Nick Poverman you don’t use a Mavic air for FPV. You build an FPV racing drone for that. Much more fun to fly and easier to fix when you crash...because you will.

For a cinematic experience it needs to at least record in stabilized 4K with a good imaging sensor and lens, but this is an improvement...

Magnus Bjorkroth it does, but it is much more difficult to fly a Mavic air FPV and do what you can with an FPV racing drone...which can be used for racing, freestyle, or to capture video in many ways a Mavic air can’t.

This is the greatest thing I've purchased in FPV. I Have 22 analog quads that I've built or purchased over the past 5 years. since I've purchased this system I have no desire to fly them. I have tried a couple of time but after using the DJI fpv system I just can't make myself compromise video quality any longer. My range is just ridulous. Stupidly I'm a spektrum guy and 300 yard was about all I was getting. now after watching all the videos showing the systems range I took a chance and flew 1 mile. There is no way to describe that kind of freedom coming from 300 yards. Thank you so much DJI for making this. I really truly wish you had put this on the market 5 years ago It would have saved me thousands of dollars building, buying and loosing all that analog crap.

@@wcsdiaries it can be put on any quad that you can fit it in. So far I've changed four of my analog quads to DJI. Props are in view, but that's ok. Maybe soon I'll change them to frames that won't show the props. Or maybe not. Lol! Loving DJI.

Dji just kill it with every product! They listen to the consumer and deliver above expectation!

You know what I love most about this? The video they're displaying as their "DJI FPV Goggles" isn't that high quality... 480p max?... which is great! It creates realistic expectations whilst also showing the impressive low latency. Definitely excited for improvements to come!

950 is the cost to get all you need for fpv. Quad, controller, googles, charger, and all tools. It's actually cheaper, around 850 bucks, everything bought in 1 store (RaceDayQuads), if you mix stores you can do it cheaper.

wowowow not so fast I want to see what happens if you've weak signal. Cause my analog signal still sends me shitty image, but at least I can see, that there is a tree in front of me, even if the image is full of noise. Digital systems normally just time out or don't show anything if the transmission is really weak and the packages are corrupted. Also "within 28ms" is really high latency. normally you've 5ms or sth like that.

I am using flysky i6 modded to 14ch and payed like 45 USD, I also used taranis for a while and don't see the need for anything more expensive than flysky

Its not legal in the USA. Goggles prevent you from having direct line of sight to your model. The "Land of the Free" will fine you or put you in a cage.

The only problem is, no matter how durable they make it you will eventually crash it and break it, and unless it has the parts and ease to fix it like existing FPV drone parts, then it really wouldn’t be a great option. And also btw you can buy pre-built drones

I think you can hack it if you want to. Strap second camera to the drone and have it feed to your another eye (assuming they have dual display inside the goggle), boom you get stereo image

Imagine standing in the middle of mother nature, saying to your friend "let's go explore this part over there" and you both just start flying with your drones exploring everything through these goggles.

@@StevenEwaldGFX you have no clue, I am one of the first FPVers in the US, I have build and flown model A/C for 43 years , camera in A/C for 15 , and doing health analysis of vineyards using drones and NDVI., I was a air defense missile system Tech in the Army, 17 years as a Aircraft Technician, Private pilot, FCC and TV , I was one of the first flying micro jet FPV camera weight a gram the jet 5 oz.. it flys up to 500 ft away with a 200 mw transmitter running on a one cell 250 mah . Now I am doing a VTOL for the vineyards and the CUBE with ADS B , terrain following, ext. With BLOS capability.. need anymore references of my back ground, I have more. And Try flying a DJI product for the government, see what they tell you. American made Drones is the new opportunity for Government , no spying

They have made a racing drone propulsion system (ESCs, motor, and props) called SNAIL. If they ever go back into racing drones, I wouldn't be surprised if they actually start selling components that are compatible with all your standard stuff, like other off-the shelf components, however are perfectly optimized to be used together, and are also sold as pre-built drones. It would be interesting to see what they come up with in terms of batteries, since a smart battery PCB and stuff would just waste space, weight and cost on a racing drone.

Me: I wanna get this too! Looks at the price...okay, TAKE MY MONEY! Also me: WHERE do I find it? I can't find it...not even listed at DJI store yet.

If vomiting is interesting, then yes:D (I agree it would be super cool and I want to try it, but motion sickness would be a huge problem)

@@Nago15 Motion sickness in VR is mostly caused by the visual feedback that our brain perceive not matching the data registered by our vestibular system. A quality video feed that encompasses a good chunk of your field of view and doesn't match the motions that your vestibular system is sending to your brain can potentially make you sick just the same, even if the signal is not stereoscopic. There's an extremely efficient system to train the brain in VR to get rid of the dreaded motion sickness, but it's very unpopular because it involves the artificial limitation of the headset displays' refresh rates: the lower it is, the less motion sickness it induces, contrarily to what many so-called experts claim - including some big tech head honchos and PR representatives, which is quite infuriating and always makes me wonder whether the person making the claim is just plain ignorant or is lying intentionally about it on order to sell their 'better displays with higher refresh rates help alleviate VR motion sickness" running lie, which is one of the uglier false myths surrounding the VR world. If one uses a headset daily for a couple of hours and slowly increases the refresh rate over the course of several days or weeks- it depends on the person - the brain adjusts to the novelty just fine in the most healthy, less aggressive way possible. And it totally works. If you doubt it, just ask the NASA.

No reason why we don't have systems with two cams and two screens.
