Hey, guys thanks for the review I am about to buy a pair of goggles and after watching ten other videos this one covered the things I wanted to know. I will probably go for the racing edition. Subscribed.
Honestly, I’ve been watching this channel for a while now and there is a better channel for DJI product reviews. Very informative video, keep up the good work!
Hi great vid , i have the RE version of the goggles and was wondering if you are it using the mavic pro or the mavic 2 ( which uses 2.4 and 5.8 ) do you have to connect the external antenna?
Great video, and I loved the end screen ;)
This is the kind of content I like to see on Flitetest.
When you're flying with the Mavic Pro 2...is it necessary to install the Pagoda? I understand that really for use with the FPV system.
Very informative video Alex & Austin!!
Awesome review, they are the goggles I was looking for!!! Thank you !!!! for the info and keep up the great work..

James Graham fantastic! So glad we could help out... enjoy em James!!
They are great for us aerial photographers in Florida shooting on white beach with bright sunshine. Good video for helpful and very well done.
wow 800K subscriptions - that means a big party! well done guys :)
Super interesting! I can't wait for low latency fpv with a good digital signal! We're getting there
Thanks, guys. This was really informative. I'm trying to get into FPV and this is helping to make a good decision.

Calvin Schellbach that’s awesome! Glad we could help ;)
You say latency is 50ms at 480P. Is that digital via the Ocusync, or straight analog 5.8? Any figures on latency using Ocusync at higher reslutions?
Glad you did a video on these googles! Canceled my Mavic Air pre-order yesterday (hopefully await the MP2) and always wanted these googles for my Mavic Pro. So will be spending that hard earned cash on these instead! Good timing guys, thumbs up from Sweden

Magnus Persson Why did you cancel the Mavic Air?

Just figured that the Air is a Spark Pro. Very impressive little bugger but I´ll wait for the next bandwagon. Hopefully an MP2. Just tested out these googles now...love the feeling you get when flying with them! I think these will really help when capture cinematic-shots.

That makes sense. I too am always skeptical of when to buy new tech because something better always seems to be around the corner. Thanks for replying :)

Magnus Persson something new will always be coming out. Timing, price, features and learning curve help make the choice for me. I learned a long time ago that it isn’t all about the technology all of the time. At times, quite often it is the user that will bring out the full potential of any experience. All in all, Magic Pro today or Mavic Pro 2 when it comes out.. the maximum potential experience will depend on you!
Exceptional informational video guys, thank you very much!
DJI needs to step up their game. This new company DGI is really bringing it. I love my Ohio buddies see you every year at Flitefest but you take great liberty with J's and G's. It's not just you guys it's everyone up there. Love to you brother. Peace.
Cant wait to see more!
Hi, great video! Do these google work with a mavic air 1, as I don’t think it has ocusync?
Hopefully the Marvel Vision II's will be back in stock soon. I have been waiting scince Christmas! Great video!
Hey guys, love this channel and all the videos you do huge fan and thanks for all the info you provide. Question for you, I have a Mavic Pro and I plan on purchasing a Opterra in the next few weeks. Can you recommend a FPV headset ( goggles) that would work on both without breaking the bank?
@FliteTest
6 жыл бұрын
Jim Wyrick these goggles would work for both!! ;)
Hi, thanks for the review. What would be a good and affordable FPV drone that is compatible with the DJI RE Goggles for first timers? (my wife wants to try)
love YOUR VIDS CEEP UP THE GOOD GOOD WORK :)
Thank you for you Review! Ordered mine RE today :) Maybe you can answer me a question about the antenna? I use dipole on my small quads. Which antenna should I use on the RE? Can I use my fatshark antenna? If yes, do I need a sma Adapter Reverse Polarity SMA Female to SMA Female? Thank you for your help! Keep it up! And congratulations for the 800k subs.
Question! So not only will it sync to DJI's Ocusync tx system, but also different TX's like the one on racing drones and receive different channels?
Can the head tracking work with your won setup through your RC transmitters such as FrSky?
Have you guys considered doing a comparison of HD FPV options? I'd be interested to see how this looks on a quad or wing using ocusync (whether using DJI's camera or not).
Question are the race editions worth the upgrade??? I'm only flying the mavic pro. Also does it require you to wear the antenna for the mavic??? Thanks BP
Will you get any improvement in latency when using a Mavic? Or only when using the air system? The signal processing is supposed to have improved
Excellent review guys, Thanks. Man, really wish they could miniaturize these in some ways. Peace, Wheelchair John in Idaho :) ( Mavic owner)
I got the tiny trainer for Christmas. However now I have built it and tried to get the control serfaces to work they won't. I have linked the transmitter to the receiver and got a solid light but when I plug the elevator rudder and the ailerons in they won't move. Any tips?
Do they hook up wireless to the spark or do you still need the cable
Wow. Really seems unbiased. They even compared it to their own FPV goggles and were honest about it. Great review!!!
I am particularly interested in the portable Ocusync to a plane and its compatibility with the white goggles . Can you do a intro on that please?

Dick Gibson we will be testing this in the future my friend! ;)
Greetings a question my drone was making a lot of noise at the fpv signal when I accelerated the motors so what I did was put a capacitor connected to the battery and now it signals me but the screen is totally black is a runcam owl plus 2 and foxeer tm25 I hope you can help me thank you.
I have a simple question.. Is there a 'fan' on these "racing goggles" to suck air in to keep the glass fog free? Katalyzt
I just got mine 2 weeks ago and it looks different on the rubber inside. The sides have a small cut on the inside. Mine also fits horrible. There is always light coming in from the sides. Have they changed the design?
What is the racing drone shown in the beginning? Thanks!
Best review i've seen
Where can I get the occusync transmiter? If I mount it on my skysurfer can i overlay the vector osd on it ?
Happy 800k subscribers!!!

So I’m looking at getting a Wing..I’ve narrowed it down to either a Opterra or a Disco. I can’t decide which one I’d prefer. Both have great flight characteristics and options..... I’ve watch both of your reviews and just can’t decide... what would you recommend if it was you?
I hear that there is no Find my drone function when you use the goggles is that true?
I can't find any info on the IPD adjustment on these. Are the specs in the box?
DJI, have released some new FPV Goggles, I not sure how they stack up to the current racing googles and if they're a replacement?
What's the FOV? How immersive feeling are these? New Mavic pilot here. Been building/flying whoops/race quads, fpv'ing with custom wide FOV box goggles and love widescreen gaming. I want these, but a bit too pricey. Damn.
Congrats on 800k
You should put the ocusync module on the Opterra. That is what I would do if I had such a module and goggle.

We will be doing something very similar to this!
Fascinating and superb video Flite Test. Good Job. So…Since the Occu-Sync can piggy back a traditional 2.4 Ghz radio, does that increase the range of the radio transmission beyond the expected 1-2 miles. Looks like an easy way to obtain long range FPV along with crystal clear video-just saying. Wonder when DJI will just come out with there own all in one long range fixed wing platform.
Excited to try mine with my mavic later today 🤞
Looks really nice
DGI was mentioned 20 times in this video, DJI - zero. I watched twice to confirm. Love you Flite Test, but the whole "DGI" thing drives me a bit nuts. Keep up the great work and congrats on 800k!
I’m so bummed out right now and frustrated that I just sold my MAVIC PRO for heck a cheap and this thing came out. I thought that this would never came. Thank you guys for sharing love your content. Keep up the good work.
Do you guys have time for a vs between the DJI Goggles RE and Fatshark HD0 :-) would be perfect thanks
Can you use either with the spark?
How are they for someone who is nearsighted and is there a video out? I have the Inductrix FPV+ and am thinking about the Mavic

greg E because its like an inch from your eyes. So if you can see clearly up to 6 inches unaided then you''ll be able to see the screen clearly with these.
anyone know if its possible to mod/upgrade the sharper image 720p fpv drone? its nice but it doesn't go the distance it "says"
lol the blooper real just killed me :P

Have you tested the new black DJI Goggles RE (Racing Edition) with Mavic Pro? If so, is the experience and quality/speed better on the RE edition than the regular white Goggles? Please note, I am asking specifically for Mavic Pro/Platinum, not for Phantom.
Is the live video signal from the drone digital or analog?
800k! Yay
Who makes the F-18 that is on the set background?
Are these wireless compatible with the Phantom 4 Pro Plus ?
Are these DJI racing-edition black googles compataible to the Mavic Mini 2?
does it transmit only video or audio to ?
I enjoyed this video. I would have enjoyed it more if you compared it with headplay and the ones that look like head play. I selected headplay over head shark not over cost but liked them better.
Since you guys just broke 800k subs (congrats guys!) Alex should stuff a new EMax 2306 in a mini mustang on 4 cell and do a fly hard challange! I want to see a mini mustang do 100mph ☺
Are these compatible with the DJI Air 2s? Thanks
Good production boys.
Will these goggles work on the Mavic Air ?
Does it work with glasses? Or does it compensate 4 blurriness
Will these work with the Phantom 3 advanced
Hey FliteTest are you guys making a mavic air review soon?
Those look amazing I want a mavic air
It would be interesting to see you do a video where you put DJI FPV on something like a Spear or Bixlar
The only thing you guys didn't cover was the latency using the head tracking on the racing edition versus the regular white goggles. I'm wondering if it's less
wait hold on a sec... please tell me we can use that ocusync thing on a racing fpv drone and use the dji goggles with it?
Btw where are guys located, would love to hang with if I’m ever in the area
Hey guys, the link you provided to the goggles don't seem to be working. Keep up the good work!
Does RE really have 148 degrees fov comparing with original model’s 85 degrees? Or do they feel the same?
Awesome that is compatable!
You guys are usually great but I wanted to know more about compatibility with Phantom 4 Pro series.
This is so on-time for me because I'm aiming to invest in a Mavic Pro Platinum system and can't decide whether to get the white or black RE versions. I guess if the white one has an HDMI I could also use it for other VR purposes - which adds value. If I get the Mavic, I probably would not need the 5.8 functionality.
Can anyone answer this question? I just bought a older white set of dji googles. Will the separate occusinc camera and transmitter work with my googles? I'd like to put them on a plane this summer and go for some long range flights. Thanks Rich

We have not tested this yet, but the original DJI Goggles are definitely compatible with Occusync, so you shouldn't have a problem connecting them.
Did you leave out the Mavic Air? As the air is a Mavic, can I assume it will sync?
It would be interesting to see FliteTest's opinion on the newish FPV Blue System...
I know that this is not part of the video, but will there be camping areas for flite fest Texas? Will camp sites come with the tickets?

I bought the White Dji googles about 5 months ago. But the Ocusyn air system is not compatible with them:(
Are these vr or for like a drone or sumthink?
Can you guys do a video on how to set up the OcuSynce unit on fixed wings like the Opterra?

Sick
Do the eyepieces have diopters for us ocular challenged folks?
Where can I buy the DJI Racing Edition Ocusync Air Unit? Or am I just F in the A now?
Side-note... it's pronounced "fer-nell" rather than "FreZ-nel" thanks for the great video!
I have a serious question that I have asked before and it was not answer. How do those goggles work for a person that only has one eye? I normally use goggles with one screen I'm reluctant to buy a 2 screen goggle .please answer that question.
What's the difference between the standard and racing dji goggles?

Wil these DJI Goggles RE work with Phantom 4 pro 2.0 wireless ???
@Ferdigrapher
5 жыл бұрын
Pondus 500 yes.
I own these goggles for over a year but totally missed one point * built in analog 5,8 Ghz connectivity I always thought I had to buy the dji air system unit to use the goggles in fixed wing or other models. One fine day I purchased a ZOHD with Kopilot and transmitter that should have a huge range and so I started considering buying affordable aomway commander still unaware that my mavic 2 goggles could instantly work. At that point I saw one alternative in buying a dji air system ... cause it seemed a bit cheaper which it was not ... and then I found a link with the googles and this crazy antenna I did not use before and thought that it belonged to the FPV Air system but in the background I saw that the truck had no digital dji cam but an analog cam mounted. The last 2 days I figured out how easy the goggles are to pair with the analog cam of the ZOHD and now I learned or understood what DJI means by air unit or system cause what you guys showed is the complete digital air unit with the OSD and artifical horizon and gps or telemetry. So it looks like I will be able to use the analog world in my zohd world and I will buy a used air unit cause that offers the whole flexibility and power of a dji ocusync system. Thanks a lot and this video ist still up to date after dji had fixed all the initial issues they had with Mavic 2 series or support of the Mavic 2 by these goggles that took a long time till spring. And if my new air system works great I will put it on the flite test otter seaplane in hope that it will be able to carry the weight and system easily. Cheers and a happy new year for the coming 2020 !
800k yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. congrats@all
