Great point about it being a v5 system. I got to experience the digital system first hand a few weeks ago because FPV pilots are cool and like sharing. :) I was amazed to see an insect fly past me 15 feet away. That just blew my mind and I never would have noticed that on an analogue system. Just being able to soak in the details real-time for me is everything. I know I'll be getting one sometime soon.

The best in depth review I have seen on this setup

This is by far the most comprehensive video on the DJI FPV system I've seen. I just got mine recently and am still working on my first build and this has helped immensely, so thank you for all of the work you put into this and all of your other videos. You're my go-to guy for all the pertinent FPV info. I'm really surprised that you only have about 100 patreon supporters at this point, should be waaaaay more.

Every hardcore question is answered. The best review of this system. Thank you for all your hard work. I really appreciate how in depth you went.

I don't dare to build my own drone myself, but if it ever comes to that I would be very grateful if I came across such a video that clearly explains step by step how it works and what you have to do.

I can't image the time and effort put into this vid. This is why you are the only channel I support. No one else can or will provide more in depth info than you. Thank you for all your effort. And btw, after Stu proclaimed his disinterest in reviewing Brushless cinewhoops , I hope more people come to your channel and will appreciate what a reviewer really is and that is someone who is fortunate enough to receive a free product for review and takes the time to do the research and provide unbias info on that product regardless if the reviewer "favors" that type of product. Brilliant! Best I've seen on the dji system. Point well made on the v5 and the price comparison to analog. I think iFlight has the answer, a ready to go quadcopter complete with the dji system. Upon its arrival I'm in the air! Cheers and fantastic bit of work.

I did glaze over a little during the channel set segment but then I'm kinda new FPV. Having sat on the FPV fence for so many years due to the cost / experience ratio, I think these might goggles might finally make me jump in.

Dji is great for ease of use , reliability, and just over all quality.. I was never a dji fan until I bought a mini 2… wow is that little camera drone good

Andy ...wow. you are without question the absolute BEST review of this system, Period. Wow. I will use this as my study guide. I have had the system for two months. Flown every day. I have built 4 DJI kwads, two 7" and two 5". Next will be 3" and then jump to 10'. you are the ONLY reviewer that pointed out this is NOT V1.0 !! I am so sick of people trying to disrespect what DJI has accomplished. I LOVE my Phantoms and Mavics. I fly Mavic once a week. With the new AIO plug and Fly stacks and DJI frames building is so so so easy. 12 motor wires to esc. That's it. Thank You SO MUCH. I am sure this video took a long time. I am very grateful for your hard work. THANK YOU !!!!

@@AndyRCchannel I built two GEPRC Crocodile 7" . one iFlight 5" one GEPRC 5" I have stocked up on the Holybro DJI stacks and Air Units. the visual experience is so wonderful that it has opened up a new world. just being up 100' flying looking out and down at the world is enough.

Andy I designed a 3 inch frame for the dji system. The weight is 180 grams on1607 motors, there's room for everything.

Thanks to Share, I bought the googles and 3 units for my drones, I'm gonna use my FRSky controler. But I have a big question?! Any time I want to Change the drone I have to rebind the googles with the unit?!? Or it saves the bind of my 3 units?!?

Armattan has released a version of their Badger freestyle frame (in both 5 and 6 inch) specifically made for the DJI system. I put my first DJI system together around a 6in model of it and it's super nice. Replaceable arms etc.

Do you think this would be easier to squeaze into a cinequeen frame since it has a slightly deeper front frame section? I really like the idea of the DJI system but I'm a fan of the smaller quads.

Re: the stock goggle bag - you can fit it in with the antennas on, it's just tight. On Amazon, the "co2crea Hard Travel Case for Samsung Gear VR Controller 2017/2018 SM-R325" fits the goggles perfect, with stock antennas on! It's an ideal cheap hard case for now.
