This is my issue also! I have the Air 2S but I am lusting for the classic 3 for sure. I began my love of drones with the Mavic 2 Pro and used it for about two years until I sold it and purchased the Air 2S. I thought the M2P was getting worn out (probably not) and that was my reason for selling. I look back at photos and videos I took with the M2P vs. the Air 2S and the M2P is so much better. I believe it is the Hasselblad thing in my opinion. So because the M3 classic is Hasselblad I will probably get it but I need to sell my Air 2S which I am bot having success with.

Yeah I feel like theres an abundance of Air 2S’s being sold atm. Mines had very little interest even though I’m bundling it with a DJI RC. I think 2 things are happening: 1) theres an abundance due to people upgrading to the Mavic 3 Classic and selling their Air 2S’s to offset the cost 2) those that don’t use their drones are selling them for a bit of spare cash for Xmas. The market should hopefully calm down soon 🤞🏻

Best comparison I've seen yet - great job keeping it simple and to the point. As a photographer image quality is king - however, I don't like to spend more money if it isn't needed. I'll keep my Air 2S and when I really need the variable aperture I'll go with my Evo 2 Pro. The color science on the E2P is really good - I'd compare it to maybe Fujifilm. Anyways thanks for helping me confirm my choice. Cheers.

Thanks for this video. I bought a Mini 2 back in June and am now looking to buy another drone. Think I will go for an Air2S, because it seems to place itself between the Mini's and the Maxis. Thanks for the info.

Air 2S is a solid choice and definitely places itself in a nice balance or portability and performance.

@@stuartmartin093 The Air 2S also folds down into a more compact, sturdier form. The Mavic 3's longer, thinner arms are a bit fiddley when placed back against the drone. It's understandable why the gimbal protector also has to hold those arms/propellers in place.

If your ok to use the bigger more bells and whistles performance and you can hone your skills in one drone only and not upgrading every year.. go for the M3 classic..have mini 2, air2s skipped the mini 3 pro cause i don’t want to spend and waste my money on another mid tier drone.. went ahead to get the M3 classic and just wow! Just the longer flight times, full feature,full obstacle avoidance, cruise control those are just few things..theres more..

I part traded in my Air 2S for a Mavic 3 (not the Cine) earlier this year. The Air 2S is a very fine all round drone. The Mavic 3 or Classic is definitely worth the cost, but it does depend on whether you need it or not. I did and I have no regrets, even with the Classic being available at a lower cost (something that was already widely rumored when I bought the Mavic 3). I know the pricing is high, but it is justified. Even the Cine version of the Mavic 3. The RC Pro costs about euro 1,020, the Apple Pro Res licence costs about US$ 1,000. The contents of the Fly More bundles are always cheaper than buying the same items separately, even at reduced individual prices. It's not excessive pricing by DJI. And I did find a significant improvement in image quality and colour fidelity with the Mavic 3 at any time of day. It's a brighter, more detailed, more accurate image. Just be careful with the blind spot in the Mavic 3 obstacle avoidance (from top rear to front in the shape of a stretched triangle extending several feet - see the YT video about this and the Mavic 3 user guide downloadable from DJI's website's Mavic 3 webpages). And always check the Fly App's icons for the sensors (top right of screen) in low light conditions. The obstacle detection/avoidance sensors can be disabled in insufficient light and the Fly App message can be missed if you aren't looking at the screen at that exact moment.

What is you would live and buy it in Europe and most objects would be green places like forests where objects in or surrounded by woods? having it as addition with a camera and gimble. Most of the time objects woulb be reachable by a car and just sometimes with backpacks?

Great video, breaking down the major concerns and pros and cons. Where in the UK would you normally sell your drone? I am looking to upgrade to something like the Air 2 S from the Air but I don't want to have to keep multiple drones that I won't be using.

I bought the Air 2S literally a month before the mini 3 and regretted it since the mini 3 was only $200 more.. unfortunately i couldnt return it and havent done much with it

So the Air 2S I find is much more capable than the Mini 3. Any of the Mini drones struggle in anything more than slightly windy. The Mini 3 Pro was certainly a step up from the Mini 2 in terms of image quality and features but the Air 2S still has it beat in almost every way other than portability and where you can fly.

I bought the Air2S a while ago as a replacement for my Mini2. Main reason was the wind resistance and image quality. Never regretted it. But, the ruling are getting stricter and stricter AND sometime people started complaining about that drone in the air, "while it's not allowed here". While it was btw So, I bought the Mini 3 Pro too... I'm impressed about the wind resistance (even while it bouncing in all direction the footage is quite steady), the image quality and how silent it is. It my favourite drone to take with me when going on a trip, fly to another country etc. However, the Air2S beats the image quality and the stability to a large extend. Certainly when taking sunset shots, there's a huge difference. And the Air2S feel so much sturdier. Now the Mavic 3 Classic is out, I'm considering trading in the Air2s for the Mavic 2 Classic. But that'd be a firm invesment. And the Mavic 3 is even louder than the Air 2(S). My $0.02

Definitely the Air 2s if its for professional work. Last thing you want is to get to a job then not be able to fly because its a bit windy.

I fly for money and I have made many thousands of dollars off my air 2's. Recently sold it to buy the mavic 3 and I honestly miss it very much. The mavic 3 is nice but it's not enough of an upgrade. Wish I would have kept myair 2s

I was reluctant to say how I got it because I got it from Very. The way to get it is you have to buy the drone using Very Pay (finance) and use the code “WELCOME”. It has to be your first purchase on Very Pay so not everyone will be able to get it. I was also reluctant to say because I’d hate for someone to buy this over the Air 2S if they cant afford it and have to use finance just because Very has a good deal. Ive seen people get stung by Very and I would never recommend their finance plans. I paid it all off as soon as it had gone through and I’m waiting for statement day so I can close the account.

Was that the woods near preston? I have been there with my drone on that waterfall

Sorry, did I miss it or perhaps you did not mention that the Classic has all round sensors and Cruise Cotrol, both of which I appreciate in this drone. And the 46 minutes battery life sure beat two 31 minute ones of the Air 2S, in that it offers a longer shooting time for videos. I have both the 2S and 3 Classic, and enjoy flying both on different occasions.

I kind of mention the battery life, I say something to the effect of 2 batteries in the Mavic 3 being equivalent in flight time to the Air 2s 3 batteries. The quoted flight time from spec sheets are never correct. This was my thought process for my personal decision, I’m not someone who relies on obstacle avoidance so didn’t speak on the sensors as Ive never used them on either drone. Maybe I could test obstacle avoidance out and try for myself at some point and see wether I can see the difference between the 2. Cruise control I’ve also never used. I will start using automated features one day but I enjoy flying too much lol

@@stuartmartin093 Well, I guess we both enjoy our drones in different ways - that's great 👍 For me, I enjoy letting it go on Cruise Control and watch the sensors at work avoiding obstacles along the way. Also like the Follow Me mode in wooded areas. Try it sometimes 😊

You had an amazing discount on your Mavic 3 so of course it's better choice. But in other countries that price difference between them both it's literally a great decision point . If you are no an professional or if you don't have incredible strong winds like you guys have the Air 2s it's an amazing tool for beginners and people that are new in the professional market.

You can still fly it in the UK however it will be a “legacy drone” which at nearly 900 grams means it wont be able to fly near any uninvolved people, properties or traffic. We can still do this until 2026 at the earliest. This is unless DJI manages to get the marking for the UK retroactively for the Mavic 3 line which they may do. However in EU countries that C1 marking of the Mavic 3 Classic means you can fly closer to uninvolved people you just cant fly over uninvolved peoples heads.

Please use a lav mic or other close mic for your videos. Compared to other KZread content creators, it’s harder to understand what you’re saying because of all the room ambience in the audio. I’ve only watched a minute so far. Not sure whether I’ll watch more due to this problem.

Is there a built in gimbal lock on the Mavic 3/Cine which is not present on the Classic ?

Yes on the original Mavic 3 models there is a gimbal lock that is not present on the classic, I don’t find this to be an issue though.

@@stuartmartin093 The Mavic 3 gimbal lock (when powered off) isn't 100% reliable. If the gimbal is pushed enough it can become loose again. Something which has happened to me a couple of times while transporting it in the Fly More bag.

They were absolutely involved. The ones in the maze are my nephews, nieces, sister in laws, partner and my step-children, 16 of us total and didnt see any other people the ones on the cliffs are my step-children, myself, my partner and her other sister 👍🏻

This was in a park that goes very quiet after 4PM on a weekend, especially when its only 2 degrees and not brilliant weather. Maybe next time dont speak if you wasnt there. Notice how the field ahead is practically empty? That should be your biggest clue. The only people I fly over are my family.
