Please make us a video about how to make this wireless mic audio better and give it more that echo depth in Davinci resolve
You're an excellent vlogger. Charming and most importantly efficient. I got the overview of what you're talking about in 1-2 mins. So many vloggers are too long winded.
I have had mine for about two months and it’s amazing! So so so good. I definitely recommend. This review is accurate. Great job David!
Perfect range for getting car audio on rolling shots I’ve been on the search for a mic like this for that specific reason & it records internally 🤯 no more worry about losing audio due to range I’m so impressed can’t wait till mine comes in!
Great video! Prior to this kit I carried a bag with all of my Rode connectors and cables. I run the Kondor Blue cage on my FX3 and it holds the receiver firmly. I also have a Tilta cage but I haven’t tested it with that one yet. Thanks again for a great review! 🔥🔥🔥
I’ve had it a few weeks. Use it with my GoPro and I have also used it to add audio to my DJI Mini 3 Pro screen record videos by connecting it to the RC. It’s a great system!
This is a really good video I just got these in and I’m going to make an unboxing/using video for all my social media accounts! Thanks for the video!
This review confirmed what I thought. Buying it now! Appreciate you 🙏
Such a great review. I already had it as a gift but this video gave me the confidence to use it. Thanks.
Just purchased this setup and absolutely love it!
Love the record feature as a safety backup, 14 hours is plenty. It sounds pretty good too. If I didn't have a rode wireless go and lavalier go setup, I'd definitely buy this especially love the charging case as standard.
Thank you for the outtakes! Kind of my fave. Being real.
Got em, love em! Agree with you on every point. As usual - amazing video. Love your sentiment/ethos. Thank you as always.
I just picked this up and finshed my audio testing. Great mic. I really like the idea of using the boom mic as well for environment ambience. Thanks for the vid.
Thanks for the review. I picked up the 1tx + 1rx package deal and worth every penny. Impressed with it so far. Magnet is stronger than I anticipated sounds pretty good for my uses.
I had the rode so I really didn't want to buy another one, but I fell in love with that case. Turns out to have been a huge upgrade
Great Info! Thanks!!
I'm going to subscribe because your one of the biggest reasons I bought my go pro hero 8 thank you for the channel and helping make my some what difficult buying choices
Great video. Great tips
We love your reviews, it helps us as we are luddites. Our Wireless Go have just gone down after 6 months so we have bought this as a backup mic, subbed and watching amigo
*So far...I LOVE IT!!! I just got it and it saved the day while vlogging and doing interviews in an outdoors situation. I can't wait to use it in places where my Zoom H1 was used, but the background noise was atrocious. The footage I captured with the DJI Mic was soooooooo good!*
Have been using it for weddings and some KZread stuff and love it….. you forgot about the magnet clip to hide the mic behind your shirt! THAT is game changing as well.
Dude. You are made for KZread! Good job brother. Keep it up!!!! Thanks!
I've been using my Rode Wireless GO 2 for a while but have strongly considered switching to this system purely due to being able to pull recordings directly off the transmitters without additional software.
Awesome review I just got these and look forward to try them

love the energy and think im gonna go but this now...
Wow, you literally made me go from skepticism of these types of "non pro level" mics to wanting this particular one! I was strongly considering the prosumer level wireless lavs but this particular one checks all the boxes for me. There are three questions I have. Firstly, how does this work for clipping? Is there a built in auto gain function built in or is it all manual? How does this micsystem sound with a prosumer level mic? How does this system work with more than 2 mics? Can this be done? I'd also like a comparison of the sound quality for this brand and other brands in the same category. I worry that all these systems have terrible on board pre amps. Overall though, I think this is a great product for people looking for high quality audio thay is one step below prosumer level mics. 👍🏽
I made the mistake of buying the Synco G2 (?) setup. It works but is very hard to read the screens in direct sunlight. I wish I had waited and got the DJI. Lesson learned. Great video. Thanks.
It’s my go-to lav mic system for weddings, absolutely love it so far!! The safety channel feature plus internal recording as a backup is just a game changer for me :)

I was originally skeptical of wireless systems, however, I've used this for 3 projects now and I am completely sold. It's been worth every penny. On one project, I had some clipping, but the safety channel saved the day. I use mine with my Fuji X T3, and my action cameras. I've even done 2 person interviews, and some motovlogging. @@MSU92AZ I have been looking at these for some time. My only concern is that the is no locking screw for lav mics on the transmitters and the lav can be easily pulled out. Have you had any issues with this at all? I'm assuming that even if this was to happen, the onboard mic would just take over anyway?
I find it hilarious that nobody can say, "dJi." Not picking on you. I just always find it amusing. 'Everybody' says, 'dGi' or at least that's the way it always sounds to me. Great review again. You always do a great job. Thank you!

@@DavidManningvlog I agree! One negative point I could make on it thought is the inability to put the wind covers nor the jack cable inside the case forcing you to have that little bag along side. I think if I could store all this together in the case. It would have been brilliant. But this doesn’t take anything away from the quality of the system. I’m definitely team DJI for the win. I have too much stuff from them and already eyeing their new drone… LOL
I hope DJI paid you for this video coz you’ve just sold me to it! Thank you for making it easy to understand and sharing the benefits with the features!
Really impressed with the strength of the magnetic. Went trail riding (granted nothing crazy) but the mic held on with no problem.

How was the wind noise suppression on the trail ride? I use an Insta360 Go2 for my trail rides and the wind noise on it is awful.
would love to see the comparison to the ROde Go 2.

Hey Greg, awesome to hear you're liking it. Quesiton - does it start recording straight to the transmitter when the camera button is pushed or do you need to manually hit record on the transmitter first and sync up later? Or both? Cheers!
@gregstotts1638
Жыл бұрын
What I do is hook up the receiver to my XT3, check sound levels on my camera screen and clap once after pressing the shutter button in case there's a sync problem later in post. The sound from the wireless is automatically merged with the video captured by the camera on your media card. I have used the recorders without the wireless receiver and had to sync in post. The hand clap helps in that situation. Hope that helps.

The individual transmitters each record if you push the record button on each transmitter. The receiver doesn't record on its own. It just passes the audio signal on to your attached camera. Check out KZread instructional videos.

@@gregstotts1638 for motovlogging did you just connect the receiver to the action camera and have the receiver inside the helmet with the transmotter, or did you just use the transmotter and merged it up in post

Really?! Oh man Cory, it's super solid! Problem is that it's been sold out for the past few months. Probably why a lot of the buzz around it died down. Looks like it's back in stock almost everywhere in the US though👍
I love that you said cell phone, I said this the other day and someone was like “don’t say that you’re making me feel old” (we were both 31)
Can I pair an additional mic set to the same receiver ?
I'm really thinking about picking up one of these puppies. I use my Insta360 One X2 but I don't really talk to camera as I don't really like the audio pick up from the internal mics nor the external audio pick up from the usb-c mic adapter and plugging in a shotgun mic. After seeing this....once I pick it up at least and get better audio....I'll start talking to the camera more often and possibly using it to capture audio for drone video voice overs as well
Nice review. Was thinking of picking this up to record audio for my ATV rides. I’ve been using a Insta360 Go2 for the video but the wind noise on it is awful. I was hoping to use this to record audio from the ride itself (engine, transmission shifting, etc) and then the other inside my helmet for commentary. I’m assuming I can grab the audio files off of each of the mic’s directly and then mix the two separate channels in editing?
1) I record to my smartphone so I don’t have headphone jacks. Does it have a headphone port? If so, can I monitor it while it is inputting? 2) I currently use Rode Micro 2-I sure wish you had compared sound quality, or at least mentioned it. In every way the DJI appears better-but if it sounds worse I won’t switch. I wish you had told me.
IM GONNA BUY IT!!🎉
Great review- Is there a remote control product that allows the camera to be turned on using a hand held remote control?
Great video! It happened to record and mono is there a way to separate the two receivers onto separate audio channels, or are they baked in to the footage for good?
Great review! Can I have 2 or 3 pairs of those in the same room to record a 6 person panel for instance?
thanks for the video! one question do you think it will work with the new Insta 360 x3 and not show up in the shot?
Awesome.
I bought two of these. One for me and one for my wife. It would be nice if you could put them in the case and close the lid with the dead cats still attached. I know there is a case for the whole setup but it makes a little more to keep up with. It would have been handy if there was a micro SD card. I do a lot of my stuff directly in my iPhone so the onboard recording is a bit clunky to get to. Although, I haven’t had any drops so I haven’t needed it and it’s easy enough to get in my iPad. If you’re wanting to minimize visibility you can put the mic inside your shirt and just have the little magnet on the outside. Now that I’m done picking the nits 😂 I really enjoy this system. I have others by other companies and I’ll probably carry one as a backup but unless I lose this or it stops working, I seriously doubt I’ll find anything to replace it. It checks all the boxes for me. Oh, and if you forget anything during your video you can use the onboard recording for the voiceover and it will blend with the original audio much better. 👍
Nice review (as always) I’ve had mine since NAB. Love mine. Did a review myself.
Thanks for the great video. Watched it before purchase of the DJI and again afterwards. I do have a question. If I record in mono or stereo with two mics, I only get one audio track from my camera. The camera is a Zony ZV1 and I edit in Davinci resolve. Any suggestions?
Would the DJI wireless mic be good for recording a small venue concert? For the music and also the crowd singing along?
Can you share the settings you use to get the best bass and sound quality that you have in the video?
Does the transmitters record a backup track too or will it only record one track as stand alone?
In the new firmware update you don't even need to press the record button to record. You can just turn on auto record from the menu.
nice video great comparison. With recording from camera with both mics at the same time, will you be able to split the audio in post?
@DavidManningvlog
Жыл бұрын
Yeah, if you have it set to merge audio, it will record as a mono track, but if you have it set to record stereo, one mic will be the right channel and one mic will be the left channel👍
How does it compare with the RODE Wireless Go II? The RODE is my #1 for lots of stuff but curious of a comparison.
You can swipe up too it’s sorta a short cut to record etc

Thanks Achala! I appreciate you watching!👊
what gain settings are you running on the transmitter and receivers?
if i bought 2 sets could you connect all 4 mics to one receiver? i want to use this for interviews but sometimes we have 4 people on the video
David if I put the reciver on a gopro and plug it, when I hit the record button on the camera will the microphone record
Just ordered these. Which 3.5 lav mics would you recommend to plug into the transmitter?
i appreciate how you say things like IF you need it, like you never push for us to buy the thing you are telling us about, i appreciate that. had looked at Rode and the DJI mic systems, and just could not justify the cost. i bought something more than half the price (7ryms iRay DW20). - works great with the experiments i have tried so far, i just need to figure out the gain/volume! i am new to external audio. mine apparently has a similar range, i know i sat the other side of a large hall to do one of my test/experiments, worked great. it's crazy mad that mics come with such a long range - i guess there's a need for it at some point, like if you were on the tv news across the road from your camera man, or something!!! ,otherwise i am with you, in what scenario would we need to be so so far away from our gear! Thank you for another great video. hope you are having a great weekend my friend.
How well can it record live music?
Amazing
When you record only with the transmitter how do you know what the levels are at? Does the the mic pick a middle ground? Or is it based on how it was set on the receiver previously?
I have wait wait and wait on it😅 and yes i have purchase it. Not use it that much yet, but it for my fishing videos🎣
can you try it would contact it to iPad pro and mac? just like you did with iPhone? thanks
does it have a noise cancellation feature?
I want this mic for my dpi action 2 but want to remote mount the receiver to the cage the camera sits in. would a usb c mini extension cable be ok to connect the camera and receiver indirectly? thanks for any help. Regards
Hi Dave I have a Panasonic Lumix S5Ii. What is the the best settings? Would you recommend for KZread/interview style in camera and DJI receiver
I want to buy the dji mic and the countryman b3 lavalier. Ist the sound quality only dependent on the lavalier you are using or also on the transmitter the lavalier is plugged in to?
If the mic internally records and there’s no SD Card, how are you going to get the audio off to put in the video?
I use a Rode filmaker kit, I tried to buy another one used but they hold their price so well I gave up bidding - so I'll add one of the DJI Mics. That gives me 3 mics. Im hoping thats enough - I rarely have to mic up 4 people
how safe is it? Being that the lav port doesn't have the screw (or twist on) capabilities like those expensive sennheiser mics or like the tascam dr 10l mic.
By any chance are you able to connect any mic to the DJI Mic's input port? Say the older Rode VideoMic Pro shotgun mic?
Love my DJI mic. Glad I moved over from the Rode Go II
Can I connect more than 2 mics to the receiver or do I have to buy 2 sets of receivers and transmitters to be able to record 4 people simultaneously ?
Receiver connected to an iPhone, is there pass through charging capability to keep the iPhone charged while using the receiver?
That 1000 feet away shot works good in nature shots, like when the subject is like standing on a different mountain and camera zooms in on him from 1000 feet away to show how small the person is in front of a big mountain and he keeps talking and than camera zooms out.
Yo man, what lavalier mic do you use with this?
is this mic good for record surroundings such as nature / coffeeshops ambience?
Does the hot shoe receiver work directly through the hot shoe? Sony A6000 does not have a mic port.
Thanks for the cogent info. Quick question - I’ve seen you talk about the Rode Micro on camera shotgun mic as well. I’m going to be photographing coastal wolves on the west coast of BC in May and would like to do some video too. For sound, would you lean to the DJI kit or a small shotgun like the Rode Micro? I’m interested in letting the audience hear the sould as I hear it, and possibly some voiceover. But I want to keep the rustly noise of my paws on the camera and my clothes moving to a minimum. Any auggestions appreciated!

Hi. Would like to ask if the transmitter can actually trigger the camera to start recording while the receiver is plugged in the camera. So it kinda like serves as a wireless shutter? So i can start and stop recording (both from the camera and audio/mic) while from a distance. Not sure if I phrased my question correctly, hopefully it’s not confusing 😅 thank you.
I'm thinking of starting to record some drone related clips would you suggest this system for grabbing voice for such thing, or is it overkill for that purpose? Might find other uses for it down the line
Are these better than Rode me wireless system or rode 2 go
I picked one yesterday.
Anyone know if it’s possible to add a 3rd mic?
