    I tried to watch this in 4K but my internet connection is so crappy nothing happened. So I had to settle for 720. I bought a tiny 4k bike cam and I'm not sure that setting is worth all the excess data it's going to burn through so I was going to use the 2.7k setting because it's "better than 1080"

    What if i want to shoot fast moving objects and/or move very fast with the drone? I feel that 30fps isn't enough for it, and gives me sketchy footage... hence why dropping down to 1080p and its 60fps may be more ideal. Would you recommend it? (provided i'm filming with daylight). Ps. I recently bought the Mavic, so haven't experimented with anything other than 4K at the moment.

    Sounds like you need ND filters to bring your shutterspeed down to 1/60th. That way your footage wont have that jitter

    Thanks for the awesome vid man! Now I've been debating whether to shoot in 2.7 and 4K due to the lagging (choppy) playback footage directly from the SD card (on the Mavic). Do you decompress the Mavic footage at all? If so, how/what do you use to get-around such heavy codec compression from the Mavic footage?

    These drones are aimed at more consumers and low budget filmmakers. In the film world you should be flying with the Inspire and the RAW camera. That will get the nicest footage to be used in post production.

    Hi! Great Video. I have a P4P. I've taken probably 75 videos and done nothing wth them because I don't really know how to edit. Several years ago I made a bunch of web videos for my business and used I movie. Could you give me some tips one where I should start as a beginner with the drone footage? What software to use ( inexpensive I already have I movie). Your help is greatly appreciated. Also how to do store and classify your files on a permanent basis? Do you use an external drive, do you have a folder by subject or by settings like 2.7K Videos? I'm just kind of lost here. Thanks again!!Sincerely, Joe Glenn

  • @JevenDovey

    @JevenDovey

    7 жыл бұрын

    Organization is key when editing. I usually keep all my files stored by date in folders. My naming system keeps them always in order. When editing you need to just watch other drone videos and start mimicking how people cut their footage. You'll learn pacing and when to cut by doing that. Also cutting to the beat of the music makes the footage flow nicely. Another note, don't cut in footage that is jerky or unnatural moves. As soon as someone sees a quick pan or a jerk in the footage they will loose interest. Watch some of our Thailand vlogs to get a feeling for how we cut the drone footage.

    Hi WanderWorx! Merry Christmas - Hope you had a good trip to Thailand. I think it's a bug in the new update of Dji Go and Dji Go 4 - If I turn on the remote and my Ipad Mini - so I still have Art, B&W, Vivid, Beach, Dream, Classic and Jugo. If I connects to the Mavic Pro - then disappears Art, B&W, Vivid etc. I still have the old version of Dji Go on my Samsung Note 3 - so I can still load color ART!

    26mook cool. Use art if you're going to color correct. It produces some nice images. You can see all the Thailand Mavic specific footage in a playlist "Mavic - in the sky" on our account. Will do a in depth color grading tutorial for the art mode soon

    I noticed you had sharpness on -1. Would you try this again with sharpness on +1 and then reduce the sharpness a little in post? I've been researching it and it seems that the mavic introduces noise reduction when the sharpness is at 0 or below and it makes the image slightly mushy and you loose a lot of detail in high dynamic range shots (like shooting into the sunset for example). I'd love to see a comparison between 4k and 2.7k with the sharpness on +1 and then dialing it back a little in post rather than relying on the small on-board mavic computer. Thanks for this video! I love the color correcting software you're using, looks pretty simple and easy to use and that final shot looked gorgeous!

    +WanderWorx How is it that people are able to use their drone in remote places and deserts when they don't have wifi, since it can only be used with a cellphone as a remote?

  • @JonathanNinnin

    @JonathanNinnin

    7 жыл бұрын

    Okey, need some technical help. First: The connexion is made between the remote and the phone. BUT, The mavic has a function to communicate directly with the Phone, so it create a wifi network between those 2. You don't need to have any internet connexion for that. Wifi doesn't mean internet, it means connected to something remotely (to your internet box, or in that a case, a drone). But the direct phone connection has huge limitation in terms of range. You only have a range of roughly 100m between you and the drone, whereas you get 5km+ with the remote which use a different connexion than wifi.

  • @JevenDovey

    @JevenDovey

    7 жыл бұрын

    You're not connecting to the internet to operate a drone. The drone and controller talk through their own wifi signal. You can fly a drone anywhere.
