Bjorns tech reviews are better than actual tech reviewers

In my subjective opinion, the DJI sounds way better, clearer, real. The Røde sounds too deep and not detailed.

Not in this review. The DJI is really muffled. I would almost think something is wrong with the unit as when I tested it against the rode wireless go 2 performance was pretty much the same.

Not sure how you are listening to it, but for voice the Rode seems a lot clearer and deeper. Disagree 😅

I’m thinking it may be his unit. I’ve also had the opportunity to test both. I ended up returning the Rhode and paying $50 more for the DJI. When compared, they sounded the same - except when you turn on 32 bit processing on the DJI. Then it had a little edge over Rhode.

Thanks for taking the time to put this vid together Bjorn. I did the same and bought the DJI mic after having issues with my Rode Wireless GO. I have DJI cameras and it’s good for them as they connect direct to the mic and automatically record the video with 32bit audio. For non-DJI cameras I agree with you totally. Turning off low cut with DJI improves the sound (no muffle)when recording in the car.

That's generally cause size and audio quality (dynamic range etc.) often go hand in hand, a bit like SLR cameras.

Hello Bjorn ! ! ! Great review as always. I would recommend the DJI Pocket 3, since you like compact systems. Witch has integrated gimbal camera plus good quality, also in poor light scenarios. 🖐

I use INSTA360 X3 with Godox Movelink M2 - size is same as Røde and it works with camera - it does disappear

Bjorn! I just found you. You are great my man! Very entertaining, but also, very true. I am an American that moved to Germany a while ago. I lived in Düsseldorf and worked all over northern Germany driving the Autoban everyday. You are right with Everything I have heard you say so far. People should take your logic and how the road rules are followed between Germans and Americans. Every time I would fly back to the US for work, I would be crazy mad in 30 minutes of driving. Typical Americans DO CAMP OUT IN THE LEFT LANE like they own it. Keep making your videos my friend!

Have you noticed any cell phone interference on the Rode?

No but it could seem like it's affected by live streaming.

Don’t u notice the grainy sound of the rode ?

Rode is better 😍 Also with Premiere sound edit. Also now we also want to see Bjorn in 4K! It's 2024 ;) we need 4K 😍 Test gopro they are really great dont need to have the fisheye effect. Thx for a great channel.

how much would it cost more to integrate a usb hub ic into the dji case $1??

The Røde sounds a bit fuller/ deeper. The DJI sounds more compressed/narrow.

Australia 1 , China 0 .. That doesn't happen often hah

Try them and then buy the Hollyland Lark M2. Just better value for money.

There is no room for sound compromises, Røde mic. would be the one I would go for. Even as this video show, some "tuning" is needed for everything to be perfect...

Hey I'm a tech guy That's also a car guy! I have lots of wireless mics and I say the audio sounds a little bit better on the rode compared to the DJI. But my new favorite is the HollyLand Lark M2! It's super tiny and has good audio. It doesn't have a lavalier or internal recording though.

I agree with you, the Rode mic sound better.

@Bjorn Nyland I actually purchased the Ulanzi AM18 because it offered basically the same package and accessories for around $100 (Canadian Dollars). DJI isn't that great and Rode tends to be $499+ CAD. I watched a review from Mark Bennett Camera Crisis - he is a professional photographer/ video production person near me

Yes I have got both and the funny thing is I prefer the Rode for the quality but I do like DJI form factor. The Rode wireless GOII now comes up like a usb device with the latest firmware so you can offload your files without any extra software. Pretty sure you can export audio with float 32 but you need the Rode Central software for this.

Thx for the review. The general consensus is DJI is more convenient Rode has a little better audio and different features. Comes down to how you're going use it. I would sand either and paint it mat black with a mat polyurethane finish hiding the logo and removing the shiny reflection. So which one do you use for your car review? We know using the lav is best but the built in mic on the transmitter is so convenient.

I really liked the original Rode Wireless Go. I still have them whenever I feel like starting videos again. The Wireless Go Pro looks like a great option.
