I’ll say too, the bongos makes a better fit for DK

Too many themes on a single level. Ship, jungle, mountain, all at once. Quick theme change - from jungle to desert. Lots of blind jumps on early levels. Looks good but need more polishing.

People have been saying this about this work. Not enough build up. Everything thrown at you at once. No environment or stage specific enemies. Appreciate the effort but...😕

Yeah, Leandro is right. There was a good video done where a guy interviewed the 5 different members of the original team and they talked about game design and the purpose behind the roll mechanic and how every enemy was set to be programmed in exactly a way such that if the player knows what they are doing they should be able to always be moving forward with stopping. Only hesitation results in waiting, etc. Excellent work up to this point, though. Very happy to see someone with some experience working on such a project.

Love that echo at the end of DK's theme if he clears a stage!

What an awesome tribute to a timeless franchise!

This is always what I wanted from a new DKC game. One where all four characters are playable. Awesome

@@Shaniverse yeah same here… i forgot about the project for a long time maybe even a year, and i remember following the project at the time all the demos were being dropped etc. idk why, but i was listening to stickerbush symphony and then this popped into my head as i like i said, i remember being super excited for it but then it just disappeared and didn’t hear from the creators again

@@geokioooo12 Yeah... So A Few Years Ago I watched a lot of DKC Boss Rushes, Speedruns, ect. Then I got into DKC Again and remembered this. It's a Pretty Cool Fan Game and it Has So Much Missed Potential :/

This level is FANTASTIC and a great way to start off DKC4. Seeing all the Level 1’s sort of blend together is a bit magical! Platforming was pretty good for being the first level, nothing crazy. GREAT music too omg. Solid!the desert was a weird choice for level two but the enemies fit the feel and overall, it was well done! Seriously. Good job team!

There's something about this old style that just captures the feeling of the games. Cool project!

OMG gameplay with DKC2/3 elements!!!! I’m in love! Always preferred DKC2 and 3’s music, sound and spinning KONG letters over the first DKC, and I couldn’t STAND those special buddy tokens...they are still pointless to me because I don’t need the extra lives!

He visto toda clases de Hackroms en internet, pero el tuyo es una obra maestra, usar a los 4 personajes de la trilogia, distintos enemigos, nuevas escenarios, es simplemente una oda a la perfección. Y sin exageraciones, tú y los que hicieron esta maravilla deberian estar en las oficinas de Nintendo.

its a demo, as in this they werent focusing on world building but to be fair DKC games have had stark contrasting areas before, like bramble heaven in the murky swamp, or a snowy retreat right after the lakeside stages.

When I first saw this, I was all like :o! This needs to be official! The levels are very original, and so are the names. The music sounds just like a David Wise soundtrack! And the whole switching between Kongs thing was very creative! I would kill if this was on a gaming console!

I really, REALLY wish the team behind this would find a way to release "Donkey Kong Country 4: The Kongs Return" in Super Nintendo Cartridge hardware form. I bought "Super Mario World: Return to Dinosaur Land" and "Super Demo World: The Legend Continues" game cartridges last year for Christmas, and I was thrilled beyond words...... Would gladly - SO very gladly - add "Donkey Kong Country 4: The Kongs Return" to complete my collection.

The old donkey Kong country games is so much better than the new ones i wish they still made them like this
