Sorry some of the shots are OUT OF FOCUS! I was using Single audiofocus instead of Continuous.... my bad. That's why you'll see it slightly out of focus or fully out of focus at times. The focus does work super well on this camera but you have to make sure continuous is left on while you're moving around.

@Today's Adventure You can read the manuals and specs on the DJI site, and the Do-It-All handle has a TRS/TRRS input. You can plug in and use a dual mic setup like the Saramonic Blink which has 2 mics and one receiver. Like most cameras, I don't think the small Pocket was intended for simultanous dual mics on its own. My Sony cameras don't even do that.

I had the Pocket 1 and decided I wasn't using it, so sold it. Then when the 2 came out, some of the new features sounded great. After watching plenty of YT videos, I decided that it was worth re-investing in the new one. I've now had it just a few days and I'm very pleased. And of course, Jeven's video helped make me feel better about spending money on this new one. Thanks.

Ohhh...well done Jeven....one of the best reviews I seen so far - not just about the OP2 - but the review methodology used . This is what all the reviews should include i.e what it can do , for sure , but more importantly ...WHAT IT CAN NOT DO ...!!!. Simple things like " motion - timelapse can not be filmed at 4K "" ..!!! Thank you very much because that is exactly one of the most important reasons I wanted the OP2 for motion timelapses BUT at 4K..!!! after all it says it’s a 4K camera ..!!!and you made it perfectly clear that it can only do motion timelapses at 1080.....!!! note for DJI …” Get your act together “. So one big thanks for that ...!!.. I will NOT be buying the OP2 since sound its irrelevant for my applications .- I will like to know if the speed of the joystick is programmable?? You should consider - due to your experience - to try to find out what settings the camera looks best for cinematics i.e colour , iso, ect ....BTW ...how is the autofocus ??? you did not mentioned .?? In any case ...Well done ..!!! Chheeheeerrrsss...

The best motion timelapse are done by recording video and speeding it up. You can then choose to film in 4K. Also, you can use the active track feature to create really amazing motion timelapses. Remember you can't use the active track feature in 4K at 60fps but it works great at 50fps and below.

@@thuryf Thank you ..!!! I have tried t 50 fps and t works ...so thanksfor that mate ...!!! chheeerrrsss..!!!again ...back to my point ..its so difficult to find this sort of information...uuufffff...thanks again ...!!!...However I think there is abit of contradiction in your statement ...since MOTION TIMELAPSE ..has WAYPOINTS ..and if we film normal 4K video you can not have WAYPOINTS ...right ?? ...the objective is to have ...even in 4K normal video , even at 50 FPS , MOTION WAY POINTS ...and that affraid is a nono ...thanks all the same .

*Alas ! No higher resolution movie output other than regular HD for Time-Lapse and Motion-Lapse video !!! That's a deal breaker for me !!! You get higher resolution Motion-Lapse and Time-Lapse if you are willing to take the stills the camera creates to produce the end result movie, and take those images into an NLE and build them into higher resolution movie sequences, such as 4K, 8K and even 12K (Which is what I've been doing with the OSMO Pocket 1), but that's extremely time consuming, and frankly, it's allot of extra work in post. The GoPro will allow time lapse in 4K movie output straight from the camera.*

Thank's for this video. It answered alot of questions. I was hoping that the wireless adapter would be compatible with the pocket 1 and that the battery life would have been upgraded. I'm always plugging into a portable battery when filming. Would i upgrade to the osmo 2 ??? I probably would just cause i love the gimbal aspect but not impressed with battery life and I will have invested in all the wireless components for the pocket 1 by the time i upgrade.

If you were to choose 1 just for Vlogging purposes, which would you choose: Pocket 2 with their wireless mic or the GoPro 9 paired with Rode Go?

Thanks for the review and the q and a. This cemented my plan to grab a pocket 2. I actually had two 1s (one got caught in a rainstorm long story) and was about to replace it when the two dropped. I had been trying to decide whether to get the extras but now I think I will. Thanks again for the tips!

@@CineZoneYT lol Ill give you the tldr version. Loaned it to my wife who put it on the mantle in the cabin she rented in North Michigan. It rained. Naturally there was a hole in the roof. Naturally the hole was right over the mantle where the pocket was sitting. Naturally no one noticed it until the next morning. Naturally I need to replace it now :P

Just got one today, first tests are great for stability; a different world from the shaky Gopro vids I used to get. Feels very fragile though.

I was interested in getting the Pocket 2 but I ended up buying a Hero 9 when it came out, as I needed a vlogging solution. Pocket 2 looks great, the only negative is the battery life / no replaceable batteries. For reference, I have 4 batteries for the Hero 9, which I’ll use 2-3 on an outing

Jeven, Thanks, as always, for the great video. With the CREATOR COMBO can you WIRELESSLY connect to Pocket 2 [for view, control, active track etc] while SIMULTANEOUSLY using the WiFi Wireless Mic? Or does only one work at a time? And is the Wireless Mic Bluetooth or WiFi? I have heard conflicting info in other videos. And DJI website does not say. BTW, the range comparison compared to the Rode Wireless Go was SHOCKING and FANTASTIC to know. I am buying the Pocket 2 JUST for this simple Wireless solutions without extra cages, adapters, set-up etc. Thanks for your words of wisdom.. Having just bought a Go Pro Hero 9, I was going to skip this, but the Wireless Mic is the gamer changer that made it an INSTANT BUY for me… but I am HOPING it will still work when your are using the iPhone WIRELESSLY to control and monitor pocket. Let me know what your tests have shown. Thanks again. - Eric ZORK Alan [Professional Poet & Bed Vlogger]

Great video. i couldnt fit my hand in the DJI supplied lanyard, so I used one i bought off amazon, Hand Wrist Strap Lanyard, Hukado 6 Pack 9.5 inch. Some people have said 256G micro SD card is max for Pocket 2, but I'm using a 512 with no problem. The case magnets are weak. I lost my iphone adaptor after 1 day. The wind screen for the remote mic doesnt have a solid feel to it when inserted.

Hey, good video. I just purchased the pocket 2 and I want a backpack strap clip for mounting it, any recommendations? If it’s compatible with the first one will it be compatible with the pocket 2? Looking at the physical dimensions it appears that the pocket 2 is slightly larger. Cheers.
