Not saying you're wrong. But people make this assumption about all their favorite creators and players until a new story comes out. Don't put these people on a pedestal. We've seen the dangers of parasocial relationships too many times in this community. Edit: just to add to this...there are people in the scene who knew him personally and were friends with him. They saw him when the game and camera was off, and even they are still shocked and saddened by the news. So if his personal friends and colleagues didn't know about his true side, what makes us, as viewers and consumers, think we know what kind of person a creator or player could be outside of their content?

For question 1, as some bonus trivia, he doesn't hold a weapon but DK is also ambidextrous in Ultimate, as the hand he uses for his giant punch (both charging and releasing) is always the one that's facing away from the camera (so he uses his left hand when facing right and his right hand when facing left). This is a change from previous games where it was always his left hand regardless of which direction he was facing.

When it comes to the 3 languages in 1 match question, Pokémon Trainer is a good honorable mention, cause Charizard keeps its’ Japanese voice in all versions of the game since it doesn’t speak, and the other two Pokémon keep their English names and voices in the Spanish & Italian versions of the game, but the trainer themselves has a dub for both of those languages, so if you set the game to Spanish or Italian, you get JP, NA, and EU voice actors in one character.

Hope you and ESAM are doing well given recent events.

1) Corrin...? I don't know who uses a hand in a forward smash that isn't using a weapon, except Corrin extending into a spike. [Wolf? There could probably be cases made for a bunch of characters, some might have mirrored positions facing right/left, so this first question is kinda dumb. Glad the point count gave Corrin to the two anyway, so I do too.] 2) Only thing that comes to mind is Steve's little 'burp', but not sure that's what they're going for. [Ah, Snake. PKBeats may have pointed this out once, but I don't remember.] 3) Duck Hunt's probably sniffing the floor, dogs do that. 4) A character that speaks two languages... Oh yeah, Bayonetta. I've usually seen Samus players do the first jab then run away and pivot grab. 13) Hasta be Mario with the most stages. [Yoshi having 5 stages... I think the quiz didn't say corrin since they use both hands for their forward smash, sword hand for the charge and off hand for the attack- which definitely means they're ambidextrous but doesn't exactly fit the wording of the question

Without even looking at a list, there’s the Super Mario Bros. one, the Smash 64 Mario 64 one, the Mario 64 castle, the Super Mario Bros. 3 one, Mushroomy Kingdom, the Super Mario Bros. U one, the Mario Maker one, New Donk City, the two Mario Kart stages, and I’m sure I’m missing some.

you gotta put a little more time in between showing the question and having marss/esam answer. it gives the audience more time to think without pausing the video and helps pad out watch time.

I know the 3rd person couldn’t join for obvious reasons, but it would be sick to see other people take their place, like former members of Panda, or just new people entirely.

I played through the entirety of World of Light recently (also some spirit board) and I still did not know the answer to the most common spirit enemy fighter question

Regarding the “who appears in the most CGI trailers” there is no mention of it’s focusing on just ultimate or even just ultimate newcomers. It claims Krool however considering the series it’s Mario with Link being a very close second only behind by 1 iirc. In just Ultimate you have Mario in 6 (7 if you count WoL) Ken and Incin’s were a conjoint trailer so really Krool’s only in 5 trailers (6 including WoL). The question could’ve worked too, just had to ask “which Ultimate newcomer appeared in the most newcomer trailers”

My first thought on the taunts was snake because you actually can't cancel any of his taunts, so I thought that was the criteria and assumed there must be someone else who you can't cancel any taunts, but there isn't and that question was just kind of dumb.

Hero absolutely SHOULD be banned. He isn't broken, he isn't popular, he isn't particularly problematic in practice, but he does have the most fundamentally uncompetitive/inaccessible move in the game, in the form of menu. It literally does not matter how good the menu or the entire character is. Reading comprehension should NEVER be a skill-test in a fighting game, EVER. If both players speak different languages (like is becoming more common with US vs. Japan sets), or if a player is dyslexic or otherwise reading impaired, it creates such an insane imbalance that has never existed in any other fighting game. Outside of Nintendo reworking the move to use pictures or something, it is fundamentally an unworkable design and should not be allowed in tournament. At a minimum, players should have to gentlemen's on if he can be used. A dyslexic or non-native language speaker should not be forced to play the matchup. Roughly 20% of people are dyslexic, and probably at least 50% of the player base for Smash doesn't speak English. It just shouldn't even be a debate.

Yo, this quiz is ASS. There're so many questions that're just wrong. On top of the ones Marss and ESAM caught, Yoshi doesn't even have 5 stages. Wooly World's not in Ultimate. Probably because of stage morph? But yeah, it's not in the game. Plus, in what world does Yoshi have more than Mario? Peach's Castle 64 and Melee, Mushroom Kingdom 64, Rainbow Cruise, and Mushroom Kingdom 2 already beat Yoshi's numbers and that's before even accounting for any game after Melee.

For the Yoshi stage thing, I think it’s because the stages are specifically Yoshi’s. Peach’s castle technically is Peach’s stage, not Mario’s. I had the same confusion
