Excellent game.. However, I find it amusing how two different versions of rat dota get such mixed reactions from the fanbase.. When [A]dmiral Bulldog on Alliance rats his way to victory on his signature Nature's Prophet, I see a barrage of flame in the comments about how alliance cannot win without ratting their way, and how the mechanic itself is such a stupid and flawed concept.. However, when Burning rats his way to victory (this game was pretty much Burning rat dota right from the mid game when he got radiance), it's about how intelligent Burning is, and how coordinated DK are in keeping NewBee's attention which Burning pushes strategically.. Note that I don't hate either team or either player. I'm just a fan of good dota, whether it's teamfights or rat dota or straight up stomps.. I just found this obsevation interesting.

I agree with you mostly. I think part of the issue with Alliance is that rat-doto was their preferred playstyle, and they relied on it to win the majority of their difficult games. DK have a lot more variety to their playstyle, and Burning has a much wider hero pool than Admiral Bulldog.

I think it's a slight exaggeration to say that Alliance relied on the strategy.. In my opinion, any top class team that relies too much on a specific strategy will definitely get countered. I think most of the hatred towards Alliance rat Dota stems from their win at TI3 where s4 had the million dollar dream coil and loda and egm on ck wisp throned navi with admiral bulldog.. It was definitely an exciting moment in Dota but I can see the frustration from navi fans which is justified too.. I'm looking forward to TI4 to see what new strategies teams are coming up with..

I agree that admiral bulldog's hero pool is kinda limited however on the heroes that he does play he is so good that it forces opponents into banning his heroes which puts them at a slight disadvantage during the drafting phase.. I'm talking mostly about his prophet, line druid and batrider here.. I my opinion those are the heroes that he excels on..

In the last fight I was thinking that were the hell is Burning ?? Mushi is hexed, Void is using chrono without BKB.... Dk needs the song... where the hell is Burning.... And suddenly I see Newbee calling GG and m like WTF why!!... and then they show that burning has almost took their Ancient... that is some next level stuff..Objective gaming at its Best.

Half the prize money goes to Burning's chiropractor after carrying his team this game.

Didn't anybody notice how BurNing waited for Death Prophet to TP first before he TP's to the enemy base and end the game? Next-level dota. It's a shame the commentators didn't notice the game-ender. Would have been really great if there was a better shoutcast lol just my thoughts.

LOL'D you actually thought they were outplayed because they always get killed.,.. but it was DK that are outplaying them from the start... you know its gonna happen when you're razor picks midas... why?? obviously because naga will take all 3 lanes for herself.. 2nd look at how iceiceice played...he is constantly annoying the newbee players focusing their attention on him giving BurNiNg no pressure almost the whole game and look at how easy newbee was on burning early game ... they didn't even put pressure on him

Mother of TROY. This the best game of Dota I've ever seen. Freaking OSOM.

Newbee was in a great lead, they know that the potential of burning's rat in the end could lose their game and should've pushed mid and destroy the ancient. If they saw naga pushing into bottom, they can risk winning the game by, Pushing mid lane, leaving rubick in the base. (If naga accomplished destroying bottom racks and tping to base, rubick could blink stun him). Plus i dont think burning could destroy newbee's ancient fast enough, since they have DP's ultimate and chrono to delay DK's action (They have 1 tier 4 tower left). Overall, they lose the game by poor decision making in the end. Edited: They shouldve pushed before they lost their first bottom racks and mid racks.

Great game to watch.

Naga Siren is a balanced hero and is in no way gimmicky, broken, or unfair in any regard or amount of severity. The hero is the epitome of fairness and sportsmanship.

I think you should watch C9 vs Alliance in ESL, i dont remember the which game it was maybe 2 or 3, but it where C9 strongly defend their base and almost winning their game after 60 min.

Still tho i think that pushing mid constantly trying to win the game outright was a major mistake by Newbee especially when they were without buybacks and it lost them the game, I think it was much safer and easier to claim mega rax. While it is a major mistake in my opinion i suppose calling it a "throw" is indeed exaggerating :P.

hey, if you watch clearly u will see DK putting wards in the radiant base and there have creeps in there also... if u smart enough u will tp to break the tower to end the game...is not rat!

dammit, I hate to shit on a video of such an awesome game, but Maut isn't a good caster imo. he keeps missing a lot of the most important details and is often wrong when he shares an opinion on something. Before the last fight in the dire base, for instance, the fight was pretty much over. with bb on mushi as well as 3 other dire heroes as well as the blown bkb from void, the fight was won. and even before that, the casters didn't seem to understand that even though DK was down a rax, the game was very much even. with pick offs from nyx/lion, the push from burning and the dire advantage (especially the dire advantage which was kind of the clincher for this game which I didn't hear talked about much), Newbee were just going to get whittled down. they were falling behind from the 50 minute mark onward if not earlier and the casters didn't seem to understand that. not that I'm an expert, but for casters who inevitably watch shit tons of replays and analyze them, they should be able to pick up on this stuff.

AbsoluteZ3R0 they got at least one kill on Mirana towards the end. and as someone else pointed out, it creates space. furthermore, it makes newbee scared. they're not going to push out nearly as far as they otherwise would have. and if they do, they have at least 2 other heroes with them. which means burning is safe farming the entire map and pushing the other lanes.

juju52291 I am aware of this, I was basically just poking fun at how many times they had died by the end of the game. I do realize that their "tactical feeds" helped the game considerably, by forcing IG to play more passively, waste chronospheres and BKB charges, etc. I honestly think you could tell by the way they were playing that DK was very likely to take the game, but it's still worth pointing out how many of their pick offs actually failed

Sucky style there. That was Naga vs Newbee. Naga's OP, Newbee was wayyyy better than DK, they won team fight thanks to their buyback near base but without it it was easy gg for Newbee. Newbee won for me.

Sucky style? Newbee's entire strategy is stand at tower's w DP ult and chrono anyone who shows up to defend. DK played very well and the amount of patience and control they showed was phenomenal. Nobody gives a rat's ass who "won for you". DK won. You sound like a whiny fan boy. Go cry elsewhere.

John Bender I don't care about what you say, it's Burning that won, not DK. And as overs said in the comments, Naga is OP and it's just thank to her that they won. Her playstyle impose the opposed team to be defensive even if they are winning (like in this game) but in reality Newbee won at 40min or so since they were wayyy ahead. So i'm not crying but, hey, sucky playstyle and if Naga's banned they lose that's it :)

Rafiphou Its called counterpick. When you see they go for void, that means they want to teamfight - you pick naga, the teamfight queen + the rat queen, so you can turn some fights that you chose to take and split push the hell out of them. And saying that Burning won the game by himself is wrong, yes, he did amazing job but his whole team did nothing but make space for him the entire game.

super noob newbee try stupid all in mid. seriously, they got refresher on prophet and aghs (and can be refresher) on void. only 4 racks need to be killed to get mega. why not play objective gaming and go 1 rack at a time and go back, rinse repeat. did they count the time to destroy ancient at all? did they do the maths right? i think they just go forward for no reason and expect it to get destroyed in time.

Because Burning was dead. sure he had BB but the opposing team didnt know. I believe the idea was to Force the burning BB den back off and re-think their gameplan. if u take a closer look, burning held on to the BB. Newbee would definitely try to at least force that out, they will have to force that, and as they were trying to do so. dk jumped on them, they went all in to commit to the fight. Then burning BB and BOTS down to bot lane, and it was game. newbee have been engaged. they couldnt tp back without losing at least 3 heroes. and even if they made the "return to defend call" burning could still song and use illu-rat. But i do think newbee were too aggresive. they could do with more farm on mirana and fv.

leonardo setiawan they were actually doing fine. burning cut off the creeps (he did well). but newbee still got 1 tier 4, 2 tier3 and 1 set racks at 1 point while dk only had 1 tier 3. if u watch the chinese stream, u will notice that the turning point was a mistake by hao. remb at bot lane mushi static link and he popped bkb ( which is probably the right call, bcuz lion and nyx were missing). but they went to force mid right after with bkb was on cd, the bb was on cd too. that fight he chrono on mushi ( mistake again, not onto the naga) and burning juz went for song. fv did nth throughout the chrono and as a result a teamwipe and megas. the megas was down and burning was dead. they feel that smth has to be done, thats why they all in mid which i think was the right call. they cant stall the game against megas and they had to do something while naga is dead. if u sit back n def, wait for dk to commit a mistake. it means naga dun hav to bb and he will hav bb for the next fight. and they probably wun make any further mistakes as they are up megas and i dun see a reason to commit to pushing ( at most illusions).

there's no way they get megas against DK. instead of trying to destroy a tier 4 and then losing the fight (like what happened in the game at 1:20:15), they try to destroy a set of raxes and then still die. the outcome would have been the same.

It's all speculation anyway, but I think Burning made them a little too scared on his solo pushes. Sometimes when you are a full rax ahead you can take the risk of trading a new set of rax against one of your own. If Burning uses his BoT's there is no way for him to get back quickly enough to set up a good fight with anything but the song, if you've managed to pick off one or two DK heroes by that time, I don't think Naga and Razor can 2v5 a chronosphere. But then again this is all speculation, and I would say there's a higher probability NewBee played this right, than me with limited experience sitting at home watching the pro's and guessing.
