I was an American 21 year old back in 1992 when my English mates first introduce me to these classics back in the Rave days. Songs like Prodigy's Pandemonium, A Juicy Red Apple by Skin Up, Music Takes You by Blame (2 bad mice mix), Temple of Dreams by Messiah, Alternate by Activ 8 etc..

As well as I wish I could have grown up or traveled to the Netherlands, Germany or Britain during the glory days of old school style raves. No cell phones, no care in the world and everyones dancing. I wish I could have gotten a taste of that even just for a couple of years.

24 US here i know the feeling. Been discovering and appreciating the music for many years now. I can say its certainly my favorite type of music for alot of reasons, its utopic world view, its headnotic stabs, its one of those things you just feel and you know.

It makes me more euphoric then the stuff of my fellow countrymen making them famous today. Climax versus anti-climax, I guess.

You imagine the old Folks homes in 30 years. You are gonna have Seduction Banging out in the Common meeting room - Cream Classics or Retro in Vera's room down the Hall and Donk down in Dereks room lol.. All the Staff off there head on old Strawberries or Doves that we have been saving for a Rainy day. Its gonna be mad. It wont be a case of "Does this look a nice place for Mum or Dad" - It will be a case of do they play the tunes they Like and do they have access to a set of 1200's and a Sound System. You wont want to live near an old folks home in 30 years trust me lol - Dj John playing a Few Bowel shakers at 4am as the Suns coming up over the car park Ha Ha !!!!!

The best Hardcore imo was from 91'- 92', Did the graveyard shift and early morning slots when i was a pirate dj on Pulse Fm 90.6 based in Hackney then on to Wonderland, Roller Express and absolutely destroying the crowd with Jimmy Crash, Luxury 2, Exodus 2 and the rest. Happy Times.

I agree, 91 & 92 for me was like 67 & 68 was for the sixties generation. Used to listen to Pulse , dream FM ,Don and later Freeze , best times after coming back from clubs .

Great mix, I remember chewing his ear off at the side of the DJ box at a crunch flashback trying to describe death by stereo to him to see if he had it lol, he didn't tell me to get lost bless him, he was very gracious. I blame the 90s naughties.

He set out to do it and achieved it, both times! It is far from the remakes and newcore (if you like) stuff being produced right now, some of which is awesome but they just doesn't carry 'that' vibe. So it's ok to get toons that sound like they come from the early 90's which are made today, but it's special to have toons that came from the early 90's that are made today.
