Glad I watched this video :-) Also glad you went through the hassles because most of us probably will have the same frustration. I noticed you mentioned the long charge times for the batteries. If you buy a usb hub with a 65w port it will charge them in like 35mins each. The remote and goggles can't be charged with the 65w charger but the batteries can, 29.00 on Amazon for a 65w usb charger. Thanks for making this video Dustin 🙂

Thanks for the great review and it’s good to see you back in the free world. I see what you have leaning in the corner lol! I bought the quad only for $629 on the first day they were available and it finally arrived on Thursday of this past week. I’ve flown it for two days now and honestly I’m blown away at how good it is. Anyone scared about the sd card slot is worrying over nothing btw. I have giant hands and it’s not rocket since. I’m fairly confident I could take the sd out and put it back in in complete darkness. It’s not that hard. The ‘plastic’ the quad is made out of reminds me of the polymer that gun makers use in Glocks etc. It’s NOT breaking and probably better than CF in that it isn’t brittle and has durability and flex. I bought extra batteries but those shipped UPS ground and will be here sometime when they finish building the Pony Express Trail lol. Thanks for the review and I hope you like your avata as much as I’ve enjoyed mine. I didn’t get the motion controller since I already have the fpv controller 2. I doubt I’ll be dropping $200 on one either. I’d rather have more batteries haha. My only complain is that it’s not as fast as the DJI fpv lmao

Great video. I love my Avata. I also like the motion controller, however, I do have the FPV Remote 2 and it does fly a lot better with that controller. Look forward to more videos!

Nice video! Since I only have 1 useful arm the motion controller is perfect for me. my only complaint is the battery life, would be nice to have 30min flight time. I've only gotten about 11 minutes

According to a lot of people, they made it super easy to get the battery out just crash it, it will fall out. And I guess you figured out that the little round lenses are for putting prescription lenses in at the motion controller doesn’t work in manual mode

Great review. I am worried that the new goggles fogged up for you straight away due to all the other reports of fogging and out of focus image at the edge.

Being able to quit your day job to do youtube is a blessing. I know it'll never happen to me but I'm so happy this happened to you. It's such a fun hobby. Imagine being paid enough to afford 2 homes that none from youtube. I wish I could do that for my family. I slave my life away being a mechanic and my family is struggling so bad I try not to let the kids know. I love seeing others make it bc I envy yall so much. It's a dream.

Hiya Dustin those new goggles do have four antennas, the other two are built in the goggles just behind where they sit on your nose. I've got the Avata I love it.

Cool, I was wondering where you were at. Cheers from SE Utah ! BTW, if you pick up a 65 watt charger, which DJI recommends, you cut your charge time down on the battery to about 40 min. The usbc cable on the original DJI FPV power pack is only 10 watts out, so get a better charger and things will go much more quick. I picked one up on Amazon for about 25 to 30 bucks. It's way faster !

Thank you so much for your help. My Avata just arrived today and setting these up can really be a deal sometimes. You can't access any kind of Avata guides without activation of the goggles, right? I was looking just for a general set-up guide, but I found that there we none. Thanks again for this video Dustin, it's been very helpful.

Just curious how ya get the view on your phone of the goggles view so someone can be watching the phone at the same time

Hi, just wanted to toss my 2 cents in if I may. If you use a power supply that does at least 60watts of power plus, the Avata batteries will charge much faster! USB-C to USB-C to 60w power supply is what you really want. I had one hell of a time as well, where my batteries were taking well over 2 1/2 hours because I was using a freaking 15w charging port. Hope this helps.

Do u like the dji fpv drone or the dji avata the most??

They don't take 4h to charge. The drone batteries take around 30min for 80%. Around 45min to fully charge them. Check your power brick and the wattage, they obviously need the correct charger

If you want faster charging you can use higher power plug but usually at expensive of battery longevity 🍻

A friend had moved the lens with his fingers like you did he did not realize he was hurting the internal gears !

Whats the motor stator seize? The dji fpv drone has 2306 motors I figured out

It’s better to charge by usb plug in don’t use a brick. Quicker charge when you use usb. Bricks get to hot.

I noticed that I could never get sharp corners in the goggles. I would adjust it thinking it's sharp and it'd be not sharp when I switch to a different view or when I slightly adjust the goggles on my face. I don't wear glasses either so it's quite annoying..

I saw the rifle in the corner there, I love America for this reason. Were not afforded those liberties in Canada unfortunately. DLI is very nice but they have to many rules and updates basically they tell you when and where you can fly !!!!!
