Bruce from RC Modelreviews used a Quannum analog receiver & an A.V. Cord . Plugged it into the A.V. Outlet on the DJI FPV Goggles and can fly analog . Please give it a try .

Looking good! I am working my way up to HD DJI FPV or better whenever they come out but right now I just got my first quad and its the Trashcan. I don't have the goggles yet but they are on the way (maybe 2 weeks away) but my question if you can answer is, If i turn off the VTX 25-200mw how do I turn it back on again since the way to change those options is via the OSD via the VTX? I have not tired turning it off since I don't know how I would turn it on again after.. Even if your not familiar with the Trashcan quad I think other quads would work the same with the VTX off option.. I would like to turn it off for now since I am not flying FPV and it might give me longer flight times.. Thanks in advance for any info..

So does this affect control too? Or just video? (Will it extend flight distance control in 700? Or just video range?)

Just video range. The transmitter transmits the control signal from the transmitter (as the name implies) but the video transmitter on the drone (25 or 700mw) transmits the video signal

I am in the usa, but my googles are showing an output of 25 mw. Not sure how to resolve this. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for that test. We poor people who don’t have a flag on the moon really needed it :-). Would be interesting if you tried the audio/video input on the googles.

It works, but I need to do more testing, that video is coming soon. I was happy to find a solution with a DVR.

Good test, thanks for it! I have one small complaint though! The comparison is not fair, because you flight significantly lower (overall) on 25mW than on 700mW. Especially around the house. Altitude makes a huge difference in these cases.;-)

Question(s) for ya! :) Does the goggle's transmit power match the air unit while flying? (Or does it raise power as necessary? How much is it really transmitting?) I've heard those top to antennas or transmitting and receiving, DJI's site lists goggle's output as "

For any who are curious, emailed DJI and a senior engineer ended up responding. Goggle output is consistent with air unit. so when air unit is on 700mw, goggle are pumping that as well.

why do you ask this question? can't you just change the code and use more mw? how much battery do all the mw modes need? do you need a bigger and heavier battery if you use the dji fpv ?

In Europe, it is illegal to use more than 25mW.

1000$ 25mw system as good as 8$ 25mw, sound nice !

Where you see break-ups at 700mW? I don't see them. ;) :) For me this system is perfect. Such clear FPV. I hope that competitions will show up, that prices will be lowered. Sooner or later will happens this. Fatshark what are you waiting for? ;)

The center is perfect, but the edges have some breakup. It’s really clever. And I love the way they implemented it.

@@SimRacer101 I'm flying in almost no obstacles area on meadow and have very rarely short breaks up to 230m(25mW). While image is not comparable to DJI. O.K. at X215 is still quite good. While at FPV EGG 138 is below average. This is one of reasons why I fly almost just with X215, the second one is, it's faster, more responsable,... While I will give in Dragonfly a better camera. The original is terrible. But O.K. it was for free and looks great. I like it. (Y) :)

It's weird that that tree gives you so much trouble. It is not very thick.

Nope, it’s very consistent though. The fact that one of them is mostly dead doesn’t seem to have affected it much.

Don't fly at 25mW while using DJI air unit as Rx. You will got failsafe of your quad at short distance...
