You can parry almost anything. Even the huge bombs Mundus hurls at you at the very end. I've done three in a row

Damn man. Those parries on Vergil were savage.

Thanks man! I took a couple of hours memorizing the timings. It's too bad I couldn't do it with his doppelganger on, because then if you parry the first one, his double will get you. Every time. I just wanted to destroy him once and for all. I prefer DMC3 Vergil by far. Speaking of, you should check my playlists, there's one with hundreds of DMC Videos.

If The "Mundus Spawn" Is Bugged,Try Not To Skip The Cutsecenes And It might be work.That's My advice

This game honestly doesn't look that bad, Dante sucks but I feel like if this just wasn't a devil may cry game it wouldn't have gotten bashed so hard

That's EXACTLY why the game was bashed on. It was honestly entertaining enough to enjoy multiple playthroughs, it's not like playing it was painful or whatever. But they shat, and I mean DEFECATED all over the lore and fandom and they don't deserve any love.

yep, CAPCOM should have had Ninja Theory change the lore and names abit, instead of rebooting the already rising popular DMC to DmC, like wtf. I enjoyed the game but i wanted the more of the previous version. The fans of the previous version of Devil May Cry didn't like the fact that that it's gone, and changed to this. That's whr most of the criticism came from. I felt cheated myself when i first saw the trailer. But I enjoyed this game, just hate the feeling that the old version might be gone.

Holy shit, watching the Vergil fight feels like u`re the main boss of the game, not him. :D

One of the best videos of this sadly underrated game. It is sad that we might never see any sequels for this game :( Well done anyway!

Yeah, I succeeded in taking no damage against him a first time, but realized Dante was flying all around the place. And I didn't like that. So I did it again, but this time without moving too much and deflecting nearly all of his attacks. You can still see me panicking at some points and dodging.

I wouldn't say exactly that butt thanks for the comment. Saying I can turn shit into something better is actually a nice compliment.

In my opinion DmC is actually pretty damn good, and I've played all the DMC games lol.

This game is literally just “what would have happened if Dante was born in America and not the UK” Which btw, yes, fun fact, it was confirmed by Capcom that Red Grave City is supposed to be in England. 3, 5 and the Anime all used British and Serbian architecture for inspiration. Dante and Vergil are British, and Nero is half Italian, because Fortuna is literally just the DMC equivalent of Sicily. I mean look at the names of the Fortuna characters. Credo, Agnus, Nero, Sanctus.

If there was anything these games did right it’s the fights with Vergil!

It made me laugh when Vergil flies away from your counterattack

I get they were trying to go in a different direction than typical lore but why does the sucubus boss not look like a sucubus

This DMC is not a challenge, the boss fights are so easy, Dante Must Die and hell and hell was easy too for me. If you want a real challenge go play DMC 3 DMD. Good luck.

maybe when i played this game as a kid i wasn’t old enough to realize what was actually going on in the story, but honestly being older it seems like this game’s story was very ahead of it’s time. Not so much the “devil may cry” aspect (dante, vergil, sparda??? can’t really remember if he is mentioned at all it’s been so long) , just the idea of rich people controlling the rest of the population feels like it would’ve done a lot better in 2020/2021 also this game is so good

Yea Sparda and Eva are still an important part of the game. Mundus killed them and had Dantes memory wiped until Vergil restored it, which is when he decided to help. They're also who he gets his angel and demon weapons and ophions from since his mother's an angel instead of human in this universe

Nah m8 Hakaishi DMC1 is incomparably way more brutally difficult than DMC3. DMC3 the second easiest in the series in my opinion. DMC2, DMC3, DmC DMC, DMC4, then DMC1.

well done. i like Dante in your game style: he doesn't waste concentration to extra moves, only answering to attacks and attacking in time. what platform do you use: ps or xbox and what can you recommend?

This was on pc. Its mostly the same machine I still have, its dated but it serves me well. I have consoles too. Just go with what you prefer, real gamers don't really care about which, although Steam on PC treats me very well as a platform.

It's funny that this is actually a Devil May Cry game. But it's DmC Devil May Cry. I'm not a big DMC fan but I know that Dante isn't this guy. He's more laid back, cocky, sometimes arrogant. But he's fearless. The DMC Dante. This guy is just arrogant. Doesn't give a damn, why should he care. That's the DmC Devil May Cry Dante.

Same applies to barb barbas.

I think it makes it easier to take no damage when your lifebar is full, if you were one hit from defeat it would make it harder to concentrate

When you go for no damage every hit is defeat. Your logic makes little sense. I know what you mean but you have the same pressure when you getting close to the win.

This gameplay is insane

The Bob Barbas boss is pretty annoying on GMD difficulty (definitive edition) since enemies start armored.

is it possible that you get awarded for action on DMD which are not awarded on DH? because I never get points for 5 or 10 hit combo neither for using grab on enemies. and dude seriously you own their asses. just a joy to watch ya! !!

There's special conditions for these, and I totally forgot how it works. I think if you switch weapons too fast, or use guns for too long, or use the same weapon for too long the combo stops. Honestly I always prefered the DMC3 and 4 combo meters. They only penalize repetition, and they allow you to ''play'' with your ''food''.

Cosworth_Galaxy Protip, it's more about dodging well and less about pulling combos out of my voidzone. Knowing enemy attacks is half the magic.

Well. To be honest I also own the Bosses on DMC3, so I really cannot tell. I do know that at the very least, DMC3 requires preparation. I'm the kinda guy who thinks Dark Souls is easy.

I did practice. Vergil by himself is easy (what a travesty to say) but countering all of his moves like I did took a day or two to perfect. I redid the fight a few times because I dodged too much, or took damage trying to counter. You should see my Nevan Run of DMC3, I'm sure you'd like it. I'm trying to speedrun the game with nothing but Nevan as well, I time right under 3 hours last time I did it. In fact, just go check the whole DMC playlist I got, blast yourself off to funzone while you're at it. Thanks for watching :D

I Really love the weapons in this game well might as well play this on son of sparda once again

Narratively this game was just inferior to it's predecessor but gameplay wise it was amazing and had a lot to offer like any other DMC Capcom made

Man I'm late but fuck it I'm a true DMC fan I've played them all countless times and beat them all on my first play (DMD Mode of course) 1-4 the original is great and holds a place in the hearts of us all who knew the original characters but in all honesty (my opinion) DmC did it a little better, it took a more realistic approach as realistic as you can get with the smooth cool comedy of Dante and his friends 😂 (and his talking weapons 😂) DmC is to bring new people in but that doesn't make it shitty I loved the new nephaelm approach the new upgraded rebellion that morphs into demonic and angelic weaponry, I loved seeing a new approach for Dante and Vergil's relationship which made it shocking and hard to fight him in the end, Kate was slightly annoying 😂 but that's ok And I don't give a damn what anyone says DmC Dante is a hilarious asshole just like our old dante Love the hair Can't have Dmc without ebony and ivory duh 😂 the story fixed some of the holes the original had
