I went into my office in central London recently. The journey was horrific. I couldn't believe that we actually used to do this to ourselves all the time.

Hybrid all the way. No way would I want to be 100% remote (too lonely) or 100% office (too much dead commuting time + getting ill on packed trains)

Trains are good for giving your immune system a regular workout. Constant mingling is a biological imperative.

Hybrid is here to stay. I would never apply nor accept a full WFO role. The cost & travel is a no no especially if you work in London but live outside the city.

The PJ wearing WFH brigade often leave the house and sit in their local cafe , use the WIFi and heating , and take their own snacks. They generously buy an americano and drink it over the whole morning.

If you want to climb the ladder then you should go into the office, if you are happy to work from home and shy your responsability's then don't be surprised if you are not considered for future positions.

You clearly don't have the brightest and best workforce then and a low value EVP in your business as the best candidates don't want to be in the office 5 days a week (I work in recruitment)

And you will make do with second-rate employees as a result. Those of us who can be more selective with our employers will be giving you a wide berth.

I'd say, they should set mewling aside long enough to achieve the grammar expected of a 22-year-old graduate.
