For one day each year, millions of people gather in India, Nepal, and other locations around southeast Asia to celebrate Holi. This popular Hindu festival signifies the arrival of spring and is marked by religious rituals, and a dizzying array of paint, color pigments, and water, which strangers indiscriminately smear and spray each other with.
