I think Vergil's ceiling is just a hair below Dante's, but Vergil is far easier to use and has an on-demand stun whenever you have one DT gauge charged.

Power wise it’s always been that Dante just has more power plain and simple Devil May Cry makes it clear since dmc 1 that Dante and Vergil have similar abilities but different ways of using them just like their appearance and personality Dmc 5 does the best job of showcasing this right next to dmc3 In Dmc 5 Dante has Judgment with Vergil Judgement Cut/Judgement End which is weaker than Dante’s Judgement but less straining on the body and more precise whereas Dante’s Judgement is a one hit end all that drains all his power and leaves him vulnerable after usage Same with Beowulf too in 3 Vergil had a lot more abilities combos and usages but they were weaker than the few combos and capabilities of Dante’s ridiculously overpowered charged hits Dante focuses on brute power which is implemented in his styles while Vergil focuses on precision speed and versatility with just Yamato Vergil is a monstrous threat to a Dante in dmc5 with way more powerful devil arms and that’s because where Dante lacks Vergil excels Dante uses his power to overwhelm his opponents but because of that he leaves himself open a lot this is shown in his character overall like when in dmc3 he was doing his thing but got swallowed by leviathan cause he was open or how he gets impaled every game Vergil doesn’t have openings because he focuses on precision and speed he can literally move faster than the human brain tells our fingers to hit the controller buttons that’s why his boss battles are so intense however because of this his hits lack power and his attacks slowly start to get weaker and weaker the longer the battle progresses as shown in dmc3 as well Dante and Vergil are literally what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object The cancel eachother out

***** Dude you have to learn how to time shit right on DMC...Learning how to jump cancel and learning each weapons traits as to how it affects some enemies....like how some weapons are able to keep some enemies on air while others don't...you have to time everything right.....

It took me a while to see that Dante's method of zipping around wasn't trickster moves, but just some really fast jumping with guard action to cancel the whole animation to slow it all down. Damn his girlfriend must be one happy grill.
