ones. They are: praj~nAnaM brahma (Consciousness is Brahman) in the Aitareya Upanishad of the Rig-Veda, aham brahmAsmi (I am Brahman) in the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad of the Yajur-Veda, tat tvam asi (That thou art) in the Chandogya Upanishad of the Sama Veda and ayam Atma brahma (this Atman is Brahman) in the Mandukya Upanishad of the Atharva Veda. The first statement, Consciousness is Brahman, explains the true nature of Brahman. The second statement is the self assessment from the seeker when he/she recognizes his/her true divine nature. In the third statement, the realized teacher informs (asserts) - "You are that Supreme Brahman." The last is the statement of practice or formula for the seeker to discover the Oneness of Atman and the Brahman. Modern scientists scratch their heads about quantum physics - Double slit experiment.( validates Advaita Philosophy) which says from Rig veda (5000 BC) that all that you see does not exist. In other words energy and matter are interconvertible. In other words E = MC^2. It does not make sense to them since they don't have any exposure to consciousness philosophy. This is because west never had any credible philosophy let alone high philosophies of Hinduism like Advaita and Dvaita. It is also the reason why west did not discover or invent anything until the discovery of Hindu/vedic philosophy in Indian civilization in the 18th century. Whatever science (from 0 to calculus) already discovered by the fractal mind of brilliant Hindu mathematicians, astronomers, metallurgists, surgeons, Therapeutists, philosophers were quickly stolen and patented under western names. Albert Einstein honestly acknowledged that through his quote " When I read Baghavath Gita (Hindu vedic text) and reflect about how God created this universe, everything else seems superfluous (Un-necessary). I've made the vedas as the main source of information and guide for the purpose for the scientific investigations and formation of my theories" There are two paths in Hinduism. One is the Advaita ( non-dual ) and the other is Dwaita ( dual ) philosophy of Sanatana Dharma. The Advaita looks at God as BrahmAn, the intelligent morphogenetic consciousness field -- the akasha ,the space between the electrons in an atom. "Self is Brahman and Brahman is all" The Dwaita form looks at God as the trinity of creator Brahma , preserver Vishnu and destroyer Shiva also known as Tamas (destruction) -Rajas (maintenance) -Satwa (creation). The modern world knows this as Yin-Yang . REFER AJITH VADAKAYIL BLOG for more information

Nonsense. Hindus are asked to obey the dictates of Dharma as interpreted by a just mind. FYI Dharma means Justice, not religion. Sanskrit doesn't even have a word for religion; no one believed in discriminating among faiths when it was created! What part of Islam & Christianity are 'Dharmic'- the genocides? The misogyny? The murders & rapes? Their 'god' behaving a spoilt megalomaniac kid whenever people ignore him? Demons in Hinduism behave better than the Judeo-Christian Islamic god!! You want to know what Krishna told Arjuna? To slay evil cults, cruel persons & creatures & uphold Dharma. By rights, we should be trying to wipe out Abhramic faiths from the face of Mother Earth.

rationalindian11 We have to look at true history to understand and connect the dots'. For thousands of years whole world was following Hindu/vedic culture until judaism/Christianity and Islam took over by force. Irony is both Judaism and Islam started by people (disgraced) from Kerala living in Jerusalem and Mecca. Of course Jesus christ was a Jew who studied medication, philosophy, science in India. Ancestors of Jesus CHRIST originated in India (Kerala). Six pointed star on israeli flag can be seen in ancient temples (Hindu) across kerala. - REFER MORE on this to Ajith Vadakayil blog for more reality checks. Prophet muhammad was born in a namboodiri brahmin family living in mecca. We also know that Islam's 786 is nothing but OM symbol which denotes the Devanagiri numbers 786. Islam's formless god (Allah) is a rip off from Hinduism's Advaita philosophy which talks about formless god (it also talks about consciousness in every living matter including stones, plants, trees and humans) Don't forget that Hinduism is 120 centuries old, Christianity is just 20 centuries old and Islam is also just 13 centuries old.

Angel, do not debate issues if you are offended by people who disagree with you. "Ignorant and arrogant" is a conclusion never a fact. An argument in debate is not the same thing as anger. What did Arjuna say to the disguised Krishna? Certainly not, "You are arrogant." Help me find a religion better than this maxim: "Greater love has no one than this than to lay down his life for friends" That said by someone who loved the world. I do confess ignorance about the Vedas. I do confess to being arrogant about the ignorant rapist who pleads dhamra, Karma, or she deserved it. We can disagree, but dying to save a Hindu, a Jew an atheist is just who I am and ought to be. Good debate at a tea house will not spill the drink.

Dana Roberts The problem is that you are not neutral while commenting about Hinduism. You are trying hard to put a bad name for Hinduism. But anyway, let me answer your questions. In Hinduism, we are not forced to follow any text. We are just presented with some texts and it's left to a person mental ability to choose what's correct and what's incorrect. You can choose the good part of Hinduism and let go the bad part. Since Hinduism is so hard to understand most people who do bad are not influenced by Hinduism. They are just blindly following the old traditions. If you ask these people from where they learned about caste system, they will tell you that it's a tradition. They don't even know from where it all started. This tradition of caste and discrimination emerged from a book called 'Manusmriti'. Manusmriti is not a religious book. Long time ago a Huge flood hit the land near India river (the people who used to live near Indus river were later called Hindus). Almost everything was destroyed in that flood. Only few people were able to survive that flood. One of the guy who survived that flood wrote this very ancient book called Manusmriti (actually he didn't write it himself but somebody else wrote his teaching a decade later). The book is about survival. He opened up and wrote objectionable contents, for instance the book suggested to stay away from those who can spread epidemics like the people who do those work which involve dirt, dust or mud etc, like shoemaker and servants who clean floor. Also the book divided people based on skills to easily identify a person with his caste. Also the book wrote some objectionable content about women with an intention to increase population and get healthy child. But people misinterpreted it and started thinking that a shoemaker can never keep a good hygiene and they always need to stay away from them. They went one step ahead and connected that thing with the person's caste and even if the son of shoemaker is in different profession then also he had to face discrimination because of his caste. So, my point is that it's not a flaw of Hinduism, but it's a flaw of Hindus who did injustice to low caste people by carrying that culture generation over generation that emerged from an evil book. I want to mention at this point that though 'Manusmriti' was an evil book it wasn't written with an evil intention. It was written with an intention to create a new society as fast as possible after they were hit by a disaster. Hinduism treat each and every person equally and not just human but in Hinduism animals, plants, trees, forest, mountain, river, air, sun, water, fire and earth are treated equally. For our living,we need to kill plants and animals but in Hinduism, it's god who will eventually decide what punishment we'll get for killing those innocent plants and animals. Maybe god can forgive us thinking that it was a necessary step for us to stay alive or maybe he will give us some punishment. That's the reason some people in Hinduism decide to stay vegetarian because they believe that plants can regenerate themselves (like fruits and vegetables) and some plants are only consumed after there life is over (eg. rice and wheat) and so they are doing a minimum sin. So the point is that Hinduism is a liberal religion. We are not forced. We can follow anything we like but at the end our work is calculated not the book or idol we worshiped. Now, if you have problems with Hinduism, you are free to stay happy with other religions. Also, the caste discrimination is rapidly disappearing from the Hindu society and since a huge reservation in job and education is given to low caste people, you can find hundreds of high caste people who want to be low caste to get that reservation for a better life. So now, the situation has changed. In most part of India, low caste people enjoy a better life than higher caste people.

You can worship him in any form, you can worship him as brother (Balram), as a lover (Mirabai), as a father, as a mother, and even as an enemy ( Hiranyakasipu). He has set an example the different types of relationships with different people. Jai Radhe Krishna !

After a long time, I found a video which tries to explain Hinduism in a sense that I myself have. Such a true understanding can come only when one either devotes time to study it for seeking The Truth (e.g. the speaker in this video) or lives it eternally every moment. This is why I am so much inseparable from this great ideology, I am so much fond of it, I am so much into it, a part of it... And that is why, I can find the Almighty in various ways, in many shapes, many forms, many places, in living as well as so called non-living objects....in fact, there is no boundary.... not confined to certain community-made beliefs, rituals, practices & paths, yet able to respect all and embrace those which my own conscience finds as part of the penultimate truth...... In the ocean of information (internet, books, gurus, lectures etc.) you chose which drops can satisfy your thirst for truth or if not anything then find drops of ocean water too salty to even try tasting ☺

tuki sam and if you talked about Vedas then in the Rig Veda 1.156.2: Vishnu is the most ancient of all, yet also the most recent. Nothing and no one creates Vishnu, yet Vishnu creates everyone and everything. Another very compelling Rg Veda text (1.22.20) making clear that it is Vishnu who empowers all the heavenly gods extolled and glorified in Veda: ओं तद् विष्णोः परमम् पदम् सदा पश्यन्ति सूरयः oṃ tad viṣṇoḥ paramam padam sadā paśyanti sūrayaḥ Vishnu occupies the paramount position. All other gods look always to his feet. This all thing define Vishnu as supreme Brahman but it is not easy to understand supreme form so that's why in bhagvad gita Lord Krishna talked about Bhakti-Yoga , arjuna saw supreme Lord in 11 chapter viswarupa , because he is devote and friend of Lord Krishna , if we will become pure devote of Lord Krishna then we can easily understand who is supreme Brahman which is very difficult to understand by the intelligence, because devotion service on Krishna is better than intelligence or Gyana Yoga , in the last chapter 18 .66 Lord Krishna said abandon all varieties of religious just surrender to me I will freed you from all sins, so, it's depend on Three materials modes (Satva-Rajas-Tamas) , everyone can't understand Lord Krishna as Supreme Brahman . F.Y.I. I don't want to force you to accept this it's up to you I am just show the facts and secrets which is in our Vedas , Smritis , Upanisad and shrutis. and there is no meaning debates on spirituality, best way just stick with your philosophy and beliefs , practicing it , one day you will find supreme Brahman !!!, have great spiritual life

Tuki Sam, it appears that you are speaking from the Advait perspective of the first official Jagadguru - Adi Shankaracharya. Shree Krishna sent Lord Shankar (Shiva) on to the earth as Shankaracharya to spread this advait philosophy, which is only one perspective of the full picture. This information is in the Padma-Puran. This was done only to re-establish the Vedas as the final authority of metaphysical knowledge - because Lord Buddha (also an incarnation of Vishnu), came to the earth and refuted the Vedas for the purpose of returning civilization back to non-violence. The Vedas were being twisted and manipulated and misinterpreted by priests and scholars for their greedy means to obtain power over others, and so Lord Buddha came to end this and cleanse the society of the wrongdoings. Then 500 years after that, Shiva in the form Shankaracharya came on the earth, mastered the scriptures by age 8, defeated all the Buddhist scholars in India by age 16, and Buddhism was no more in India. From age 16 and for the rest of his life age 32 he quit all preching of Advait and did nothing but devotion to Lord Krishna. He wrote Bhajo Govindam (the most famous song telling all to worship Krishna, and his final book was Prabhod Sudhakar, which only speaks of worshipping the Supreme Personified form of God. Then closely after Shankaracharya left the world, Jagadguru Nimarkacharya came to present more of the full picture and prove that Shankaracharya's perspective was not the full picture and by itself incomplete and thus flawed. Then after that came Jagadguru Ramanujacharya and Madhvacharya to further complete the true divine theory. Shree Krishna is the Supreme Divine Power and Personality, and a fraction of his power is Maha-Vishnu, and there are further other facets of Maha-Vishnu. There is also one Brahmaa, one Vishnu, and one Shankar (Shiva) in each of the uncountable planetary systems (brahmandas). The advaitins quote mostly the Brahm Sutras and the Vedant to establish their theory, and the latest revealer of all the scriptures including the Brahm Sutras and Vedant was Ved Vyas who again was a divine avatar of Shree Krishna who was seen on the planet at the same time Shree Krishna was. Ved Vyas himself wrote in his final revealed scripture and magnum-opus that the Shrimad Bhagwatam (also called the Bhagwat Mahapuran) is the culmination of all the divine scriptures, and the elucidation of the Vedant and Brahma Sutras. So one should study the Bhagwad Gita and the Shrimad Bhagwatam. Shankaracharya knew his entire theory would be exposed as flawed if he made any commentary on the Bhagwatam, which clearly, unequivocally state that Shree Krishna is the Supreme Divine Personality and power, so he purposefully did not make any attempt, even though he made commentaries on other texts where he could very cleverly juggle words to make his point. No disrespect to Shankaracharya, he was only following the instructions of Shree Krishna in a divine plan which is still being unfolded. There is of course only one Supreme Power, and that is Shree Krishna, yet he is has unlimited forms, names, qualities, and powers. Their are three main aspects of God - Brahman is the aspect of God that is without any form, actions, qualities, pastimes, or name. Beyond this is Paramatma, and beyond this is Bhagwaan. Most all of this information and much more of the divine theory of the Hindu scriptures is very well presented in the short book "Prema Rasa Siddhanta" by Jagadguru Kripaluji Maharaj, who is the the fifth original Jagadguru in sequence in the last 5000 years. That book I believe is available on amazon.com in a kindle edition.

+FloreREx here are all the answers you need, but before that you must understand this,What Is Hinduism and Secret of Vedas.:- Hinduism, the world's oldest known Dharma, it's is not like an organized religion like Christianity or Islam. It has no founder no Pope no hierarchy and even no Name. Hinduism is not a religion & it's actually called as Sanatan Dharma, Word "Sanatan" means Ancient, you will understand what is Dharma later here in this article. The word 'Religion' is not synonym for word Dharma, Religion is synonym for word 'Mazhab' which is an urdu language word, So Quran & Bible can be said Religious books or Mazhabi Kitab (books) but they cannot be said as Adhyatmik or Dharmik Books/Granth, The word Hindu is not mentioned anywhere in any Spiritual books of Sanatan Dharma, It was Persians who used to call Hindus to the people living across the the river Sindhu (Indus River), initially they called them Sindhu's & later it became Hindu's due to pronunciation issue with Persians, So according to this either it's people of India, Pakistan, Afghanistan or Bangladesh are all Hindu's irrespective of whatsoever religion they belong to, or they belongs either it's Christianity or Islam doesn't matter. Other Sections like Jainism, Sikhism & Buddhism are all branches of one Sanatan Dharma. Now to understand Hinduism it is first & foremost important to understand few terms used in Hinduism like:- Dharma (Duty), Bagwan (Physical manifestation of God), Jeevatma (we mostly use word 'Soul' but it's not correct), Atma (again we mostly use word 'Soul' but this is not correct too), Parmatma (Formless God, word 'God' is also not correct synonym for this), Devta (Male Deity), Devi (Female Deity), Adhyatma (we mostly use word 'Spirituality' which is not correct at all), and Ahenkaar (Ego, again not a correct synonym to describe this). You may be thinking why i am telling you what is not correct, why not telling you what is correct? Well this you will understand later in this article:- All these terms are all Sanskrit words which actually has no translating words in any of the other languages in the world, so here i will still try to use best suited words which could make you to grasp the actual meaning of these words as much as possible. Adhyatma: is an ultimate science which deals with the study of Atma & Parmatma, many people use word Spirituality as a Synonym for Adhyatma which is not right actually, we have few words like Dharma, Adhyatma, Ahenkaar, Manushya etc etc for which we sometimes have to use some English words who have meanings quit or almost near to these Sanskrit words to make people understand their meanings to some extent. Atma & Parmatma: both are same things according to Vedanta but still at many places in vedas or upanishads Atma is also called Soul, Parmatma is the supreme being, to clearly understand the relation between atma & parmatma assume a bucket filled with water in which you are able to view the shadow of night moon, now that bucket is a body & shadow of moon visible inside is an Atma of that body and the Real moon which is visible outside in the sky is like Paramatma. Here, you must be thinking if Parmatma is the supreme being then what is God in Hinduism?? Here it's very important to understand the difference between Parmatma & God..!!! Plz read this link: facebook.com/WhatIsMyDharama/posts/807663089324508:0 Parmatma according to vedas is actually Param Tatva i.e Super Element or Ultimate Element, here Tatva is again Sanskrit words which means an Element. you will later understand what it is in this article. Word Tatva ( तत्व) is the word of Vedic Sanskrit and can have more than one meanings at different places in vedic verses for example "Panch Tatva" which means 5 Elements like Water, Fire, Space, Earth and Air. *Note: Atma and Parmatma both are one and same with NO difference at all. understand it like this , Supose there is a 72x72 inch screen in front of you, and somebody has put a big black board in front of that with same size to cover the entire screen, and now you are not able to see that screen at all, now i am making a small hole in that black board , and now what you will be able to see is a tiniest part of the screen hidden behind, now understand that big screen hidden behind that black board as Paramatma and the tiniest view which you could see through that hole as Atma, the difference is in perception only else both are same, infact there is no Atma at all , i.e when the black board is removed you will realize there was nothing like Atma, it was always the view of Parmatna, We say Atma\God\Bagwan\Deity etc etc only when we see through the perspective of Creation.. :D :) . As Creation becomes Virtual i.e non-existent all these related terms also disappear and what is left is only Parmatma. Jeevatma : you can assume it like a small body (of size near 2-4cm) inside physical body or you can say it's a bundle of 5 Senses, Intelligence, Sanskars, Karma's, Atma, 7 chakras (7 Shocker Points - see youtube on this), Prarabdah (something like fortune or which makes or decides future events for every being, it gets created by Karma i.e deeds which person does) and 5 kosha's (you can assume kosha's like three sections or layers inside earth like Core, Crust & Mental, similarly there are 5 kosha's in every living being, 1st is Annamaya Kosh, 2nd Pranamaya Kosh, 3rd Manonaya Kosh , 4th Vigyanmaya Kosh, 5th Aanandmaya Kosh). Ahankaar: It's the belief inside every human mind that "I am a human being or a structural body or a mind or intelligence" or in short "I am anything else but not Atma or Soul", due to Ahankaar person believes all the Karma's i.e deeds which is done either by his mind, intelligence or body is actually done by him. It is this Ahankaar which is the barrier between every human being and his Salivation or Nirvana. Root or reason of Ahankaar is agyan (Non-cognizance or Ignorance or Paucity of knowledge or lack of knowledge), So the person who has Ahankar is also called Agyani i.e One who is not learned, and person who has learned is called Gyani. Dharma: As we know Hinduism has no name & followers of this Dharma calls it Sanatan Dharma, word "Sanatan" means Ancient or oldest and the word "Dharma" means the duties i.e for example duty of a person being a human being, being father, mother, brother, soldier, doctor, minister or a duty being a citizen of a nation, Social duties or duty which lord Krishna taught to Arjuna when he refused to fight in Mahabharta. Which means any person who is fulfilling his duties in this world belongs to Sanatan Dharma irrespective of his beliefs i.e either he believes in hindu God or some other religion or God. There can be many duties of a person for Eg:- duty of self-protection, humanity (manav dharma), duty being a son or daughter or brother or sister, duty being a citizen, duty towards society, duty towards person's own family etc etc. Here we must also understand that word "duty" is not enough or fully capable to explain vast and indepth meaning of word Dharma. Dharma is personal for every individual & that individual is free to decide for himself & choose among his duties at any point of time. The only thing which is mandatory is whatever dharma you chose you must chose on the basis of Manav Dharma i.e Humanity & Ahinsa Parmodharma (Non Voilence, which is considered as biggest Dharma in Hinduism which everyone must follow). Remember religions are invented but dharma is not invented, Dharma is the fundamental principle working behind this universe or you can say deepest laws of universe that governs the universe, even all atomic and subatomic particles are preset to follow their dharma's (at the time of creation) which makeup's their behavior, if any single particle in this entire universe even deviates just 0.1% of it's Dharma just for a 1 millionth of second it's behavior will be replicated to all the other particles in entire universe and everything will get fragmented or finished within that second. Dharma is eternal it begins with creation and ends with the creation. Dharma is a fundamental principle that works behind every existence from bottom (extreme below quantum level) to top (celestial or universal) levels of this entire creation. Dharma is the law that defines the behavior of everything, either it's electron, neutron, proton, graviton anything , if you change the law for one electron or up-quark the same law will get applied to all other similar particle, which will case change of behavior in them towards others and others towards them..... :) *Note: Word "Sanatan Dharma" is not name like we say "Hinduism" or "Islam", and it's also nowhere mentioned anywhere in Vedas or other books. Now, as i can hope that you many have understood the basic terms used in Sanatan Dharma, I think i can now safely proceed towards explaining the core beliefs of Sanatan Dharma. As Hinduism is not a religion it's Dharma, there is no process or way available or mentioned anywhere in any Spiritual books to get converted to Sanatan Dharma. All human beings on this earth naturally belongs to Sanatan Dharma by birth & remains under the laws of Sanatan Dharm even after death till they get Salivation or become Self-Realized, whether any person believes in Hinduism, Paramatma, Bagwan's, Deities or not, whether any person go to the Hindu temple or not, whether any person gets cremated after death or is buried, whether person believes in some other religion doesn't matter in any way. It's not possible to convert Dharma, like it's not possible to convert duties of mother to duties of father, it can be possible that mother can also give love & affection to her child on behalf of child's father, but doing that also, she is fulfilling the Dharma of a Mother. Also in Sanatan Dharma there is neither any condition like if you didn't accepted to become Hindu you will be burned in hellfire or will get punished, In Sanatan Dharma, Paramatma i.e God does not put any kind of any restrictions or put force on individual to believe Him or worship Him, a Hindu i.e a follower of Sanatan Dharma can live his entire life without worshiping Paramatma and can still go to heaven & also can become eligible for getting equal love, respect & benefits in heaven or any other Galaxies wherever person will be taken after death. But yes there is an eligibility for heaven (also called Swargloka in Sanskrit), the eligibility is the person must have honestly given his best to fulfill his/her duties(Dharma), How much person succeeded or failed in fulfilling his duties does not matter, what matters is how much person remained honest & served to society, nation, humanity, his family, friends, needy. It's only the deeds & intentions behind those deeds what matters not individuals beliefs. Any person in this world even a person like Osama-bin-laden if has done any single thing good for humanity can go to heaven. there is another side of this i.e the person who goes to heaven or hell does not stay there as permanent, the time depends on the quantity of good deeds person has done on earth (also called Karma Bhumi i.e land of deeds). Time function in those Galaxies can be understood with this example that near 10 years on earth is equal to 1 day on heaven, for some galaxies it's 100 earth years = 1 day, and person who goes to heaven stays there for many years even for few good deeds done on earth, same is also true in case of Hell. After finishing their time in those Galaxies those souls are again sent on earth for rebirth, Same process continues again and again and again...endlessly till the person gets Self Realized or Moksha, you will understand this later here in this article. Relation between Religion and Dharma: Word "Dharma" is a Sanskrit word which has no similar word in any other languages present in any language in this world, So it's meaning must not be misunderstood as Religion. Religion is man-made invention & can get created after any human being who claims to be a messenger or prophet of God, Religion can give commands & put conditions for religious conversion for going to heaven. For example Quran gives commands like "Do Jihaad" and if you are a true follower you have to execute that command, Quran commands drinkers and gamblers should be whipped, If married women found sleeping with other men must be stoned to death etc etc , these are commands that are compulsory for a follower to execute. on the contrary this Dharma only suggests not force, and allows person to use you’re his/her own intelligence own thought process to decide in what circumstances how a person should do his duties. it doesn't scare you any Hell fire. Dharma leaves on you to decide what is best for you and the entire humanity and leaves you independent to choose your Dharma at any particular time or circumstances. What is Adhyatma i.e Sprituality? Adhyatma gives you the answer of all the fundamental questions of universe. Adhyatma helps you to understand What & Who are you! , It helps you to know & understand that you are not mind or body or made up of any blood, bones & muscles i.e in short you are not creation or even a part of creation. It's Adhyatma which helps you to understand this world is nothing more than a dream and you are the only viewer present here who is viewing this dream and is also present everywhere in different forms, In Short Adhyatma is an ultimate science which deals with the study of Super Element i.e Param Tatva or Parmatma. That also means Vedas are not any spiritual books but book of pure and ultimate transcendental science. In Rigveda it has mentioned in [Rigveda 1.164.46] "ekam sat vipraa bahudhaa vadanti agnim yamam matariswanam" It's actually HE who manifested here in different forms (present in this universe), i.e everything either it's human beings, animals, birds, non living things anything either visible or invisible is a physical manifestation of that one Param Tatva i.e Parmatma (God). Whatever materialistic world you are experiencing is actually made up of virtual particles thus is virtual & does not exists at all, To explain you scientifically, you know that there are so many particles and antiparticles which together makeup this universe , none of them are solid (Generally we use this term when we consider elements) , initially physicists used to believe that all particles or atoms are solid but later this was revealed that neither atoms nor any sub-atomic particles are solid i.e they appear to be solid but were not, So that mean EVERYTHING which we thought was real suddenly became VIRTUAL because everything was made of those virtual particles, that means all matter, compound, elements all are virtual and thus actually in reality does not exist at all, That also means our human bodies which are also made up of those virtual particles are also virtual and thus does not exist in reality. Vedas & Upanishads in Hinduism mentions this virtual reality as MAYA (MA => Something which appears as solid, dense & real, YA=> but is not) , this secret revelation by Vedas were which was initially rejected & not believed in 18th century by western physicists was later accepted with great shock & since then they started carrying deep analysis & researches on these Vedic literature's in Sanatan Dharma. *Note: Virtual Particle in my article means the Virtuality of being Massive & attaining structure by any particle or atom, thus giving illusion of real fundamental solid entity... or in other words all appearing particles are actually result of vibrations, i.e if you stop the vibrations all the particles will disappear into from where they came .i.e in Super Element . this is MAYA...the vedic concept :D :). How many Gods are in Sanatan Dharma? There is only one Parmatma (God) who is formless and has no structure present which can appear like Him due to His Infityness which makes Him Shapeless (without any edges and dimensions), and it's the Parmatma who has appeared in all the forms here in this universe, Everything we see or experience in this materialistic world is nothing but the physical manifestations of that one Param Tatva (Super Element i.e God), When Vedas say Parmatma you must understand who is Parmatma according to Vedas, According to Chandogya Upanishad it's Parmatma from whom all the vibrating sub-atomic (Anu-Parmanu) particles are getting self created, It's He who is present in the base or root of all virtual particles present either at quantum level or even below quantum level in universe, Vedas call it TATVA (the Element) or Param-Tatva (the Super Element) or Parmatma (God), So It's actually this Tatva (Element) which is present here in all the forms we see or feel in this universe. Except this Tatva everything which we feel or experience in this materialistic universe whether it's humans, animals, birds, woods, water, air, light, gravity, space or this entire universe is Virtual thus does not exist in reality, this is the concept of Maya in Vedanta (Upanishads),Word Maya means "Something which appears to be solid & real But Is Not!!". Vedas also call this Element as OM because according to Vedas OM is the sound vibrations of this Tatva (i.e Paramatma) & OM is the sound of this universe i.e creation, This entire universe is the result of sound vibrations of OMM.. , You can deeply understand it by studying the science of Cymatics. Vedas also call Him, Braman which is like a characteristic name of this Element because it's collectively infinitely big, due to this property He is Omnipresent also. So now you know Hindus in real actually believe in one God and this one God is completely different and scientific if as compared to any God mentioned in any other holy books like Quran or Bible etc. Now you must be thinking then why Hindus have so many Deities like Deity of fire, water, air etc etc or Why Hindu's worship Bagwan's like lord Shiva & Vishnu if they have only one formless God? To understand this you must understand few terms here, The Bagwan is Self-Realized physical form or Self-Realized physical manifestation of Parmatma, The only difference is the word Parmatma is used for formless infinite & omnipresent God and word Bagwan is used for it's Self-Realized physical manifestation who is not infinite not omnipresent and has a form. So Does that also means every human being is also God? Answer is Yes It's True and Hindu's know this fact, You may be thinking then why don't Hindu's start worshiping every human being because everyone is God?? The only difference between any human being and Bagwan is that Human being are not Self-Realized i.e they don't know that they are God the Creator, they have Ahenkaar which makes them to think they are humans who has a physical body with several limitations & who tooks birth and dies. On the other hand Bagwan is Self-Realized entity due to which He has direct access to all His powers, which make Him omnipotent & Omniscient and has complete control over Creation, Preservation & Destruction of this universe. Other deities have also got some spiritual powers given to them by lord Bramha at the time of their birth or many of them have attained powers by penance. There are near 33 crore Deities created by lord Bhrama who lives in different Galaxies like Devloka, Gandharvaloka, Gauloka, Swargloka etc etc, the Galaxy in which we live is called Prithviloka. So we can assume these deities as Aliens with some super natural powers. Job of these deities is to manage all the elements (Not Super Element, talking here about elements made of of atoms i.e virtual elements) present in this universe. All deities reports to the deity Indra, who is like manager of all the deities, Indra himself reports to lord Bramha. All their jobs are conducted at microscopic levels in this universe, thus it's hard to observe for a normal person with no scientific knowledge. So we can say Creation & Parmatma both are one and thus in reality noting is actually created nothing is being preserved and nothing gets destroyed, whatever we experience as creation here is nothing but Parmatma itself. So in short Universe and all of us are reflecting the illusion of reality, and so nothing exists in reality except Parmatma here. You can also understand this by assuming this universe as a dream which is created by your Sub-Conscious mind & in which you present in many forms and whatever you experience in your dream appears to you as real, but when you get awakened or you become enlightened i.e you Realize your real identity then you understand that there was nothing but only you present everywhere in all different forms. It was you who was behaving like a thief, it was you who was behaving like a police man, it was you who was coming Sin and it was you who was who was giving punishments. After reaching to ultimate state of mind or consciousness you fell your mind free from any kind of anger, lust, greed, attachments and Ahenkaar. You mind reaches to the level of ultimate peace, after reaching this state there is nothing left for person to achieve or to know, He himself becomes the knower of everything and gains all His powers. In short that Self-Realized person become God or Paramatma or Bagwan or Everything. To Learn more on what is difference between Paramatma and Bagwan/God, see this Link facebook.com/ReturningToHinduism/posts/532569100215105:0 Now you may be thinking how can one become Self-Realized or attain Moksha (Nirvana)? Well Swami Vishnu-devananda said "The truth is one but the paths are many". To better understand the concept you can picture a mountain with a summit. The peak of the mountain represents the spiritual goal, moksha. Now imagine there are four people standing on each side of the mountain. To reach the summit, the same destination, each person has to walk a different direction. Likewise, each of us symbolically stands at a different space, spiritually speaking, according to our temperament and personality, so each of us needs to take a customized path to the top. From the explanation above, it is easily understood that, truly, there are as many paths as there are people. Practically though, there are a few hundreds of yogas, or practices which are categorized into the four main paths. These paths are: 1) Gyana Yoga The path of wisdom and knowledge. The Gyani uses his will and power of discrimination to cut through the veil of ignorance and attain the truth. For the Gyani, the goal is absolute Truth. Gyana Yoga appeals to the philosophical and intellectual temperament. 2) Bhakti Yoga The path of love and devotion. The bhakta uses the combined energies of all emotions and transmutes them, sublimates them into the highest of all emotions. Prem (love) is pure, conditionless & divine . For the bhakta (devotee), the goal is pure love. It includes the external and symbolic worship of the Bagwan using His murti (Satue), other practices such as pilgrimage and the sophisticated processes of inner development. Bhakti Yoga appeals to the emotional temperament. 3) Raja Yoga The path of self control and self mastery. The raja yogi controls his mind until it becomes perfectly still at which time there is no more wall between himself and his own divine nature. The main practice in Raja Yoga is meditation. For the raja yogi, the goal is perfect mind control. Raja Yoga appeals to the mystical and scientific temperament. Among the additional hundred yoga's out there, two more stand out as particularly important: a) Kundalini Yoga Derived from the tantric tradition this yoga aims at purifying the physical and psychic systems, and then awakening the cosmic power residing in the muladhara chakra (1st Shocker point) at the base of the spine. Upon awakening and raising of this spiritual power it unites with the consciousness center in the crown of the head and thereby grants liberation to the spiritual aspirant and practitioner of Kundalini Yoga . b) Hatha Yoga Sometimes called the physical aspect of yoga it works mostly on the psychic level. Besides its innumerable medical benefits, hatha yoga is essential support to both raja yoga and kundalini yoga. 4) Karma Yoga The path of selfless service. For the karma yogi, the main problem is our inherent selfishness which is based on spiritual ignorance, lack of knowledge. The key is to practice selfless actions without any selfish expectations, and thereby opening one's heart and seeing God in all beings. For the karma yogi, the goal is complete selflessness. Karma Yoga appeals to the active temperament. Is There any Castesm In Sanatan Dharma (Hinduism): Many people have misconception about Sanatan Dharma that it has provision for Castism which is not right. there is no castism in Sanatan Dharma, There is provision for Varna's (class) in which people were classified into four classes with relation to their aptitude and vocation. Four orders of society were recognized based upon the four duties of human beings and established society accordingly. It's completely upto person what varna he/she wants to choose and live life according to that, Varna has two meanings, first it means "Color" and second it means a "Veil", As color it does not refer to the color of the skin of people, but to the qualities or energies of human nature. As a veil or class it shows the four different ways in which the Divine Self is hidden in human beings. Varna is not made to discriminate but to assimilate in a way to support the organized behavior of society or country by assigning social/cultural/individual duties i.e Dharma accordingly. In ancient India, these divisions were not based on birth but based on Qualifications & Skills or you can say Varna of any person depends on what skills & qualities person has & the way he contributes to society for his own living. There are four Varna's in Sanatan Dharma :- Bhramin, Khatriya, Vaishye and Kshudra. If any person who is doing business i.e has got business skills, that person belongs to the Vashye Varna. Any person who is a warier or serving in defense or security of the nation or is soldier in army or anywhere working or contributing in defense he is Kshatriye, A person who is knowledgeable and spread education in society through teachings or a person who can also be supreme advisor of the king who assists king to take right decisions, who is brain behind societies welfare and growth belongs to the Bhramin Varna. Bramins are also seen as the deity of the earth. A persons who may be laborer's or service providers, mostly workers in any factory or company, or in short person who most of the time executes or follows the orders of Kshatriya or Vaishya or Brahmin's belongs to the Kshudra Varna. In Hinduism varna is not assigned on the basis of Birth, Dynasty or Last Name, Any person can change his Varna by changing his work and skills like doctor can also become an actor or an merchant.. all 4 varnas are equal as human being and have same human rights but they will have different set of powers and responsibility on them thus there will we difference of respect between these 4 designations. In Ancient India there were Rishis (Sages or Researchers) like Rishi Vedvyasa who wrote Baghwat Gita, his mother was a Fisher Women & belonged to Kshudra Varna but her son Vedvyasa was a Bramin, Similarly there was another rishi Valmiki who wrote the Ramayana belongs to a dalit family (Kshudra) but valmiki was bramin because of his Guna (i.e Skills or Qualites) and Karma (Duties or Responsibilities), Similarly there was rishi Vishwamitra guru of lord Rama, Vishwamirta belongs to Kshatriya family but he was bramin himself, So by this you can understand that KARMA's and GUNA(Skills or Qualities) of any individual decided his/her Varna, varna is not made to discriminate but to assimilate in a way to support the organized behavior of society or country by assigning social/cultural/individual duties i.e Dharma accordingly. Now Answering some questions which people have asked me from past few days, like is it possible to have a person like Ghatothkach (he was a Gaint person of more than 50,100 or 150 ft long) or have weapons like bhramastra or man flying without aircraft....??? The answer is Yes 100% Yes, have you ever been to Girnar in India, if you visit the mounts and jungles there you will find many sages at penance there, if possible go and try to interact with them and request them to give a live demonstration of lift-off of human body in air. i tried this and saw the live demonstration with my naked eyes, but they will not let you make any video's at all, even that sage lifted my body to 5 feets up in air, later when i asked him to tell how could he was able to do such thing, he explained some science behind the Sound Vibrations, he said every letter when pronounced correctly produces correct vibrations those vibrations produces correct resonance & electromagnetic energy & field, also every vibrations effects on human body parts, organs, cells, tissues, blood or even bones and skin, apart from this these vibration if accurately produced effects the 7 Shocker Points (i.e 7 Chakras) inside every human body, In Past our Rishis (i.e Scientific Researchers) who went deep into meditation have heard some sound vibrations they called them as Beej Mantras, Those Rishis also detected that every metal has it own unique electromagnetic radiation around it created by some sub-atomic vibrations continuously going on in it, thus by understanding those vibrations they first tried to listen the sound of the vibrations by entering into deep state of mind where they have higher level consciousness, after figuring out those sounds Rishis wrote them as mantras, those mantras were later used to control the behavior of their corresponding metals, but before that there was the process of Mantra Sidhi which was necessary to go through so that when Mantra chanter starts chanting that Mantra he/she will be able to produce enough power with sound signals so that the produces vibrations highly effect the subject (i.e Metal). this technology was also used to create Vimanas (Read Vaimanika Upanishad - it has everything which is needed to create a aircraft, it also mentions the kind of training that piolet that he must undergo before flying aircraft, apart from this when source of electricity, thrust production etc etc). Peter Davien in Newzeland demonstrated the boiling of water in 1940 with the help of sound vibrations (same can also done with the help of the Mantra which can be composed with the vibration of that sound), you just need to understand sound and it's resonance, you just need to put logic to how you can use the Free Energy On 17 June 2009, Science clarified that it was sound which was used in the laser beam not light. Science also discovered later that actually speed of sound can be more than the speed of light which contradicts the earlier researches of science. Secondly, how can a person fly & how Ghatothkach was able to resize his body also how is it possible to have Gaints like Kumbhkarna and Rakshas etc..?? See, There are 7 Shocker Points (7 Chakras) in human body and also in mother earth, if 3rd Chakra i.e Manipur chakra if somehow activated yogi gains some sidhis like Anima, Laghima, Garima etc.., Anima & Laghima can be used by yogi to Resize his body to any major or minor extent, Ghatothkach who was the son of Bheem and Hidimba had this sidhi by birth with him (Recently i also saw some video's about Gaint Human Skeletons Found in India & other places in Asia and Europe, you must go through those videos), This Manipur chakra gives the power of Gamana-Gaman, that means yogi can lift his body in air & fly, This chakra when activated removes 2 Elements from the body (Prithvi (earth) & Jal (Water) Tatva) thus the remaining Tatva's are Akash (Space),Vayu (Air) & Agni (fire) thus gravity does not affect the yogi's body which also makes him to feel much much lighter in weight. -- You must try and devote some time in learning Shocker Points in human body. Also there are many scientific videos on youtube demonstration how sound vibration effect the surroundings known as study of Cymatics (bringing matter to life with sound), Finally Weapon System:- Our Rishis Invented & also Discovered weapons, they used to give those weapons to their Kings so that they could protect humanity and their civilians in case of war, There were 4 kinds of energies which Rishis used to invent weapons for example:- Anu-Parmanu Shakti(Atomic Energy), Manasik Shakti (Energy of Mind & Consciousness) , Mantra shakti(Energy of Sound Vibrations) and finally Adhyatmik Shakti (Spritual Energy), Weapons like Bram Astra, Pashupat Astra, Narayan Astra work with the Adhyatmik Shakti. Astra's like Naag Astra, Megh Astra works with the Mantra Shakti. Try & takeout some time to learn about:- Anunnaki, Vaimanika Upanishad, Illusion Of Reality i.e The Concept of MAYA, Ancient Gaint Skeletons found, Power of Sound & Resonance, Concept of Cymatics (cymatics bringing matter to life with sound)., Kirlian Photography(Science of Aura) etc etc Also see this video by Dr.John Hagelin: Veda and Physics: The Science and Technology of the Unified Field, In this video John Hagelin (Ph.D. Quantum Physics) addresses the International Conference to Re-Establish Vedic India, 20 February, 2015 on Veda and Physics: The Science and Technology of the Unified Field. : kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZqlnyJmYoJTPaMY.html Also Learn what is difference between "Paramatma" and "Bagwan\God"? facebook.com/WhatIsMyDharama/posts/807663089324508:0 . Well, words are not important! "Hinduism" is used here for an audience for a perspective. The majority of people call themselves Hindus, therefore that works too.

Good presentation of Hinduism, which ended in praise continued in the comments. Meanwhile, to the question that Dr. Sutton began with, which gods Hindus worship, he answers that many Hindu gods are different manifestations of one God, although not everyone recognizes them as manifestations, and the priests themselves consider the god of their temple to be supreme. The argument has been made then that believers don't care about these doctrinal things - one God or many, they just worship. So lovely! But doctrine, (at which Dr. Sutton almost laughed at the end of his talk), is the way we think about the world (God, man, their purposes). From the way I imagine the world, it also follows what goals I set for myself, and how I act to achieve them. If the idea of the world is wrong (and in the case when everyone has their own doctrine, it will certainly be wrong), the goals will also be set incorrectly, and actions to achieve them will be meaningless, since they will lead to false goals.

Hindus believe in One Brahman that is manifesting in different forms. Simple. No need to waste 1 hour on this. Those who think Hindus worship many gods are wrong. Hindus do not fight with each other over which god one is worshipping. They know it is all the same. A sanskrit verse: ("Aakashat patitam toyam, yatha gachati sagaram Sarva deva namaskarah keshvam prathigachati" Just like the water from the sky finally reaches the Ocean, so does worship to any form reach the same God)

*Idol worship/Temples/Brahminism/Varnaism and Human Exploitation.* You can easily make it out relation between temples and human exploitation and Eshwer/Allah is knower of all the future and past. *Hinduism/Aryanism/Brahmanism are the names of Idol Worships or Temples creations/creators* And it is created / fabricated to Control, exploit and Subjugation populations in name of god. *Temple creation and humans discrimination, oppression, aggression, and human enslavement, Subjugation works hand in hand.* *Best living example is India:* *Study its past:* *1) Historic Temples/Idol Worship, Injustice = Varna = Discrimination System:* Untouchability Shuddikaran, Mulkaram, Devdasi, moral subjugation and the result: 1000s of Tons of Gold squeezed, Snatched/Blocked in temples and all recourses of India goes in control of 1% Aryans/Brahmins and 99% of India/Mulnivasi Clothless, Houseless Enslaved. Proof: See Ajanta Ellora and Khjuraho temples, Mulkaram collected until 1924 and sacrifice of Nangali. *2) India’s Muslim period and Justice::* Equality, Equal Distribution of wealth, respect of encouragement of Mulnivasi and GDP 33% of world GDP and 99% enjoyed Muslim Period. *Proof: This GDP attracted British/France to Invade/Colonize India* *3) India’s present or independence of India or return of power to Bra hmins/Temples in 1947:* Again return of injustice, Loots of India/Mulnivasi returns and 1000s of Adanis, Abanis, Malayas, Modis, Choksis, Scams NPAs and India in control of 1% Aryans/Brahmins/Cporporates and 99% of India/Mulnivasi Enslaved, Oppressed, Subjugate, ki lled..... *Proof: Their loots/Scams is balanced with Deadly Taxes, GSTs on Mulnivasi/Indians* India/Mulnivasi 107 on world hunger index and 1,64,000 ki llings of Mulnivasi every years, by hunger poverty and discrimination because 1% Brahmins/Corporates holds 95% of Indian wealth…… NCRB.. *Educate Mulnivsi/India the and save them from Temple/Brahmanism and their hidden agenda of looting Indian/Mulnivasi resources.* This all education was given to Ibrahim AS, so he stood against his own family/Father’s business 21;50/6;74/19;42 and build Kaaba/Mecca 2;127.

Lemme explain it. There are only 3 gods. By definition. Shiv the destroyer, Vishnu preserver and Brahma. (Like poseidon, hades, zeus) rest are demigods with Indra as it's head. These 3 gods have wives and son who also get worshiped. the3 gods also came to earth with different forms they can be worshiped too. actually, brahma never really comes to earth the other 2 does, in which vishnu's avatar is considered the most important ones. There are god of finance kuber, goddess of money laxmi, god of war kartikeya, etc list goes on. There is even goddess of Knowledge Saraswati. you might already find the similarities between greeks and hindus. Btw That noah's ark story is exactly similar to Manu's story in hinduism. only difference is Vishnu takes Matsya or fish avatar on earth and tells noah/manu to build an ark get all animals on the top and then repopulate earth after the flood. Hinduism already believes all religions are one. Hinduism itself is mixture of many principles, sikhism, buddhism, jainism, all came from hinduism. this way i am not calling them smaller or inferior but saying that they all were part of hinduism but later got developed on it's own.

Worship is something that comes from the judaic religions. However one would argue that the gods from Hinduism see god more as a teacher and a guide than anything. These gods would rather teach you to worship all living things and be very thankful for your very existence.

I dont see Krishna as a literary device. I know for a fact that he is god. He is the only god in human form. However, God realization can allow normal human beings to become god themselves. Zoroaster was a good example of God realization.

Yes we fail to understand that not all religions are the same Christianity and Islam are simple primitive religions - God made in the image of the King/Master - Master will give us the good life, we must get down on our knees and profess our loyalty(belief) to the master and he will be pleased and reward us(Heaven). Those that do not profess loyalty(the unbelievers) will be cast out of the kingdom(Hell) Hinduism/Buddhism are Parent/Teacher faiths - there is more to life than run after pleasures of the flesh by joining the "right" religion. Our goal is Moksha - Enlightenment - Aham Brahmasmi - to be Gods! Just as the Buddha was unrelenting in his quest for enlightenment, we need to be as well - Moksha is Earned, never given nor begged for Actually we are not supposed to Worship all living things or even God - we are to Contemplate on God, meditate on God, respect all living things because everything is made by God, hence everything is holy

Interesting, but not correct. All the Indian Philosophical Systems are connected to each other, they are not disconnected, what is meant is that an Amoeba has less level of consciousness, meaning less developed, compared to a dog which has less consciousness & so on. Same way Charwak is the least developed Indian Philosophy to Bhakti the most, but all are connected with each other.

There is ONE GOD worship by Hindus (Om Tat Sat Ekam Eve Adwityam - means There is Only One God) called by many names. Hindu is not scare its followers with the threat of hell and promises of heaven such as in Islam and Christian. Hindu have 4 Holly Books of Veda.

Dr Sutton makes a really good point in this talk about Śaṅkarācārya's Advaita Vedanta (non-dualism) system and the concept of "Godhead". That is to say, the worship or concept of "God" is dualistic, and external to the self, whereas in "non-dualism", there is no such thing as "God" or "Brahma", because everyOne is the One.
