I glanced at the "distance" reading a few times as I watched this, so I decided to watch it again and ONLY focus on that reading. And ???!!! That thing stayed within 10 feet of perfect vertical all the way up... to beyond a mile high... and never got more than 10 feet away from perfectly straight up. I find that as amazing as the shear height.

Care este altitudinea maxima la care poate urca? Sau este limitata doar de legatua de comunicatie dintre drona si controler? Este interesant cum sunt imagilile pe vreme senin. Nu m-ar fi tentat vre-un hack daca ramanea plafonul de 500m dar acum dupa ultimul update a fost coborat la 120m... Este ca si cand ai un Porsche si nu mai ai voie legal cu 130Km/h (adica 500m) trebuie sa conduci cu maxim 60Km/h (adica 120m). Da, sunt constient ca in unele zone si 60m altitudine exista riscuri dar in acele zone mai bine nu zbori dar cand in jur ai dealuri sau munti si nu poti vedea de la 120m dacat tot acel deal pe care il vezi cu ochiul liber ce rost mai are o drona de 800$+ iti iei una de jucarie si te invarti cu ea in jurul tau.

it’s strange how a km horizontal seems like nothing while the same distance going vertical just turns the idea of distances upside down!

No they do not have a radar to catch you. I mean unless you're really stirring up shit they don't screw with most people. I mean I suppose your DJI app holds your info but I've never had a problem. But I also can't get over the 500 meters and it's pissing me off but I do fly as high as I can over the 120 m.

thats just a limit set in the app, it can be changed to higher or even limitless, then technically its only limited to controller ranger which is effected by wind and other weather conditions,

You can either pay for a software to jail break your drone too go as high/far as you want or you can apply for something from DJI that allows you to go above the limit

actually, satellites are fined turned to work more on the ground. The higher you go, the less coverage you get. That's why you don't have sat coverage when you try to use it in your phone when you are in an airplane at cruising altitude.

@@ArtAtomicStudio agricultural planes fly at under 200 feet when applying and not much higher than that when returning to fill. Those and ultralights. Doing this is stupid and he didnt get permission from the FAA to do so and this is a crime. Anyways…

good effort . but still WAY TOO LOW. , my phantom 4 got to 4,2 km in Altitude. due to battery restricted for me to go higher. but with you if you put the 47 minutes battery in it. I am sure you can make it to 6 kms in height. Hey. at least you tried. . good to watch. but another advise for you . when you want go for altitude . pick a clear day with no cloud . that willl be nice to see. cheer

Not smartest thing to do . I love flying my drone, have all the licenses and insurance to fly in the Uk both non or commercial. Acts such as this won’t help us . Could cause a tragic accident

Jetliners fly at around 39-60000 feet do hes not even 1/10 that height and chances of a small plane going across his path at that exact same time way out in the country away from any airports is 1 in a billion so you have a better chance of killing people with your car while driving texting or smoking pot, or driving after taking a perk for a sore back that the doctor gives you or burning the country side down after throwing a cigarette butt out the window or releasing Chinese laterns on holidays that could easliy get hit by a plane or catch a forest on fire. People dont reallize they do stuff everyday that can kill people and is extremly stupid and unsafe they're just not called out on it because they think everything they do can do no harm and flying a drone above 50 meters is the most irresponsible and worst thing you can ever do which in reallity is the kettle calling the pot black.
