My mate played me and my brother the 12” of this in 1994 in my student flat, we were equally terrified and buzzing, we’d never listened to anything like this before

Would anyone from the UK ever thought this would be listened by someone from a little country of South America 25 years later? This is really great stuff.

Honestly, I didn't, it just started off locally in London and then a few other cities like Bristol, Manchester and Birmingham playing this. It was only underground raves and pirate radio with the exception of DJ Hype on legal radio. Big up all the Junglists worldwide!!!

Big up your national radio, even this tune never got played enough on commercial radio in London, although Hype was on Kiss FM and part of the Ganja Crew. This tune was a pirate radio classic and all time ravers tune. Big up all international junglists!!

I remember dancing to this at about 6am on the main stage at Dreamscape 20 in front of about 10,000 people, absolutely flying but with a special access anywhere wrist band that got me back stage at every tent being played. Possibly the most immense night of my life. Props to Theo for that one!

I have this track in a bootleg I bought in 1990-something in São Paulo/Brazil, but the vocals, regardless saying the same, are in a different voice, cooler, I might say. 2023 and Jungle is due to a comeback! ! !

Once again I am astounded that a tune can get over a million hits!! Superb!!

(Repost) Not many people know that this track was written whilst Zinc was locked in his spare room by Hype who was trying to catch a rat. The rat had got into his house and kept chewing through the wires in the home studio set-up. As he was shit scared of the rat Hype offered to catch it so Zinc got his Atari and sampler out and sat in the box room. Shit got real when Hype lifted the carpet up and about 10 rats ran out and one got under Zinc's door. Everyone was shouting and Pascal got bitten. Zinc froze with fear with his finger on the copy sample button... this created the bassline for this track that we have all enjoyed from time to time.

First time I heard this tune I was about 17 with friends in a treehouse made of wooden pallets (looking back it was basically a handmade drug den) and off our faces on mushrooms. We each had our own walkmans on going through a new tape pack Dreamscape? Odyssey?? This fuckin banger dropped and i couldn't stop shouting at everyone to listen to it while simultaneously not letting them take it off me lol. It always caused chaos when and where ever it got played back then!

It's so tearin' and you can do a lot with it as a producer, Dom & Roland's "Tramen" break reinvigorated it again in the late 90's by pitching the Amen down and combining it with James Brown's "Tighten Up" break. I've used Amen loads but mostly in the background as it's so potent.

Raved Telepathy and Orange nights at the Hippodrome. That was when raving in central London was the epic! they killed off the rave scene a decade later. The Westend does not have the same experience as the 90s.
