The way DL pulled himself together with a few jokes, that was just beautiful.

I think DL knew if he didn't laugh (respectfully), he was going to cry.

DL is really shaken by this. I feel for him.

Something wasn't right with his death then & after watching this I still feel even more foul play has been done!! I believe Bernie was either asked to be initiated or was but didn't exactly know what he was getting himself into! I heard a rumour that he was shown the cloning centers ( yes they do exist) & he wanted to speak out about it but your boy Steve didn't quite want that to happen!!?? Like I said that's what was rumoured at that time! And after that episode with Monique I kinda get it!!! DL has never really been quite the same to me when I watch his interviews he seems perturbed & troubled!

DL was so right when he said if you have someone you love you need to tell them. I lost my brother a few weeks ago and never told him I loved him, it still makes me cry to this day.

We seen DL in Tempe, AZ the night after Bernies funeral. He put on a great show but he was deeply bothered by the funeral...God Bless him and for the courage to fly back out to Phoenix for his engagement, a true professional. God Bless Bernie & his family!

He wanted to start his speech but he couldn't keep from crying so he switched it up and made light of the situation.

He made me cry. You could see the hurt

In traditional comedic fashion, turning pain and heartache into humor. Absolute legends!

I love how D.L. inserted the comedy to help himself be able to express his condolenses. I just came from my aunt's funeral and it is very important to give the people you love their flowers, while they can smell them! God bless you all.

A few months ago, a good friend of mine died. He wasn't a professional comedian but was very funny. At his funeral his humour was a comfort for everyone there because it made you realize that the celebration of the life lived is so much more important than their death. RIP Bernie

I'm gonna just be honest after I saw Bernie on Kings of comedy I wanted to be just like him he didn't have no filter when it came to his jokes which is why he was the funniest out of all of them he said what was on his mind and didn't care how u felt about it

joseph robinson I agree, Bernie was old school he didn’t care what anyone thought! Richard Pryor was like that too! They would have never apologized and backed down from something they said on the stage about gays, women, men, or any ethnicity or race! Kevin Hart begged those white folks and lgbt community for forgiveness, over something he said more than a decade ago! Bernie and Richard would have told those folks to kiss their a$$! Because they could still make their money on the road if necessary! If do comedy on stage there is no such thing as being politically correct! Bernie was a real black man! I definitely miss him! He kept it real !

Laughter at a funeral helps you remember the good/fun times...

Why comedians are the best friends, they can bring smiles to hurt world and that’s why they need to be protected

I feel for him so bad at the end. I lost my best friend at 24yrs old. Never got to tell him how much I loved him. I always thought I'd have more time.

read his memoir..Maybe You Never Cry Again. He loved his mom so, so much it touched my heart. a certainly must read book.

The good die young. My mom passed at 50 also, and it is too young to go. DL was fighting to keep his composure, and it hurts me to see comedians I respect hurting as well. This was the first time I got to see this. RIP Bernie Mac

I dont know about you but at my funeral, I want people to celebrate my life I had on earth. Id want my family & friends to smile & laugh at the good times we had bcuz I'll be there in spirit. Even tho its natural to be sad at funerals, I never got that. People should be happy that they are no longer suffering, no longer worrying, no longer stressing, no longer trippin about bills, drama and materialistic shit. The ones who passed away are FREE!

I find myself always watching Kings of Comedy and Soul Men. Pretty much anything Bernie. Bernie you were and will always be legendary. We still tear up thinking about you but we know you are warning up that great material for when we get there. Rest in Paradise Bernie, Isaac Hayes, Robin Williams, Mom and to everyone that has lost a loved one along the way, God Bless You and your families.

Man, Wish I could've been at that event. Loved Bernie Mac since I was a kid, watched all the movies he was in, Booty Call, House Party, Don't be a menace, Friday, inappropriate for my age at the time but the small roles he had in those movies made them funny as hell. Was devastated the day I heard he died. I was upset thinking how we can't have another movie him in it.
