I just got my mini 2. I'm 68 and as a kid always wanted an RC airplane, but never did. I had watched about 12 other videos before finding this one. I'm trying to film video through some trees and branches for a video trailer for my upcoming launch of my novel. I just want to thank you for this video - the clearest, most to the point, most practical I have found. I've been trying to figure out how to slow things down for my project, and had seen others talk about the advanced gimbal settings. But, for me, this video of yours is gold. Thanks - I subscribed and liked. I am truly grateful. PS - the other thing that impresses me is that it appears you actually respond to your followers that comment - again - good show, keep up the good work.

I'm 50 & in a Wheelchair & also always wanted actually a Remote controlled car back back in the 70's Santa could bring Me 1 🤣 I can now go places my Wheelchair can't take Me, I live in Derry so I'm sure I'll bump into Mr Drone Creative👍

Good tips. JPEG+RAW is great for static images. The recycle time for the shutter could be too slow for many moving objects.

I also started on 25 fps and after repeated attempts at trying to fix the jitter, and one attempt buying ND filters as thought that was causing it (maybe party so), finally switched to 30 fps and issue resolved immediately. 25fps is too low to remove jitter without an extreme wrapping FX. Keep the frame-rate and shutter high and use an ND filter in reference to ISO to control light coming in on the sensor. This grant you the ability to lower frame-rates to a smooth cinematic 24fps. You don’t have to mess with ISO if you have an adjustable ND filter in which I have no clue if you make them for drones.

Thank you! I'm new to drones and just shot my first footage. Came out pretty low quality and I was wondering why. Totally forgot to change settings to 4k and recorded it on 1080p 24fps. Def starting off with your settings and tweak little bit as i get more comfortable.

Awesome video as always. Thank you oh so much for your info. Will be trying this out when I use my drone. Only had mine about 3 weeks and not properly used yet due to some bad weather. Only chance I had was easter bank holiday weekend. Bacicly straight up in tripod mode I believe it is. Got a few photo's and a short 2 and a half minute video with it just in one spot and turning on the spot. Not moved around much. I am a total beginner and these video's are really usefull and helpful for people like me and others in the same situation. Thank you oh so very much.

Great settings. SAves a ton of time. I know basics on a DSL so this speeds the learning curve.

Do you do anything with the Expo settings under ‘advanced’ setting? The reason I ask is it seems a better way to get smooth control when the sticks are close to the centre but still allows you to get the full speed of movement when sticks are hard over.

Love the settings apart from the yaw speed, find the yaw to be too fast whilst doing an orbit, knocked it down to 28

The maximum recommended operating temperature from DJI is 40°C and the drone gets quite hot normally anyway. Fingers crossed for cooler weather in the next few days and some serious ‘droning’ 👍🏼😊

Hello Mattheww Brennan, I have a question. Today I've tried to change pitch and yaw settings as yours, but first I switched from metric to imperial units. Now can't get back to metric, I have only degrees/second. How to get it back, do you know by any chance?😁

I had thought 16:9 gave me more information, but MB correct, 4:3 uses the most of the sensor's pixels, 16:9 is cropped from th 4:3 image. Thanks, MB.

Thanks for the great video. Quick question. When you reset your camera parameters with the button at the bottom of the camera menu, does your drone automatically restart? There is a box that pops up and it say your aircraft will restart automatically. But it does not seem to. TIA.

Very informative video - thanks for that. As a total beginner with a drone I shall be experimenting with these settings. I have a question though and that is, once set are these settings sticky or do they revert (reset) when the drone is turned off?

These settings don't revert when you turn off/on the drone - but you can reset them back to defaults if needed. I would recommend going out and trying these settings and then tweaking them to your preferences. Have fun!

That was a good information. Do you think if, by setting it to Auto mode, you can get a lesser clear footage than manual. I have been recording with auto setup in 4k 30fps, but i am totally disappointed with the sharpness output. I use filmora x for editing. Could u do a video on Filming Auto mode and editing in filmora to get crisp output. Info on Colour grading in filmora would be a helpful.

what about white balance, looks like you are on manual 6600K do you adjust this for every location?

What would be wrong with using say ND8 polarized filter on auto mode instead if pro? I followed recommended joystick settings to slow down its movement but still to fast and difficult to slow movement in cine setting.

Sir the Allow upward gimbal rotation is being remove in 1.8.0 dji version??
