► Background Story: We wrote this song in 2020 in the aftermath of the #ZimLivesMatter protest that rocked the world in 2020. The movement was modeled after the American Black Lives Matter campaign. The protest movement was directed towards the Zimbabwean government of incumbent Emmerson Mnangagwa who took over through a 2017 bloodless coup from Robert Mugabe.
