@@TR8o8 Me three ! This was one of the first videos on youtube I was addicted to watching, and 17 years alter I'm still addicted to it. Even with the couple of needle jumps, it's still almost peak Qbert.
the way he simulates a delay effect, is marvelous!
18 years later I’m still watchin this!!!! From 2006-present! This is real DJ’ing!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Yup
the best scratch ever, my childhood
This video inspired many turntablist around the world. This video still motivate me until this day. Got this through kazaa (P2P). It was a popular leech. Thank you DJ Q-Bert. Most DJ wanted to put a dash into their DJ name because of him. I'm included. Just two turntable and one mixer. That's the greatest era. Jedi without skipless battle records. Right now most turntablist become sampler. It's all just personal preference. It just a different era with different approach. I personally prefer the old way. ✊🏽

Me neither
Downloaded this video at that time with edonkey or napster... Old good times. I was watching in loop.
First video i ever saw of qbert , back in 2003 or 04.. i watched it like a 1000 times, and still come back from time to time..
1:05 needle jumps the groove, he recovers and makes it sound fly. that's a professional
2021 I’m still watching this shit. This videos 14 years old surviving 2 recessions 😂

I saw this before KZread. It’s from 1998. Really illustrates how “good” KZread can be. Kinda like nuclear power. It’s great until it’s not. 😂😂
What the true DJ/scratching culture was about, none of that digital horseshit they use nowdays. This takes true skill
One of the best examples of turntablism on the plane,t truly amazing, @ 1:27 how he cuts through that snare is ridiculous.
This Video / QBERT is one of the main reasons I got my 1210s in 2000 and started cutting and scratching. Damn, those DIY days with qbert.. I miss it
Easily one of the best of all time. Qbert is a legend. This set was legendary. 22 years of my jaw dropping every time.
Been looking for this video for years..
Probably one of the best scratch routines of all time!!!.
2k19 and still Rollin
I'm glad I found this video again. Always loved watching QBert.

Wrong year bud😂 unless you a time traveler🤘💯
Q is the world's greatest DJ. The greatest.
The beat is "Back To The Old School Break" from Babu's "Super Duck Breaks ...The Saga Begins".
That's a dope chicken shirt.
Ive had the pleasure of meeting and playing with him in a small bar just south of Houston st in Manhattan for an open DJ night back in the mid/late 90's. Maybe Stanton and Clinton intersections area. Cool guy, glad to see him always moving forward. A true pioneer of the times. Much respect! ✌&❤
The guy is out offff this world biggest respect to Dj Qbert
Q-bert is just beyond amazing. Never fails to make me watch in awe. Respect for the upload and to the Master of the cut.
This the video that set me off as a kid , late?2000 as a 9yr old and I knew I would become a tablist - fav part is when the vid feed cuts to black toward end and all u hear is the baby scratch over “makin me itch..”as the beat fades out. Badass
used to listen to this as a teenager smoking weed n poppin Es lol
scratch technique has come a long way since 1997, but in my opinion this is his best performance. Then there was magic
Q was always sick & always will be the dopest scratcher ever period
I started scratchin in 1998, I was 13, this set kicked my ass, now iam 33 and this set still one of the most incredible piece of turntablism i ve everseen, even when the niddle jump, the mistake sounds good.. Perfect rythms, tones, dynamics, WEAKED !!!!

Wow i remember DL these old vids of DJ Qbert after seeing him on one of those Toonami segments where they talk to real people about life and how to be the best you can be and such feels like it was so long ago (only 2004)
Qbert and MixMasterMike are my two favorites... and I can't forget DJ Babu either...
I know a 16 year old from San Diego that’s going to bring the old school back trust me he’s gonna be dope

SIK I've got a track on my phone by Q-Bert called get ready for alot of fun and excitiment, and I literally can't find it anywhere,, which is bloody good and bloody annoying also, but I've had it for at least 10 years, and had at least 8 smartphones in those years, so don't think I'll ever loose it,, Q-Bert is right up there with some of the best, 🎼🎼🎼🙏

keep it up. would love to hear your finished version, if you rec. it.
too raw... and so old...
classic stuff right here this guy is a scratch master .
I love Q Bert, Mix Master Mike, Z-Trip and Starscream. If you like this you should check out the documentary Scratch by Doug Pray. It has stuff on 3 of the 4 plus some. Such as Herbie Hancock. It’s one of the few documentaries I like.
Im bringing the tripple sixth comment with heat! ! This man is my extraterestial scratch god. The best hands dow .
Seeing Q-Bert on the decks is like seeing Jimi Hendrix on guitars
