Thanks for that. I have only just got my drone and I'm terrible when it comes to co-ordination! I'm having trouble with the buttons but my son who has xbox etc has no problem. It's just getting use to them. Will keep practising.

I imagine it’s a lot easier to fly as far as orientation goes if you just watch the screen instead of trying to look at the drone. That way you’re always facing the way the drone is facing.

Hi Dylan just came across your channel, new to the Drone Ownership and Flying i have found your vlogs are very easy to understand especially as i am a beginner, I have just purchased the Mavic Pro 2 not new but it has been very well looked after. I have been a photographer for a long time but have had to give it up for health reason but still wanted a hobby, hopefully Drone Flying will still let my creative side continue to be. What is would be your go to software for video editing and that would not cost a fortune to buy. I live in the UK England many thanks Kurt

First time I’ve ever seen walk around the drone instead of spinning it with your body. Makes more sense i guess.

Seems so many of these vids are too fast and delve into complexity too soon, so I highly appreciate your intro for this 70yo who plans on buying the zoom next May coz you take your time with basic details! Thanks sooooo much! l'll have saved enough to buy by then. Now that I'm here, any warning against buying it on eBay? Probably should see if still could have initial dji warranty? Also want DJI's care deal coz don't want kick myself for "getting out of control". I'll subscribe to you coz you taking time to make things clear. BTW, was this headless mode or that is the other different control setting? Always kinda confuse those.

Does the home point dynamic option only show when the controller and drone are connected?

Great video! If the drone looses it’s connection does it automatically fly home? Or do you need to change a setting?

Better: Left stick: Up, Down, right, left--------Right stick: go forward, go backward, turn right, turn left. I don't know why is not the default option, but you must setting in custom profile.

Oh, and I totally subbed to your channel. I love the way you take one issue and you cover it in words that us novices can understand. My biggest pet peeve about YT videos is watching 25 minutes of something you don't need to get to the three minutes of something you do need. And then that issue, isn't covered as extensively as needed! I'm a fan already. And I'll be binge watching you tonight. I just got my Mavic 2 Pro and did first flight today. Your channel is going to be helpful to me and recommended to my friends getting into it.

The discussion about controls being reversed when the drone is facing the pilot is understandable but to really develop the muscle memory needed to steer a quadcopter or fixed wing drone in any direction, there is no substitute for time spent on an RC simulator like Real Flight 7.5, which can be bought cheap used on eBay. Any RC pilot that puts in enough hours on a simulator will be rewarded with a clean flying record showing zero pilot-error crashes, and no costly repairs.

How will it function if you have no cell or data on a ipad ?

It is must set the compact calibration ?

Let's say you send your drone far away and when you want to come home, you can't tell if it flies towards you or away from you. Do you use the map for orientation?

So if you go up or down, and then release the stick at some point, it auto-hovers in the spot?

With FPV goggles I imagine the orientation feels normal since you're in that mode

Would have liked to have seen you.take off manually instead of using the take off button. And land the drone. But good video.

to land it you just push the left stick down, it will slow down on its own so it wont crash

Keep it on Beginner mode until you learn how to use it. It’s helping me.
