    Outstanding video and topic.I agree with you using an external mic.Why DJI is so weak in the audio is beyond me.At least on the original Osmo they gave us a 3.5mm audio jack.But it was still just mono supported.Your lav mic audio sounded very good.

    Wow dude! Great content! Another subscriber here. I never watched a video this long for just a review, but yours deserve to be watched. I just got my OP and trying to play with it and wanting to master it in low light and fortunately got me on this video. I was wondering besides using neat video @5:20, did you also use it on the rest of the video? Because i find all of your shots were clean with minimal to no noise including your B-Roll. Nweiz thanks for this kind of info man, keep doing this kind of thing and you will help more aspiring videographers with minimal gear in their arsenal. And also your audio were amazing!🤟👊👏

    Dude, this was SUPER ! I understand why this video had to be this long, but is there anyway to do a condense one in 60 seconds? ( I didn't watch all of it, skipped a lot and just watched the SAMPLE clips. That was I needed to see.) just quick facts and show-and-tell with images, not so much as you talking... nothing personal :) Some of us have so little time to watch a long clip. If people want a longer and more detailed explanation, this video is great.... provide a link from the 60 second spot. Keep on shooting and I like your demo clips. PERFECT light and images, is the KEY to a good film as, you were showing.

  • @Drewxcifer

    @Drewxcifer

    4 жыл бұрын

    Good question, I think instead of comparing them that if you have a flagship phone something like the Osmo Pocket would compliment it by doing things a phone can't do. For example there is a big difference between in video stabilization vs. Video being stabilized by a gimbal or other means. Also think about active tracking and motionlapses. The higher end phones out there p40,s20 or 11pro. All have great cameras but they also dont have as many features and cost 3 time's the price of an osmo pocket. Also video from shot on phones will fall apart quickly in the edit whereas if you shoot in d-cinelike on the OP you have a little room to push the image around.(if exposed correctly). If budget allows BOTH is a great option but a phone is ALWAYS just a phone. The OP is a content creation BEAST in the right hands!

    @@Drewxcifer I'm more on the consumer ease of use side not hardcore photography. Consumers like most of those who buys camera centric phones nowadays just want point and shoot cameras that produces amazing photo/video output handlheld. As for me, i dont have the time to tinker and edit the video /photo to make it better, all I am after for is if I could get the best portable point and shoot camera in my hand , especially night/low light video capture really. My 2 yr old phone is still speedy and enough for my needs but has a broken charging port and hence I'm considering on buying a new phone as my current phone sucks at video capture esp. at low light. Even though it would cost me relatively less to have this repaired and just buy a dedicated portable camera like this one or maybe a Nikon P1000, having an all in one device thats for gaming, binge watching and most especially videography in one device weighs higher to me than a portable dedicated device like the Osmo or gopro. Thing is I intend my current phone to be a temporary phone anyway when I bought it two yrs ago. At the moment, I am not even considering getting an OSMO as I'm aiming on flaghship camera phones being released this days as it is what I was I want to have for long term use really as it seems that it could compete with this gimbals as what I could see of it in terms of video quality. But I am curious as to how worth it really to have another device like an Osmo if a flagship phone could produce a much better videography in some cases than this ones. So far in low light I prefer the P40 pro for its great low light capability in video. As for the stability, I think DJI also has a 2-3 axis gimbal that could be used for more stable smartphone photograph and videography. Not to mention motion active tracking and moving timelapses are also in DJIs gimbal for smartphones. Of the those three things you mentioned that is the advantages of getting an osmo or gopro, this could already be found on smartphones using accessories also being provided by DJI too. The only thing left that is of my concern really is how a GoPro or Osmo would par with flagships this days in terms of low light videography. As I've seen low light capabilities of a P40 Pro vs S20 Ultra and iPhone 10 max, it just basically blows those other flagships out of the water in what it can see at night. Or so I thought?, I can't tell really as I havent see such comparisons like ever in YT so far. Hence, I'm really curious as to how this two devices ie. Huawei P40 Pro or Osmo / GoPro would par in low light video as that is the main thing I'm looking for when buying a smartphone, or maybe a gimbal if ever it really is that much better than a flagship phone. Which so far, I cant find a comparison on youtube. :/

    I dont use iphone,I'm a Note 9 user but I would say in general compared to phones the osmo pocket will out perform phones in a few ways. 1) all of the extra features on the osmo i.e the gimbal, tracking mode, form factor. 2) the osmo pocket can be shot in different modes, one being d-cinelike which gives you a nice flat profile perfect for grading. Also the OP has the ability to do motion time lapses, hyperlapse , and 4k 60 & 1080 120fps. All for around $300. Its a great buy in my opinion and I try to always keep mine with me.
