What pushed me over the edge was coming back home from a week’s travel adventure and my bloody GoPro dated all the files 1-1-1970 11:59 am. Never mind the camera had the correct time and date. Chuck into the overheating, the frequent freezing and the never connecting to the stupid app…. My Osmo Pocket 2/3 just worked out of the box and I’m hoping for the same with the Action 4.

I read the cage comes with it has restrictions to using the camera? Great review, im afraid to take my out of the box😮!

Haven’t really used it indoors as I have the zv-e1 for studio work. Been loving using it outdoors though compact, easy to use and great image and battery life perfect little travel camera. I can get similar results with my iPhones on a gimbal but I just like having my phone in my pocket.

Same here, I have a few issues with using a phone …… iPhone 8 Plus, it’s ok but I made a few mistakes like only getting a 64GB memory 🙄 I think though people need 4 or 5 plus different items, a good phone anddd different camera’s depending obviously on what they want to do with their channel or different channels. I’m wanting to produce some good quality Relaxation channels so I guess it’s a Must have for good quality equipment, cameras, external microphones, recording equipment Etc

How does the video quality compare to iPhone 14 pro max? Maybe I can get the dji osmo mobile

Does the adventure combo not come with waterproof case for scuba diving?

No sadly it doesn’t I would recommend the smallrig one 😀

The plastic rings I think are washers to go where you screw your camera to your stick hinge so it so the camera doesn't droop down easy.

I think they've had to introduce this as a pretty poor "fix" for the issue they've introduced by replacing the nice textured rubberised pad on the bottom of the Action 3 with the cheaper (but at an inflated price - go figure!) non-textured base which means the camera doesn't grip the way it should. There's a nice demo from another reviewer placing the Action 3 and the Action 4 on a slightly sloping arm of a polished wood armchair. The Action 3 stays in place. The Action 4 just slides down the arm and won't stay still. Poor design! @@thefullsetup

Is the stick waterproof?

I believe the four circle stickers are for the base of the camera for slightly better grip when using underwater cage or other accessories. It’s strange that every review of this camera for vlogging is about the adventure kit and nobody has posted a review of the more specific vlogging kit.

That makes sense I think I’ve already lost them little sticker😂 The vlogging kit is just the standard action with a Dji mic. No extra batteries or selfie stick which is odd for such an expensive kit.

The four circular stickies are for between the "fingers" on the mount as some mounts are a loose fit and these fill the gap allowing you to not overtighten the mounting screw and cause breakage or deformity✅ lots of spare 3rd party mounts come with them, hth 👍😉😎

@@thefullsetup I hadn't twigged that the vlogging kit didn't come with the battery case and spare batteries as something I read somewhere implied all the kits came with it. It means the "bundle" doesn't save you any money at all - in fact it's a penny more than if you bought the items separately. No wonder nobody's interested in it!

@@agger964 Sorry but that's not right. Here's the official word from DJI: "The blue sticker is called the anti-slip mat. You may use them if the acessory and the Quick Release Adapter Mount are not firmly connected."

Can the stick be attached to a wristband on the bottom to prevent it from being snatched from my hand?

It has a mounting hole for the lanyard, but mine didn't come with the lanyard itself.

It’s a small rig action 3 cage you can get them off Amazon/eBay

Do you know if they sell a Zoom Lens with it? Kinda like they do for cell phones where you screw it on?

Hi, i want to ask about ( 09:10 ) the plastic washers? What is it for? No where i can't found any explanation about them. ???

Is it just me or the dji osmo 4 packaging is not as secured as the go pro 12 packaging. I mean will it not break during transport? If the box fall accidentally, the go pro is safer.

It looks with Action 4 we don't need gimbal

That's not a hot shoe. That's a cold shoe.

@@shanehubbardcreator A hot shoe makes a data and power connection when slide the device into the shoe. A cold shoe just provides an attachment spot for the device. You will have to run a USB or 3.5 mm TRS cable from the device to the jack.

Exchangeable battery Exchangeable memory Not filling up phone storage Much more durable Maybe safer from stolen in some area No notification Keep dedicated between phone and camera Ofc, it's not a must. If having phone is enough, it is enough, no need more action cam.
