If using Android phone you should attach the otg usb adapter NOT to your phone (how a otg is supposed to be used) instead the otg adapter has to be put into the goggles. Then it will recognize the goggles and activate the drone

yeah, the audio can be muted or replaced ... writing on the video im not sure about ...

The issues with phone connectivity are ridiculous for that otherwise very good drone. It seems my goggles stopped being able to connect to phone after firmware update - because it used to connect quite easily but after installing the latest firmware to fix an issue with a new battery (it turns out it was just unbalanced and two or three deep-discharge - charge cycles fixed it perfectly) it now does not connect to the phone. The goggles seems unable to detect something is connected to them - but if connected as and end-device (e.g. to update firmware) my PC sees the goggles perfectly fine. I'll try connecting as You describe it (reverse order the app instructs) but I think I'll just forget about the app anyway - it crashes on my new phone and my old phone has a dying battery. It will bug me a bit (I do have an OCD - my gadgets need to be able to use ALL functions they have, even the useless ones ;) ) but I think I can manage.

@@Serriniverse Fun fact: I fixed it. I just had to use USB-C-USB-C cable and connect phone FIRST and power up goggles only AFTER the phone noticed something can be connected.

ended up selling mine a week later ... bought an Autel.

Dude thanks but it won't work DJI as of right now wants ID on every flight which is why you have to plug it in too your phone each time.

Maybe try it fresh from the start ... I've heard some peeps say they had to do it twice to stick.

I have a solution !! I tried everything, soft upgrade, ios and android smartphones, various cables, nothing helped. I had to reset the goggles with the red button on the power cable and pair it again with the radio and drone, everything started after that, the first time it activated

Didn't do it for me. It still says that the aircraft is disconnected.

@@Serriniverse For what it's worth, I finally got mine running. I did not follow the complicated procedure you outlined. If that was required, it would be on it's way back as we speak. I live in a blue zone so had to get this area unlocked which is fairly straight forward on the Fly safe site but the mistake I made was not knowing to upload the license to the aircraft. So you can have your zone unlocked but if the license has not been uploaded to the drone you still cannot fly. In settings on your phone on the DJI app you have to scroll down to see that option. Took me 2 dang days to figure this one out. You do this while your phone is connected to the goggles with the aircraft turned on as well. The license lasts 3 days. It's a little bit of a pain but I did enjoy flying it this weekend. I have not yet made up my mind yet about keeping it. Fortunately I have 3 more weeks to decide. Instructions are crap for this thing. DJI really needs to do a better job. I have seen multiple videos and complaints about people not being able to fly.

@@Serriniverse it'll download but won't work with the dji fpv. Friend let me use his I phone . Just got to using it today. And posted my 1st fpv flight.

Thanks, but not even this works for me. Shame on DJI. I though it was these kind of companies things work straight away but not anymore.

This is a ridiculous fix, remove the OTG cable and use a C to C cable, works instantly.

This solved it straight away after nothing working, you can also use type C to lighting if you have an iphone
