Great tutorial Otto ( like all of yours). I am very envious of seeing how you can enjoy flying a drone and filming such beautiful images, tracking people, etc. because unfortunately, where I live it is very difficult to obtain permits to fly and where you can fly is in places that normally do not have much interest. Although I don't think I'll ever own a drone, I enjoy watching your videos and the advice you give us. Thank you for all your work in teaching us.

Gosh, I have watched about a dozen how to with the Mini 4 Pro, and I must say, yours's outstanding. After using Autels for several years, I was bummed out when my battery gave out on my older drone to learn they did not offer any more nor could I purchase one. Which made me switch to the DJI. NOW I just sent back the New Mini 4K, it was definitely not my Autel that I was use to. The Mini 4K didn't connect to the controller with my iPhone 15 Pro using the cord DJI cord provided, So after being with customer service for about 15 mins and on hold off n on while they were trying to figure out why I could get connected, I decided to use my Apple USB-C cord to see if the DJI cord was bad. SURE ENOUGH...Once I connected the proper cord, Walla. Anyway the Mini 4K was sent back and my new Mini 4 Pro is in transit. Thanks again....... Kudo's 2 U.. JC

I've been using H.265/HEVC for years since it claims to half the file size (vs H.264) while maintaining the same video quality. Do you know if that's the case recording with the Mini 4 Pro? Thanks for sharing. How do I cancel the fly home option? I'm afraid that while climbing, it'll automatically go to the fly home option. I don't want that. I bought this for the follow me function while solo climbing. I got the landing pad to make it easier.

I'm a bit confused by your question, but if it starts to go home and you want it to stop, press the cancel (pause button) on the controller.

Well done introductory tutorial... do you have a more indepth tutorial video that delves into all features in more detail with examples in flight? Thanks for your consideration on this if you don't have them. Also, where did you buy your Freewell Filters? Amazon?

Thanks Otto - great video for beginners and for someone like me who has just upgraded to the Mini 4 Pro. Quick question to you regarding the exporting options. I used a couple of quickshots and the mastershot video option today and when I went into the album section, there is the option to create a video using some templates (for the mastershot) and also create a quickshot video, but it tells me that I need to download the video first into my mobile phone in order for it to create these customs videos. Is there a way to generate these videos (Mastershot using one the the supplied templates) and these short quickvideos without having to download the full video first into my mobile phone ? I want to avoid using my mobile phone storage.

Thanks for the feedback! video must be downloaded because the app will need to work/export directly from that file. If storage is a concern, then download, edit, and then delete the original file (it should still be on the memory card)

@@OttoJulian_ but as far as I understood, those short version quickshots and mastershots that the app suggests when you are pre-viewing the video in the RC remote are only available from the DJI Fly app, correct? Can I still generate these short videos from the app onde they videos have been downloaded into the mobile phone? Another question is regarding the MicroSD card slot on the RC2 controller. What is it for? I inserted the drone Micro SD card into this slot and the controller said it is not compatible

RC 2 does not support playback of those videos (I don't know why) and you need to open them inside your smartphone. Once you transfer them you can edit or do almost anything that you want with them. The microSD slot on the controller is used if you want to record your screen. The one that goes inside the drone is the one that will hold the original video files. Don't use this SD card inside the controller.

Why can't I post my downloaded videos to FB? 4k resolution. But for the 1080p 60fps is fine?

the memory inside the drone is the one that saves the video or pictures you take. The one that you use inside the controller (this is optional) can record what you see on your screen but this is low resolution.

Why can't you turn the drone on when the gimbal cover is on and the arms are folded? Seems ok to do so when you just want to connect your phone and download the videos. If there was smth wrong with turning it on the manufacturer would make some sort of protection against power on in folded state, right?

the manual clearly states to remove the gimbal cover. This is because when you turn the Mini 4 on, it does a gimbal check. This means that it starts to move around and rotates. With the gimbal cover it can't do that. Regarding the arms, I never said that you can't turn it on with the arms folded, I showed a guide to prepare to fly

Hello, thanks for the startup instructional sir. Very well done and straight to the point, no wasted words, im impressed. 🙂 I have a question if you may? Im trying to setup my new mini 4 pro and seem unable to download the go fly app on play store to my galaxy A53 5G Samsung android phone from there after following the qr codes on the box and manual. I remember a friend once gave me a link to a site i could download it fir a used dji spark i was given and spoke of problems using play store to get it but i don't have it still. Is it something like that perhaps? And would you have the link to share maybe? I also tried setting up the controller after giving up with that and i created a new account and verified email, setup a new password, it took it and verified...so i went back to login and entered that email and new password and did the security test thing, entered the exact password I'd just created.....and it says its incorrect! 🤪 I retried many times. Same result! I know its correct though. Anyway i eventually tried "forgot password", chose email verification and that same email address. It accepted and said it had sent a verification email to this address. I checked. Nothing. Checked everything, spam etc. Nothing. Waited. Nothing. After awhile i repeated it frim the "forgot password" part. Same thing, and no verification email. So i cant move past that part on the controller and cant download the app on my phone, or the photo editing app it recommended i get with dji fly. So, am at a standstill and stuck, and very frustrated and dissapointed. Tried dji website chat but none the suggestion they give worked. HELP? 😟😂 But seriously any advice or assistance on what to do or how to get help would be most appreciated, id compensate generously even? Regards
