Video quality is amazing!

Excited to have this camera.

Is it possible to vlog continuously by switching between horizontal and vertical orientations without pauses, or does it require shooting in only a specified orientation? And Can we continuously record from both the forward and backward sides without pausing by tapping the joystick three times?

Lets hope ulanzi makes a cage with the dji magnetic action mount on the bottom and a magnetic lid for the gimbal. They should work together and be sold together and individually.

Totally frustrated here by the SD card issue. I have what they told me to use, but it will not click in. What am I doing wrong? is there a special SD card I need to buy?

Can you use any external charger bank to charge while recording? Wondering for those that got standard version

Yes can. Not recommended as it ruins the battery. It has fast charge anyway. 30 mins u will be good

I’ll be glad when they’ll sell the mic2 by itself I ordered the wrong kit and they wouldn’t exchange it. I do have the new DJI mic kit.

The Kit is way better than the Mic 2 in my opinion.

it;s really a little beast, but one most imp thing missing IPX RATING

Sharpness looks fine. I think if I need it to be less sharpened I'd rather soften it in post. The mist filter makes the highlights bloom which is an affect I could do without on some occasions.

I suppose it’s all personal preference the sharpness goes to -2 it think for my taste -3 if it were available would be just right.

@@thefullsetup the video looked fine. The most impressive feature which is hardly talked about and what I keep noticing is the dynamic range. Yea the stabilization looks great, the one inch sensor is cool and the tracking and phase detection and Log profile is all brilliant. But mate take a look at some shots on youtube where people are walking through tunnels or inside to outside shots. It looks so good. Try it. Focus on that particular aspect and let me know what you think.

@@JWS1968 “the one inch sensor is cool” the one inch sensor is why it has good dynamic range. Larger pixels = better DR and low light performance.

Only downside is that the auto track that close to your face is a little strange, reminds me of the nauseating effect you get while wearing a VR headset... Strange. Other than that, a great little unit! Think I'll stick with my Z30 and DJI RS3 Mini for now.

It looked okay on the pocket screen but I agree it does look a little odd when I had it full screen on a monitor.

Too bad that they didn't make the screen tilt which was more valuable that switch it from portrait to landscape especially for video bloggers.

Can you use the black Pro mist with the wide-angle lens

Really interesting, look forward to seeing the video footage soon, only thing I don’t like is no weather proofing 🙄 What does it regularly do in the U.K. rainnnnn 🫣 ……lol I do have an a Osmo Action 4 on the way but I really like the look of the pocket DJI

Very few people finally do vlogs

I am gonna start youtube travel vlogging soon. My budget is around 800$ and I need to buy gears (camera and stuffs). Should I go for this? Or you have better recommendations?

What phone do u have? If u have like iPhone 13 or up, with your budget just get a gimble instead . With $800 budget, you won’t be able to get far my friend. If you don’t have a decent phone, just grab the OP3

Yes! It’s so worth it! You get an amazing Mic that has the receiver already built into the camera once you turn on mic it automatically connects to the Camera, if your battery is dying you automatically connect that extra battery, and the other extras you get are worth it!

Shame you did not finish the video with the follow mode and it on a the tripod. Do you live in a dodgy area as you keep looking around and that was the reason to not set it up on a park bench. 😉

Someone please explain to me why it's necessary to blur the background in film and photography? I don't understand. Thanks

It is considered to be more "cinematic" (urgh... this is used way to often) and to look more professional. The seperation between the subject and the background looks better most of the time, gives a bigger focus to the subject and eliminates distracting objects in the background. Also Bokeh looks quite nice and is something photographers/videographers LOVE!

The main idea is you are telling a story. That story has a subject. Controlling the blur separates the subject so the viewer can more easily understand what you are trying to portray. It’s a concept I’ve used a lot in my photography and it’s worked pretty well.

It's not an effects. It is how optics works. Try looking at your phone then try if you can see clear on far away objects. The reality is our eyes are almost comparable to a 20mm lens and those lens behave like that, it cannot focus on everything. The reason why you can see almost everything on most action camera is because they have wider field of view, like 10mm. A lot of aspect still affects it.

I don't understand why everyone hates sharpness. I like it. Also, I don't understand 25 fps for motion blur. I hate blur.

It makes jutter apparent at lower frame rates, motion blur reduces this. To have sharp smooth video, you need to record at higher frame rates but people find this unappealing to watch vlogs in

I shoot my youtube contents with iPhone. So I had to reduce the contrast and sometimes put a blur layout at 1% just to make them look softer like film.

Pocket is way more fun to use for talking heads and daily vloggers. It has active tracking. Go Pro is an action camera.

Both the go pro and osmo action do look great in good lighting with the action 4 doing better in sun light. But with both of those cameras especially for vlogging talking head. Your actually cropping massively into the already smaller sensors after stabilisation and then add linear/flat mode on top of that. The action 4 has a 12mp sensor so after all the cropping your bit actually getting a true 4k image.

The gimbal is more stable than the stabilization on action 4 (I have one). Video quality is better too. Probably also lighter than action 4 mounted on a stick.

Just ask yourself the good question : are you really use that camera ? It’s a gadget you use once and then you drop it inside a drawer…

I think you’ve all been sucked in by a photography fashion! Strangely every reviewer seems to think these videos need to be softened!!! Is this because you want smoother skin or because all that bokeh causes a perceptual bias? And when I glance away at that beautiful background why can’t I see it in focus? In real life I could see you and look away at the background and see it clearly too. Maybe this is great for vlogging and I’m sure the night capture is good but this isn’t just portrait photography is it? Don’t you ever want to see the surroundings?

Is it just me or does this guy talk painfully slow? Had to watch on 1.25 cus it was too much
