Never had a drone, I’m leaning towards the first model soley based on size and the fact u don’t HAVE to use the controller if I wanna pack light, I’m not sure, any recommendations

OH I didn't know that?! You can fly the Mavic Air purely with your phone? Because it's using wifi technology instead of OcuSync? I must try that! The Mavic Air is still an amazing drone, I would recommend it for starters: amzn.to/38fgI8t Or otherwise the Mini 2: amzn.to/3bhRHLW

Great video about theAir 1 and Air 2👍👌👍You forgot one great point about the Air 1 and that is the weight under 500 gr. so it’s possible to fly this drone with a standard drone license in the EU till 2023. For the Air 2 you have to do extra online exam and the Air 2 does not have the desired EU CX label and Air Sense yet in Europe! So I bought the Air 1 earlier this year and will upgade later! The Air 1 flies like a blast and is a great and cheaper drone with many functions. Greetings from 🇳🇱

Very interesting! I did not know that and I am originally from Europe but not many of my friends actually have drones. Things are a bit easier here in the US I suppose. thanks for pointing that out. I will definitely look into it some more! Happy Holidays my friend!

Are you sure that the Mavic Air 1 does not have APAS? I have seen several other reviews that say the Mavic Air 1 has the obstacle detection and APAS. Can you please elaborate?

Sorry, I hope I didn’t come across wrong. The Mavic Air 1 has Obstacle Avoidance but it’s not as good as the Mavic Air 2 Obstacle avoidance. Here’s what I mean, the Mavic Air 1 simply stops when detecting an Obstacle preventing it from crashing, which is still awesome and amazing and totally worth having! The Mavic Air 2, can automatically circumvent the Obstacles while it’s tracking a subject. For example, if the MA2 is following you and you run behind a tree, the MA2 will fly around the tree and keep looking for you, once it has re-detected you it’ll keep tracking you. It’s pretty cool and works pretty well. I’ll make a video about it soon. Hope that helps! Cheers, Dan 🤘

I still love my og mavic air 😉. As I wanted something light & compact to make videos while traveling. Great video ✌️ Mavic Air 2 is definitely better

Yes, the go Mavic Air is super compact. It’s partly the reason why I still have mine. Even the controller is so much more compact :)

Can i control it by gesture like 1st one?

Mavic Air 1 defiantly has APASS it was the first DJI drone to have it, also Mavic Air 1 has 120 fps slow motion. These are two Important features I use often. Thanks for the video.

You forgott the zoom of the Mavic Air 2

Very attentive of you, Enno! But yes I left out a bunch of things. The Zoom is cool, but I don't really see the need for it. You can always shoot in 4K and digitally zoom in given you're working on a 1080p project. I suppose the one cool feature with the zoom is where you start zoomed and and then fly forward while zooming out. It's a really cool effect, but again, you can't really have it in 4K. Thanks so much for watching my friend! They are both great drones! I dropped my AIR 1 controller, so I don't think it's worth selling.
