Not gonna lie, based on this video he does come across as a bit old school with his distribution (heighted long balls), his short game is fairly basic and competent. He definitely has the “cultured” composed passing to beat a press in his locker, probably needs training to improve frequencies of it. From the comps he looks more astute than Sanchez at shot-stopping but Sanchez is still a better ball-playing keeper. I just dont trust Sanchez at saving an on target shot. Honestly, I wasnt the biggest fan of Kepa but signing Sanchez to replace him is a bit short-sighted. We’ve only improved on claiming crosses and having a better passer of a ball, but thats about it 😂 wouldn’t mind not signing some of the wonderkids and spending the money on Maignan instead

Ooh how we have found ourselves in this position in football.. Getting a goalkeeper for passing not his ability to guide the gate.. I miss the old days for real..

Sanchez was not pressed on his debut for Chelsea but made the wrong pass. Kepa was not pressed while he was missplacing his long passes. Give the guy his flowers

Better than Sánchez if I'm being honest

His passes loook decent and accurate. But he looks a bit slow with the ball at his feet. And this might be exposed in the EPL as forwards might press him and close him down very quickly.

For what Kepa was being paid and only nominally being better than what we’ve seen from Sanchez, it was the right move. Either Sanchez steps up and owns the first team goalkeeper or he gets beat and is a great 2nd keeper. Same with Petrovic. Gonna be an iffy season finding out though. I’m not thrilled but my guess is if neither solidifies themselves as a guaranteed starter, we’ll sign a keeper on the level of Maignan or Kobel in the summer​@@pastorammishaddaiofosuasam3496

Disasi against Liverpool the goal wasn't his fault James left his marker ball watching. Against West Ham the second goal was his fault miss placed a pass but colwill not physical and got bullied but Sanchez should be saving that shot so I wouldn't solely blame disasi

@@uzzy1 Stupid! You ever heard the phrase " cover your teammates when they are out of position", he was totally ball watching becuz he wasnt marking two liverpool player , he had one job just to cover the only player behind him in which he failed to do. Simple team sport becuz i play the sport ok.

Most of these are just him putting the ball into a certain area and his team mates moving into that area to receive the ball. Stuff like this you see even from farmers league goalkeepers, nothing special. If anything it looks more like his handling of the ball is what is the key feature for him. Looks way more promising than Robert let me punch everything Sanchez. Honestly I’m getting so disappointed with Chelsea lately and how Todd and co are doing signings. I’ve been a fan for over 23 years now and I’ve never questioned Chelsea as much as I have since he took over. I want him either out or to hire someone who actually has a clue about football. Like why do we not have an actual striker worthy of playing for us yet.

There's also a compilation of saves. I think he's way ahead of Kepa and Sanchez put together. I hope he blends with the pace of premier league. I'd even prefer the academy graduate than Sanchez. Any shot on target is a goal. Chelsea is so unlucky
