DJ Yella Discusses Being the Only NWA Member at Eazy-E's Funeral

Ойын-сауық

www.vladtv.com - DJ Yella recently spoke to VladTV about the last interaction he had with Eazy-E right before the legendary emcee succumbed to complications from AIDS.
The founding member of NWA told us he spoke with Eazy during an adult film he was shooting at the "Eazy-Duz-It" emcee's home. Yella then revealed that Eazy told him to "watch yourself" before it was announced that he had AIDS, which the producer later realized was the rapper's way of telling him about his illness.
After revealing his passion to do music died when Eazy passed away, Yella addressed being the only NWA member to attend his funeral. He explained that the members will never discuss why they didn't go to the funeral, but he guessed "some people probably just can't take it."
Check out more of what DJ Yella had to say in the above clip.

To the people saying that they didn’t attend because they hated Eazy, MC Ren made a whole ALBUM dedicated to Eazy (Ruthless for life). Dr Dre had a verse tributing Eazy in “What’s The Difference” on the 2001 album, and visited his grave in the music video for “I need a doctor”. Also, Dre was serving an 8 month prison sentence at the time when Eazy’s funeral took place. Ice cube got the group back together to perform “Chin Check” as a tribute to Eazy for Next Friday’s soundtrack, and his song 'Growin Up' was a tribute to Eazy. I don’t think that they didn’t attend the funeral because they hated Eazy. Dre literally couldn’t attend and Eazy already reconciled with Cube before his death, plus they both visited him in the hospital during his last days. It’s more likely that they didn’t go because they couldn’t handle seeing E in that casket like that. R.I.P Eazy E

Eazy and Ren may have been the most gangsta, Cube might have been the most lyrical and Dre might have been the most musically gifted, but Yella was by far the realest man among them. He never took the disses to heart, stayed true to those around him and was the only member of NWA who truly remained loyal to Eric by finishing his last album for him and attending his funeral. I always liked Yella, but I've got a newfound respect for him. He really is a class act.

What I think about watching this, is how we rarely express our emotions in the hood. When Easy said "watch yourself" there was probably more he wanted to say but didn't. I recently went to a friends funeral and it was the same way. I thought many of the crew would show up but they didn't. The guy who passed was someone everyone knew and hung with, at some time. When I asked people why they didn't come, some said they didn't want to see him like that, but others brought up old petty shit as to why they didn't come.

I refuse to go to funerals and choose to remember people how they were alive with good memories. As a kid i went to several wakes and funerals of passed family members and when I got older I decided I am not doing it no more and it has nothing to do with respect as I won't go to anymore including family. Wakes especially are just too morbid and I don't want that as my final memory of my loved ones. Call it disrespectful or whatever you want. When I die I already have plans made for no wake or funeral.

Stop pointing the finger at Suge if Suge done that he definitely wouldn't of said that on live TV like are you dumb? He definitely had something to do with Biggie's death but does he go on live TV and admit to it? No. Eazy had the Jewish Defence League around him doing security. Even though they were a legal organisation they were like a mafia at the same time. Mike Klien who was a member of the JDL who was head of security Eazy E promoted him to head of business affairs before he died because Mike Klien invested some money into Ruthless when Ruthless's money was low. So when he was promoted to head of business affairs he had 50% of the company so I think the JDL killed him to get control of ruthless. And Tomica and that lawyer who read out Eazy's statement were all involved in some part as well.

Dj Yella is good. He knows what actually happened. When the question of Eazy being injected was asked, the look on his face and body language changed. That is a sign of not having comfort while the question is brought up. He knows what more than what we as the public are being told.

I swear I feel like Yella knows about it all, but not telling because of the streetcode. The same thing with Biggie when he got shot in his car, biggies friend who sat close to the window saw who it was that murdered him. But said he aint going to snitch.

Telling on the person that killed your friend ain't snitching. Snitching is when you tell on your friends to get your charges reduced.

@@kreativekulturetv2488 " I know who did it, but I cant say who because of the street code ", which just means he won't snitch. So if your friend got killed by a gang. You would tell the Police who did it, which now is apparently not "snitching".

I loved the movie and saw it three times, but the more interviews I see, the more inaccurate and cloudy things are becoming. Some things aren't threading well anymore. O'Shea said in his _Behind the Music_ that the last time they saw each other was in New York and he wanted to picture Eric walking away and not in a casket. I wish they would've incorporated that into the movie. Good interview.
