Awesome lesson! For the E string root versions, I used my Thumb over the E on the A note, and the shapes were - small F shape (A major), Am shape (Amaj7), D shape (A7), A-major shape (Am7), and Am 1/2 step down (Am7b5). Just how my brain works. 😂 ✌🏼

I started learning guitar roughly five years ago. In this time I've developed a funk style and sound. I've gone where it's taken me. I'd love to be more like Eric Clapton, or Robben ford. instead my playing sounds more like something Earth wind and fire would do. Either way I'm grateful to have an understanding of the guitar and to be able to play. We are always learning and The road is still plenty long. Hopefully with time I'll be able to learn the styles that inspired me to pick up a guitar.

People need to know that a 7th chord is simply the 7th note in that key added into that chord for major 7ths....and for for dominate its same note just flatted so down a half step or 1 fret.....so a cmaj7. Has the 7th note in the key of c in it plus the regular notes in a c chord
