My original Ronin-S still works perfectly for professional work since 2018. I’ll continue to make great works and good money with it until the battery lifespan reaches its end. Never felt the need to switch as it delivers the exact same results as the newer ones and it’s built like a tank. I’ll be happy to switch to the RS4 Pro when the battery dies though, which may not be anytime soon apparently.

When the battery dies just buy a uiversal mounting adapter and power your gimbal with vmount

Great video, that off road sequence is sick!!! Can you share a link for the car mount?

That video at the end of the car was awesome! Just amazing. Did you use anamorphic glass? Did you use Auto Focus as well ogr only manual? One question, how would the lidar module work with native sony glass like 24-70, do you think it could compeat in accuracy and speed, and in manual, do you think it would work. As the Sony GM 24-70 is ficus by wire, but it has electronic infinity and minimum focus, kind of so you can get the focus linear, but it is still very hard to use the focus ring. If I were to use this module, do you think I would get some resistance on the DJI wheel so that it is easier to focus. I like to have some resistance to teh focus ring, but the GM lenses have no resistance. Hope that made sense what I am asking about :-)

Does it have the Dolly zoom option? Because the Rs3 took that away when the rs2 had it

Hi would love to know which car mount system you used for the driving shots as this is really key to keeping the RS4 stable and safe and looks like it worked so well. Is it a combination of products? I see you haven't listed it so wasn't sure of to was home made but I think you said it was $500 :-)

Landon, this is unrelated to the DJI gear but what monitor(s) are you and Parker using to edit video on? I also asked the same question on FFM site.

great video, very informative. Its clear that theres no reason for me to upgrade from the rs3. I'm a single cinematographer using native sony glass, so I don't need stronger motors, lidar, or any of the minor upgrades of this release. saved me $1280.

For the lidar, does the image show up on the little screen without sdi or HDMI? Want to use a Komodo

After watching, I feel overwhelmed with all the "systems" it's trying to integrate. Ido like that it's all proprietary. Def still eyeing the 4d 8k!

Was there no updated GPS module to avoid the momentum angle that happens when moving at high speed? Those high speed shots are amazing, but the angle is off.

Still rolling on my RCS 2 & RS3, sadly DJI didn't convince me enough.

DJI is great innovating. Hopefully they’ll let older gimbals (Rs2Pro) somehow have an access to use newly develop accessories (lidar, etc). Firmware update at least having the capability to use it even losing some other feature. Correct me if I’m wrong or does the new lidar system can be useful with Rs2’s. Car mount scares me, was worried it’ll snap out. Don’t have any experience with car shoots but Ive seen belts with some rigs. Overall, it’s fun watching it. Seeing different rigs and higher quality scenes encourages me to do more, never give up, learn more and keep up on your phase.

Those off-road clips at the beginning look impressive, but I must say the sound doesn't quite match reality. The off-road terrain wouldn't sound like that in actuality. It seems like there's an excessive amount of revving sound added in, which isn't necessary or accurate, I should say. Nevertheless, it's a great review overall.

Isn't the lens a Sirui lens instead of Sigma?

The only downside about KZread is, if you are running an ultra wide screen...LG 34inch 1440p...or similar...this sort of content doesn't stretch out to the maximum it can. Unless this is a KZread Premium only feature.

The sad part is you can do this with the RS3 pro very little improvement without all the add ons

The only thing I'll probably get from this for my RS3 pro is the new vertical mount plates 0:51 , The new battery grip and The focus motors

Do you need the focus motor using the gh6 and lumix 12-35 lens?

Lidar sucks. I've used it on the Ronin 4D. It can only see like 10 feet in front of the camera and even then it hunts. Don't let people who get this shit for free tell you "how great it is." Maybe I'm spoiled coming from Sony's AF.
