Drone can broke itself because of flying that high?

I didn't see anyone make this comment so I will add it. In the US, if you're a certified drone pilot, you can fly 120m higher than the thing you are inspecting as long as you are within 120m of it. There are other regulations such as airport airspace and weather conditions that could keep you from legally reaching that altitude, but in theory, we could fly 120m higher than a 380m tower, in the US.

I really would not risk that around here, UK. Had an RAF Puma fly over here yesterday at 365m and Police helicopter regularly in the area at 245m. Nice view though.

I live out in the country and used to walk down the road and i was well over 150m from the nearest house and then fly the drone never gone above 400ft but, but now i'm nervous about flying becasue since the first lock down I appear to be on the flight path for Apache attack helicopters and they dont fly more than 200ft over my house.

This is pretty incredible, but I’m certainly not taking mine up that high!

@@djcranium1210 yes it can, you just have to set the maximum altitude in the Fly App menu because it comes at 120m default.. Just slide it all the way to the end to 500m and then the Mini can fly to max altitude of 500m. Sweet PS: I have a few flights to 500m altitude on my channel.. 😁🇧🇬🛸

Why is everybody complaining about him flying “dangerous” ? Yes the law says Max 120 m in altitude, but if its in a area where no airplanes are flying. What could go wrong? A drone of an unbelievable 249g could fall out of the sky.

Let's just say you fly your drone to high and it disconnects from your remote. What does the drone do then? Does it land at the spot it took off from, automatically?

Bought my drone yesterday took it up to 700 feet like 240 meters today but it was worth the pics and videos

I did this the other day, it’s a pretty cool feeling.

Nice to see these images. However, I would not do it in a populated area. And never so high, without knowing that no aircraft would fly around.

De wet is trouweens 120 meter. Ik zou wel op passen. Er zijn karens die 112 bellen en dan kom je met een boete van 200-5000 thuis. Maar lekker vliegen 😝😉

Nederland is vanaf 01-01-2020 maximum hoogte 120 meter. Ik zou het nu niet nogmaals doen. Zeer gevaarlijk en de schade bij botsing met andere vliegtuigen is onvoorstelbaar groot. Weet dat je sowieso onverzekerd bent als je je niet aan de regels houdt.

@@MrPolleke1949 als zo’n vliegtuig op 150 meter hoogte vliegt dan hoor je dat duidelijk en zie je dat ook. Deze drone weegt 238 gram dan is 10 x zo licht als een vogel. Veel gevaar levert deze drone niet veel met zich mee. Maar je hebt gelijk en moeten de regels altijd respecteren.

I live near the hill that is about 480 meters high. I reach it in 5 minutes and when I fly over it i'm only 20 meters from the ground. No law is broken and... You see, that is where it comes inhandy.😄 Oh, and if you tap that warning on the screen, it dissappears.😉

Max height in Denmark is 120m but that's ok. I can live with that.

Can't wait to take my Mini 2 to the country side so I fly this bird all the way up to 500m! I've only flown over dense urban areas until now... Amazing view!

lol 4000m is take off altitude. 500m is max above the ground

Please make sure you learn the law before you fly. There's really not many rules to learn, they are very easy to find, and they keep people safe. The app even warns you that you shouldn't be doing this. After 7 years of restrictive rules, they have finally been relaxed so that we can fly more freely, whilst still being safe. There are some rules that won't change - one of the most important is the height restriction. Above 500ft, general aviation takes over. So the legal limit is 400ft for drones so you don't hit a plane. And no, there isn't really any good evidence of what happens when a drone hits a Cessna 152, but a bird strike can smash the windshield easily.

This shows a massive lack of understanding. Across Europe, above 500ft is for general aviation, under VFR rules. Lots of small planes keep below 3000ft to stay clear of cloud. And it looks like you are in class E airspace above 1500ft, so there's plenty of reason for light aircraft to stay below 1500ft. It doesn't matter that you haven't seen a plane lower than that. You have no way of knowing - how would you? Light aircraft don't broadcast their altitude. Just learn the law and obey it, or in a few years time we won't be able to fly at all.

"Technically" It could easily go beyond that its just limited by software. I've seen a video of someone bypassing it.

Yes this is the max hight it goes here.....! No that ain't the hight the law permits to fly! The max sealing in the Netherlands is 120meter high and no more. Because the airspace right above that is uses for private flight. Like small private airplanes and helicopters....hot airbalo...

The radar is OK if you calibrate the phone orientation. It's enough to do 360° turns with the phone horizontal and then vertical, you'll see after that it's way better.

@@ron9509 Nee hoor, hij kan wel 3500 meter halen voordat de batterij zegt dat je terug moet. Het hangt er een beetje vanaf of er dingen tussen jou en de drone in staan en of er andere signalen van wifi of iets anders in de buurt zijn. Ik vind het bereik van de mini 2 echt uitzonderlijk goed voor zo'n klein ding
