Just bought my first drone and having watched a few videos I find yours to be the easiest to follow, most logically edited and very informative. This is a great video. It really taught me that there is no one present for settings when flying a nice drone. The array of settings allows you to change the behavior of your drone according to the environment you’re flying in.

Great video! And... darn you! My GF got me a Mini 3 for my bday (been an R/C heli pilot for almost 2 decades). It was an inexpensive off-brand that didn't work (she had no way of knowing), but her heart was golden with the intent to get me further down the drone road, having played with a Horizon Hobby Zeyrok the past few years. So, after frustration with the cheaper drone and looking for answers on YT, I came across one of your Mini 3 videos. 24 hours later, Amazon delivered it. 😆 I was amazed at how easy it was to use.... going out of sight and over the woods to the nearby lake... filming the kiddo riding his bike... buzzing around the subdivision. And then I saw one of your Mini 3 Pro vids. I realized the integrated screen and collision detection / subject tracking feature was an absolute must. Then I realized that heck, why would I get an older model? So I watched a few Mini 4 Pro vids on your channel. DARN YOU! What started as a $100 fun bday present has turned into a new $1500 hobby (including accessories). 😆😆😆 The Mini 4 Pro should be arriving any moment now. But seriously, thanks for putting together a ton of GREAT vids. Everyone has it right below with how you get to the point without repetition, fluff, and unnecessary time logging for metrics sake that many YT'ers do. Your time is filled with extremely valuable content that's helping people understand a fairly complex piece of equipment that would otherwise require a lot of extra watch time with lesser quality vids (including those from DJI). When I fired up my Mini4Pro after receiving it last week (which I bought directly from DJI France, with Care Refresh), I was taken immediately through a simple procedure that activated the Care Refresh and Flyaway. I didn't have to initiate it, it just happened. I was extremely impressed because, with my Mini3Pro that I bought 18 months ago from a French dealer, setting up Care Refresh was a nightmare.

I can't believe it. I completely missed the 48mp option and was shooting at 12 🤦‍♂️ no wonder my images didn't come out very well Sheesh. Also funny side note, the auto generated captions kept showing the word "drawing" every time you said "drone." lol must be that thick accent! Keep up the great vids!

About to get this from Best Buy should I get extra coverage from best buy or dji

Remember, in the US, if you make money off your drone, or even use it for a free service that could be provided by a person commercially, you are no longer considered 'recreational' and are required to register your drone and fly fully under Part 107. This may even include just posting drone videos to KZread as you can become monetized with enough views (private posting should be ok though). I mention this because most KZread UAV video posters seem to think everyone uses their drones as a revenue source and neglect to mention that recreational flyers must not do these things in the US.

Cine, Normal, and Sport modes only change how fast the drone moves it doesn't affect any settings

When you select return to home, does the drone fly home in the speed your currently in. Like cine or normal or sport mode? Or does it pick the speed?

The very first and only time I crashed my Mini 3 Pro was against a wall while flying side ways, it wouldn't have happened if it was the Mini 4 Pro. Do you think it's worth to upgtade? At this point I'd very much like having 360 sensors, but I am not so sure about the money I'd need to put in, maybe wait for Mini 5?

I tried to put all your tips in practice but my exporting time for premier pro is so long/premier pro is lagging so much... i'm just exporting a 20sec clip but the encoding is taking forever. do you have a special computer or workaround for this? im working on a macbook air

First Drone I got for Xmas was Ruko F11GIM2, a really good drone, for the price it's a really good drone but 560g and I was fed up being on Google Maps with the ruler looking at where I could or could not go, first flight was in a field, but excellent footage 4K. But returned it and got the DJI Mini 4 Pro 3 days ago, I have my Opp ID and Flyer ID ands I have basically set it up but due to the Fecking British weather not tested it, I have taken notes and will review once weather is better.

Do both the drone and controller has to be on for the settings change?

Is there a preset time that it will return also if the battery is low? Thanks

H265 can also contain 10bit color informations where as h264 only do 8bit.

Mattheww, excellent tutorial as always👍. I do have a question regarding the M4P’s ability to handle windy 🌬️ conditions and was hoping that you might have some insight on how to handle the issue. Just this week I was flying VLOS over a small pond in a 15mph +/- wind and found that the drone was struggling when I wanted it to descend from an altitude of 100 ft. At times it ascended even though I was on full stick descend mode. Kinda made me a bit concerned thinking the drone was not receiving the signal… Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. To fly at this speed of wind, you need a heavier drone. 15m/h is too strong for this tiny beast. In EU, it's not recommended to fly a drone at 7 m/h.

I have the mini 2 se, my attitude indicator is only showing the homepoint and drone symbols but no controller symbol. The only time I can get a symbol is if I turn locations on in the phone settings but I find that this can be unreliable as sometimes this can move around if I don't get a good fix.

Hello, I want to get this drone soon, apparently all drones after 01/01/24 will have max altitude of 120 as opposed to 500m. Will I be able to bypass this, me buying the mini 4 pro will be determined by your answer.
