    Thanks for the video! I too was struggling with vibration ever since I got my O3. I also did the same thing this video suggested (good solid frame and props, camera soft mount, ESC 96kHz PWM, etc.). Now my O3 videos are buttery smooth.

    I knew about that PWM fix before but until today never got it fixed. After watching this video I did the 48 and by RPM change and it finally works after months of not using rocksteady! Thanks again. btw I think I like it more without when I do wild sexytime night runs....I really don't need the smoothness when all I'm doing is ripping balls in el pollo loco parking lot. but still thanks!

    @@MadRChello sir! I took the screws out of my Geprc Mark 5 to adjust camera angle of O3 unit, I set it as I wanted, now I wanna put the screws back ( they are all exactly same, 4x ) and they just stuck half way??? Like I can screw them back in just a little bit and then they both stay in the same spot leaving like 3mm gap to the actual drone. I tried to push a bit heavier but no help and also don’t wanna try pushing really hard and break the camera lol. What is going on? Please help me I beg you I’m losing my mind I got this drone 7th day now and I still wasn’t out flying cos there is ALWAYS a problem. I just finally charged my bats, set everything on Beta Flight and now this💩. Omfg….

    I have multiple 03 setups and in one case the IMU was damaged and I had to get a replacement O3 unit. The way I finally realized this was that it was not giving me a level horizon in Gyroflow when choosing lock horizon even when the quad wasn't flying.

    Thanks for all the great tips. My issue was the PWM frequency, went away when I changed it to 48 kHz. Was not noticible at all in the unstabilized footage. If it helps anyone, my issue presented itself as "jiggling" in the roll axis when stabilizing the footage in Gyroflow. This was on my Nazgul Evoque F5 V2 BNF.

    I have been tightening the screws on my cameras without taking the camera completely apart. They have been just a little loose on all of them. I’m getting good results even on some frames that don’t have the camera mounted with TPU mounts.

  • @clifffield1

    Am I missing something here with regards to the PWM frequencies? I would have thought that just doubling one, to be twice the other, that there'd still be some form of frequency resonance or interplay.

    I was having vibrations issues on my Aos 5 03. I changed the PWM frequency to 48kHz and it didn’t help. Then I took the camera apart and put some glue under the lens barrel and now it is smooth. Dji support said I could send it in and they will “help fix it” I asked them if I’d have to pay anything and I got a second reply “we’ll help fix it” so I did it myself.

    I have had two cameras that the lens got completely loose after having flown in cold weather. Near or below freezing temperatures seems to have knocked the adhesive loose and the lens was freely jiggling on the threads. I had to use glue to adhere the lens again to resolve the issue.

    @@dennisklein3574 hey not sure if you tried it yet but I gave it a go last night. If using CA glue try to huff on the camera (for moisture) or a quick spray of IPA before application. My CA glue didn't dry after 12 hours or so then i sprayed some IPA on it and it dried in 20 minutes. I don't know what plastic is used on the o3 lens but CA glue did not readily adhere and dry to it.

    I had bad jello on my O3 unit -visible in the recorded video but not in the goggles. After quite a bit of messing about I discovered the jello went away if I toggled the EIS setting from RockSteady to Off. That’s a lot easier than dismantling the camera or altering the camera mount, so I’d suggest trying it first.

  • @tienduy12345

    @tienduy12345

    That's exactly why people was watching this video for. Gyro data jittering only matter when you turn EIS on or using Gyroflow to stabilize a footage. If you don't care about using O3's footage then you just turn off EIS, this video is not for you.

    FIRST OF ALL: checking the lens ! hardware first and this will include the lens or cam mount. this is #1 rule since i fly fpv from 2008. after the focus issue with the action 3 and what dji said about that i dont trust them any more. dont want to screw up my esc settings with 48 or higher at the low end. thats just crazy dumb and not solving the problem, where it is. if the gyro inside does best with a soft mount something is really wrong.

  • @gregdavidd

    Thanks for the video. I am having trouble changing to the 48hz. If I use the version of BLHeli you have it says "esc not supported". If I use version BLHeliSuite16714903 it wont detect the drone at all. If I use the BL Heli Configurator I don't see those PWM settings at all. I have an iFlight Alpha A85.

    You might consider trying Bluejay ESC firmware... Bardwell has a good video on the topic... Web based configurator worked well for me.

  • Жыл бұрын

    Means you have a blheli S ESC, use the web based configurator and install bluej firmware, select the pwn you want during the firmware selection you can't just change it at will it has to be flashed.

    Even if everything is perfect Rocksteady gives me micro stutter while recording. It is very obvious during playback and during flight to me. When Rock steady off on same flight all is smooth flight video and recording. As said if RS is off and the vibration is not there than its not my frequency nor faulty camera. There is something more going on.

  • @shortfilipinoguy

    From what I believe, the vibration from the 24kHz frequency is messing with how the o3 gyro data is recorded. I had the same experience as you until I got a 3d printed camera mount replacement for my AOS5.5 and change the PWM frequency. I also captured a flight without the change in PWM frequency with the "soft mount," and the stutters were still present but definitely not as shaky as recorded video without those 2 changes.

  • @assafweiss8078
    @assafweiss80789 ай бұрын

    The silicon replacement mounts are a really poor design. You cant really secure the camera angle when tightening a screw against a soft silicone pad, they need to change the whole aluminum mount too so that the screws are tightened against a solid aluminum surface and the silicone pads are sandwiched between the camera and the aluminum mount.
